Into The Rose Garden (Seidou x Kanae/Karren)

Chapter Three - Decision

Three days has past since that explicit moment for Seidou. Much can't be detailed, it should remain unspoken of. The experiments never stopped, despite his already existing afflictions, he was given zero sympathy and no mercy. His body functions were invaded, he's been torn from his torso so has his arms, leaving him with no functioning arms until they were to grow back, sections of his body her cut open for research. All sorts of things.

And of course, he felt lonely beyond words. He didn't have anyone to talk to or hang out with, everyone just treated him like a means to an end. 

Seidou sat down on the floor, staring at the container, containing a certain liquid. The smell was enticing, it reminded him so much of his favorite meals as a human. The food his mother made, the food he had with friends and even the simple snacks that kept him occupied. He felt his stomach worsen and ache, how long was he planning on starving himself? 

Seidou looked around, looking for possible onlookers, seeing no one he sighed then crawled towards the container.  The smell was becoming stronger and stronger with how closer he was getting; it smelled like pure goodness.

Seidou took a hold of it, allowing himself to succumb to the cravings and hunger, by  pouring the sweet and savory liquid into his mouth. The taste was beyond words, but a sudden feeling of guilt was within his chest the moment he snapped out of it and finished the crimson drink. The male shed a single tear, wiping it away and soon his eyes are flooded. He sobbed quietly to himself, as to not seem pathetic or weak.

And eventually his cell door opens, and surprisingly, it wasn't anyone he knew. Not Kanou, nor Tatara, but...a female. The female smiled warmly and kindly, Seidou was confused, that smile was nothing like Kanou's. In fact, it reminded him of an old superior. Her hair was a short light brown, and her eyes were as well. Her smell wasn't that of a ghoul, so she must've been human.

"H-Hello... W-Who are you?" The female smiled softly and chuckled. "It's so good to finally meet you, my name is Kimi Nishino! And I know your name already, but would you care to tell me yourself...?" Normally Seidou would've been too nervous with people that work there, the people that do vile things to him. But for some unexplained reason, he felt a little safer with her. As if her energy was just...beaming.

Seidou nods. "M-My name is...Seidou Takizawa..." Kimi giggled lightly. "What a lovely name, it fits someone like you." "A-Are going to hurt me as well, because I prefer it if you tell me now." Kimi closed her eyes and sighed warmly.

"No, don't worry, I won't do such a thing. No one is going to do that today, we're just doing simpler tests." Seidou sighed with major relieve, placing his good hand on his chest onto his chest. "Thank you..." "Hey, if you don't mind, can I...help you? I mean, help you into the wheelchair." Seidou blushed lightly. 

"U-Uh...sure!" Kimi then reaches her hands onto Seidou and lifts from his left arm and torso. Seidou blushed even more, feeling like a small child with their mother. Once she got him on, he looked down to his lap and glanced at her only once. "Thanks..." He said quietly. Kimi smiled and nodded, getting behind him to push.

She takes him out of the room, and takes him on a little stroll. She begins having small talk with the male. "So um...where did live before?" Seidou turns his head to look at the female. "You...really want to know...?" Kimi nods, and Seidou continues. 

"Well, I was an investigator in the 20th ward; I lived there and so does my family-!" Seidou cuts himself off, only Kimi heard him say the whole word. "You have a family...?" Seidou nods. "I was born there as the oldest." 

"So if you still have a family, why did you join the CCG?" Seidou sighed. "It's...a little personal, I'm sorry. I can't really share that." Kimi smiled warmly. "That's fine, you have that right."
