Chapter Forty - Loss

Everything was great, so tranquil and soothing. It must've been at least eight ol clock at night.

A well aged woman hums to herself within the kitchen, washing some dishes, until the front door opens. She smiles warmly as she makes her way there. "Darling, you're finally back!" "It was just golf with the guys, I don't always take that long do I?" The female laughs softly.

"Oh but darling, you've missed our boy!" The male tilted his head. "Seidou was here? Oh, damn...I'm sorry, I didn't think he would visit today." "It's alright, he understood. Though...I don't know why he would visit all of a sudden, knowing our boy, it's typically when something's on his mind." 

The male shrugged. "Maybe he just...missed us, and that's all there is to it?" Michie sighs softly. "I hope so, I just prey he's not worried about anything..." "So he didn't want to stay the night? I know he has his own apartment, but..." The mother shook her head. "He left, he told me he had something work related to deal with."

Seiki scoffed. "I should really talk to him about that; it's not healthy to only focus on work." Michie giggles softly, wrapping her arms around the male. "You can say that again... Even though he tries to appear fine, there's always something there that stresses him out..." 

The male kisses her forehead, smiling warmly. "Well...should we...catch up from this morning~?" The male winked, hinting at something...slightly subtle. Michie blushes softly. "Sure thing, just let me get ready first~!" 

And so the male went up into their room, as the female the supplies needed for tonight's...'activities'.

By the finish, the male is left panting, spooning with his lovely life partner. They giggle and kissed each other softly, leaving the male giggling from the afterglow. "W-Wow, you always know what you're doing..." He stated with an exhausted voice. She smirks slyly, kissing his cheek. "I know, and you did so well yourself."

The male suddenly frowns, and he looks away. "I'm sorry you didn't get your release..." Michie scoffs, kissing his forehead this time. "That's okay, I don't mind. It still felt amazing, it feels even better when I know it's with you. I love you hun..."

Seiki sighs. "I really tried..." "I know you did, and I'm proud of you for that." Seiki's breath quivers, as he struggled to keep himself awake.

"You can sleep Seiki, you've earned it. You need plenty of rest anyway." And so, the male passes out instantly.

He woke up, to sounds of sizzling and the clanks of pots and pans. Looking around, his dear wife was not around, looking over at the time. '7:26...? I still have time for some breakfast.' The male sat up, peacefully getting out of bed and putting on his pajamas.

He walks down the stairs, making his way to the kitchen/dinning room. Seina was there, looking over some beauty and fashion magazine. Seiki sighs softly. "Seina, can you please stop reading that, at least for now? Breakfast is family time." Seina snorts, shrugging her shoulders as she kept her eyes on the magazine.

"Can't, it's homework." Seiki sighs deeply, pinching the bridge of his nose. Michie turns her head, looking over at them slightly. "Come now Seiki, Seina can do both! She's a young lady you know, it's a girl thing." Seiki scoffs. "Fine."

The father then takes a seat, as the mother turns back around to focus on her cooking. Rocky soon comes in, as if he too was part of the family, going under the table and looking up at each of his owners.

Suddenly, out of the blue... As Seina kept looking down at the magazine, she brings someone up. "Mom, Dad? Next time, could you keep it down?" 

Seiki suddenly drops a fork he was randomly holding onto, and Michie jolts her entire body, causing herself to drop a cooking egg. To which Rocky goes up to said egg and eats it up.
