Chapter Seven - Freedom?

Seidou began stretching, preparing to run with everything he had, even if it meant pushing far beyond the limit yet again. 'You can do this, you can do this... They're wrong about you, remember that...' The male thought to himself. Sighing deeply, the male reassured himself. 'They won't get you this time, just remember to keep running... They're wrong about you, you are capable of fighting back!'

And suddenly, the alarm was set and some voices were heard in the background, but went away shortly. Seidou sighed deeply, as he tested the cell door; it just slid open from his small push. No one was around, the perfect time to book it!

Seidou looked around for a bit, seeing no one near by. 'Perfect...!' He thought.

Backing up and going down in the runner's position, he bolts it. His legs were oddly light, and that could've been caused by the stretching. His body was mostly healed from any wound, from the experimentation. Seidou couldn't help but smile, he felt lucky enough, this has to be his day.

But suddenly, a female figure runs out of a room, crashing into the male. Both parties fell to the ground, Seidou panicked, and looked quickly at who it was while rubbing his back. "Oww...! Huh-?!" He looked to see nonother than the kind female he had learnt to trust.

However, it was still unknown to him if she could just allow him to leave. Well, she still is Kanou's assistant, and even though she was all against the torture, there was still a chance she had to do what she had to do.

"Huh, Takizawa...? What are you-?" Seidou then quickly stands up and attempted to run for the hills, when his wrist is suddenly grabbed. "L-Let go of me! I'm sorry, but you have to let me escape!" "Takizawa, wait we have to talk! Not for too long, but please listen!"

Sweidou shakes his head, then Kimi stands up facing him. "Takizawa, how do you expect to do that?! We're on an island, we're in the middle of an ocean!" "I found a way... But please, let me go! I don't want to hurt you after all you've done for me!"

The female sighed. "How did you-? Never mind; do you have any idea what's out there?! What could happen to you?! I've met someone like you, and...they had to live in constant fear on who was going to hurt them or hurt those close with them! Something out there can seriously hurt you!"

The male scoffed. "Like that hasn't been happening here? I'm willing to risk it and take this chance! Please Nishino!" The female frowned, looking down then up again, smiling warmly and softly.

"I...I knew you would, I just...wanted to warn you first. And please...call me Kimi." The female sighed. "I waited for a moment like this to come, for you to make this decision. Listen..." Her face becomes even more determined. "I...know a male. He's a ghoul, as you know. He has light brown hair and eyes, and he wears these glasses, and...he has a bikaku kagune. Just mention my name and he'll protect you! If you ever meet..." A tear rolls down her face.

"Be safe, and..." She uses the hand she held Seidou's wrist with and pulls him in for a hug, holding him closely. She whispers into his ear. "Good luck..."

She then lets him go, causing Seidou to instantly turn around and run for it. However, right when he's at the big exit, he turns his face and smiles without saying anything, before leaving. Kimi sighed then continued with her orders, feeling satisfied and content with the male's escape.  

'Good for him...' She thought before running herself.

And of course back to the male, it was still a long way to get to his ride off of that rock. Up ahead he smells two humans and two ghouls. Getting to the humans, they quickly recognize him and attempt grabbing a hold on him.

Seidou punching the first human then grabs the other one's arm and flipped them onto their back. As he ran, he quickly turned his head. "Sorry!" He shouted before turning back around and focuses forward.
