Into The Rose Garden (Seidou x Kanae/Karren)

Chapter Sixty-seven - Home

Kanae activates a single kagune, merely using it to reach a specific hard-to-reach area. And Seidou merely remains down low, focusing on cleaning the tables and shining them. He looks over at Kanae and scoffs.

"So...you use your kagune for...cleaning...?" Kanae shrugs lightly. "Well, yeah. Why not? Trust me, it's really convenient." Seidou raises an eyebrow, finishing up on the table. "I mean...isn't it a little...dangerous?" 

Kanae snorts accidently, covering up his mouth. "'Dangerous'?! Sure, if I couldn't have control over it!" Seidou blushes softly. "O-Oh..." "I guess you didn't know that because...you're still struggling with using yours?" The male shrugs, but soon nods softly.

Kanae scoffs lightly. "Don't blame yourself, you used to be human, so of course you hadn't learned about this sort of thing."

Seidou sighs, leaning his body onto the table, resting his chin on top of his palm. "Gee, thanks for the refresher..." Kanae puts on a wide smirk. "Anytime~!"

To which, Seidou couldn't help but smile. "Hey Kanae, does the fact that I...used to be human ever bother you?" Kanae tilted his head and lowered one of his brows. "Well, sure at first! But...to be honest, as I've kept track of your work and you actually treat everyone here pretty well, I would say now it doesn't matter. You've been here for a while, so now I can feel better having you around."

Seidou looks over at Kanae, seeing the younger male still working on his cleaning duty. Seidou chuckled lightly, feeling ready for some long-awaited payback.

"Hey Kanae!" "Hmm...?" The male looks over at Seidou, to which he continued. "So hey, do you ghouls...like, engage in 'kagune sex'?" Suddenly, Kanae turns completely red, nearly dropping his duster. "What?!"

"I mean, that's a thing, right?" Seidou asks with genuine curiosity, while as Kanae scoffs. "What?! Ew no! Why are you even saying garbage like that, I thought you hated that kind of talk?!" Seidou swayed his body. "I do, but I needed to get back at you for all of our other conversations. But anyway, can someone actually do it with their-?" "Do NOT finish that sentence! And...I don't know, maybe! If the individual is into it, but...!" Kanae grunts roughly. "Seidou, this conversation is completely unneeded, why did you even-?!"

Suddenly, a certain canine enters the dinning room quietly and peacefully, nuzzling herself up to Seidou's leg. Seidou chuckles. "It looks like Donut's backing me up here." Kanae scoffs rudely. "Of course she is, that is technically her job you know." Seidou sighs. "Though, you're right. Let's talk about something else."

Kanae leaned his head forward. "Like...?" "Well...what made you live here?" Kanae scoffed. "I thought we already talked-!" "We did, but...I don't know... You've said that you lived in Germany before moving here, what caused such a change?" Kanae's eyelids lower, wearing a saddened expression.

"I-I'm sorry! You're right, I can't talk for shit! I-I'm so stupid...!" Kanae chuckles softly. "You really are...but...now I see the appeal. You really bring up the worst things, don't you? And yet you hide the most about yourself." Seidou frowns. "I-I'm sorry..."

Kanae softly gasps, seeing the saddened expression, losing in it's teasing and thoughtful nature. "H-Hey, I-I didn't... Seidou, I didn't mean it in a hurtful kind of way. Why the long face?" Seidou sighed, holding his chest softly as it ached. Donut took this as her cue, and nuzzled close to the male as she had begun whimpering. 

Seidou's mood lightens only slightly, as he began petting the female dog. Kanae looked at the other male, as something hits him. 

Seidou was hurt by his own actions, as well as the action of Kanae, which lead to Kanae to think over something. He had known that...Seidou had come from a dark and terrifying place, most possible was that he could've been all alone through all of it. And yet from time to time, Kanae was rather harsh with him.
