Into The Rose Garden (Seidou x Kanae/Karren)

Chapter Sixty-nine - Love?

As days of training had been taking place and Kanae and Seidou get used to each other's presence, as well as routine, the two learn how to cooperate together. Matsumae pants heavily, as does Kanae. Seidou pants as well, but oddly it's to a lesser extent.

"W-Wow Seidou...I-I think..." Matsumae continues to pant. "I-I think your body is way up ahead..." Seidou shook his head. "Not really; from what I understand, women have better stamina and endurance, or they're suppose to. I should be just as exhausted, or even more so." Matsumae sighs.

"Y-Yeah, but...we're focusing on the heavyweight kind of stuff, even with our ghoul bodies, i-it's..." Seidou scoffs. "What are you talking about?! You guys were amazing! It's been awhile since you've last trained, and I try fitting in time to train with teacher Yomo and Kirishima." 

Kanae suddenly huffs, lifting his head up high. "Speaking of which; have you managed to release your kagune, even by accident?" Seidou frowns and lowers his head. "I-I haven't...not in a long time." Matsumae smiles warmly. "That's fine, everyone has a different time. You're just a late bloomer, you'll eventually do it, I know you will!"

Matsumae wipes the sweat from her forehead. "Well...I'll go get us some water and protein, wait here you two!" Kanae and Seidou wave toward the female as she left. "Be back soon!" "We'll be waiting Matsumae." Kanae finished.

Seidou smiled warmly, as Kanae looked at him, frowning. "You...love her, don't you?" Seidou scoffed softly, tilting his head. "Wait, love...? Well um..." Seidou blushed, blushing even more bright and vibrant colors. "I-I don't really know about love, but she really does mean so much to me. But I really do like her, however...love is...effort, attention, conflicting and... There's so much complexity behind feeling love, and not just the romantic kind."

Seidou sighed softly, letting his face dim down. Turning his body towards the younger male. "I like Matsumae, but it's...not the kind of love you may think. I did have a crush on her, sure, I still do! But...she's a good friend, and I don't wish for that to change." Kanae lowered his eyelids, somewhat doubtful.

"W-Well...how can you even tell the difference between such things?" Seidou shrugged. "I don't really fully know, I've never been IN love. Yes, I've obviously felt...attracted to other women, but...connections are very tough." Seidou snorts at himself. 

"D-Don't laugh at me, but sometimes I could be...a...'hopeless romantic'..." To which Kanae snorted in return. "Really, you?" "Yeah yeah, you may laugh. It's not common, just when I'm...a little lonely." Seidou flinches. "Hey wait a minute, what got you into this question in the first place?"

Kanae scoffed. "Just thought to ask, seeing how your simping is going..." "It's not simping! W-We're friends! Now you with Shuu, that's simping!" Kanae blushed immensely, releasing his kagune. "H-Hey, that was so uncalled for!" 

Seidou chuckled softly, as he crossed his arms. "Well sure, but-!" "Hey guys, look who wanted to join us!" Donut is seen, running towards the male. "Hi Donut~!" Going into his arms, Seidou holds the good doggo.

"Donut~!" He squealed, with Matsumae tossing over to him a water bottle. "Here, catch!" In which he swiftly does, as Matsumae looked over at Kanae. "You guys talk about anything interesting?" Kanae scoffed. "What makes you ask that?" "Well, for one you are blushing...and yeah that's it." Kanae felt his cheeks, as they blush even more.

 "Is there anything I should know about-?" "No! N-Not at all, the weather is just...hot out." Seidou looked up at the two, as did sweet Donut. Seidou cleared his throat. "Hey Matsumae? This may be a little...weird to ask of you, but...have you ever been in love?" Kanae tenses up. "Sei-!" "No, well maybe. I don't really know, I haven't found the right own yet." Seidou smiled nervously.

"Oh, I see. Neither have I, so...welcome to the club?" Matsumae smiled in return. "Thank you?" Leaving them both to giggle. Seidou stood up, holding onto Donut's leash as she stood by his side. "Well, we should go for a jog. I'm sure Donut would like that as well~." Donut jumped at the idea of a walk with her beloved owner.

Kanae groaned, standing by Matsumae as Seidou went up ahead. "And there he goes, just doing his own thing I guess now..." Matsumae turned her head to the male. "Do you like, have feelings for Seidou...?" Kanae gasped lightly, as he had started blushing again.

"What, of course I don't! T-The guy is...is...! I just don't, not like-!" "Alright, just teasing. Come on, before Seidou gets too far..." Kanae gasped, whispering. "Too far..." Before he goes into a sprint, chasing after the brunette male. "Wait, Seidou! Wait on us, please hold on!"

Matsumae sighed, jogging at a normal rate as she followed the two men. Love, such a complex word it seemed.
