Into The Rose Garden (Seidou x Kanae/Karren)

Chapter Twenty-nine - Gift

Seidou hums to himself as he calmly sweeps up the floor from room-to-room, swaying his body within a rhythm. The male smiles to himself. 'I got to talk with Matsumae...!' The male's smile grew even wider.

'Wow, I can't remember the last time I've felt this way towards someone! How exciting!' Seidou thought to himself, all giddy-like. But soon, he shakes his head. 'N-No! Focus, there's still work to be had! And besides...maybe it's not right for a human and a ghoul to-!' 'You're not a human...!'

Seidou flinches, feeling a chill run down his spine. Every time he heard that voice, he couldn't but feel that way. He sighs to himself. "I can live anyway I want...!" "Live anyway how?" Suddenly Seidou jumps into the air, upon hearing the out-of-nowhere voice that was legitimately there.

"Eeeep!" The male squealed, which caused him to blush immensely. He turned around, laying his eyes onto a certain male.

"Oh, Rosewald! I-um, I wasn't-! I-I didn't see you there!" Kanae puts on a wide smile, smirking at the male. Seidou lowers his eyebrows. "W-What...?" "T-That sound...!" Seidou tilts his head. "What...?" "You sounded like a frightened puppy!" 

Kanae then proceeds to laugh out loud, openly but still mannered. Seidou's entire face flushes a deep red. "Wha-?! You scared me, I couldn't help it!"  

Kanae hunches over, hands on knees, as if he was in a teasing mood. "Draaaaw, does the little guy need to go for a walk?" Seidou suddenly shifts his mood into that of anger. "Hey! Why are you the one doing the teasing?! I thought you were...'too mannered' for something like that!"

Kanae scoffs lightly. "Did I ever say that? And even if I did, I can make an exception with fools like you!" Seidou turns his head away towards his left, only having his right eye opened on Kanae. "Well...you wouldn't like it if I did the exact same stunt with you."

Suddenly Kanae's smile goes away, and is replaced by a frown. "Try it, borg...!" The glare from the younger male somewhat...frightened Seidou. As if he was just reminded of what truly a beast Kanae was. 'Nothing but a ghoul...' The male thought to himself.

Kanae sighed, bringing back his composure. "Anyway... I brought you a little something." And so, Kanae held in front of him, a small gift box. Seidou looked carefully at the item, before looking back at the younger male.

"What's this?" "It's a gift, what else could it be?" Seidou gently shook his head. "N-No, I mean...why did you get this? I didn't need anything, I told you so." Kanae scoffed harshly. "No shit you told me! I just saw it and thought...you could use it."

Seidou gently placed a hand onto his chest. "G-Gee, I...I don't know what to say..." "Just open it and put it on!" Seidou tilted his head. "Put it on? So it's something to wear." "Open it already!"

Seidou scoffed. "OK! Ok...!" The brunette took the small, ribbon box and revealed to be...an eyepatch. A crimson eyepatch with a blue rose pattern on it. Seidou's eyes widened as he set his eyes on the item.

"You actually got me one..." Kanae sighed roughly. "O-Of course I did! Soon enough you'll be meeting with master Shuu, and I can't have you wearing that filthy cloth when you do." The male sighs. "Ok, ok... Should I put it on?" "Na sicher, beeile dich."

Seidou scratched his head. "Uh what?" "Ugh, just go for!" Seidou sighs. "Alright! God, what's up with you lately?" "Excuse me?!" Seidou cleared his throat. "I mean, not in that way. But...you were kind chill to talk with, so why are you suddenly so heated towards me?"

Kanae grunts rudely, adding in a tone of impatience. "Ugh, I've always acted this way towards you, haven't I?!" "Well, yeah at first. But you've been doing better, until now. What's going on? You didn't act this harsh when I was going to meet Mirumo."

Kanae sighed. "I-It's nothing, ok?! It's just...master Shuu hasn't...been around lately..." The younger male blushed softly, with Seidou raising an eyebrow at the reaction. "Y-You see...lately, he had really been stuck within his bedroom, with an unknown illness. And now that he is greatly recovering, just to meet you...I want you to be up high for any expectations he may have..."

Kanae continued. "He went through a lot, lost his motivation for his love of fine cuisine, and couldn't see the point in getting out of bed anymore..." Kanae sighs softly, placing both hands gently onto his chest, turning his head towards a nearby piano, sighing softly.

"You should listen to him play sometime, either from there or upstairs...it can make anyone want to play along... And the way he just...he just..." Seidou gasps softly, causing the younger male to shift his gaze towards him. 

"W-What, what is it?" "Oh god, you really like him, don't you?" Suddenly, Kanae's cheeks turn into a deep red. "WHAT?!" "You do, I can see it in your eyes!" Kanae scoffs harshly.

"I-I do not!" "Wow, and here you've been teasing me about Matsumae!" Kanae growls, giving a hint of violent intent. "I DO NOT!" Seidou then began waving his hands into basic knife hands, waving them at the younger male within a teasing manner. "No way, I figured it out! You really like him! But the real question is...are you in love with him?"

Kanae shows a closed fist to the male, breaking into a steaming hot sweat, fueled by anger. "UGH! YOU BETTER GET YOUR ASS INTO THE RESTROOM, OR I SWEAR TO GOD, I'M GONNA-!" Seidou raises his hands up, as he turns around and heads into the said room. "I'm sorry! I'll get to it, I'll get to it! I just wanted to get some payback!"

Kanae scoffs to himself once the male is gone. "Borg...!" The male stated with malice. Sighing softly, he quietly thinks to himself. 'It seems he's adjusting pretty well here...still though, he should learn to keep himself behind me. But I guess it's alright, for now...'

Kanae looks out into the window, seeing the sunlight dance along the glass. He smiles softly to himself, taking a seat over to the window. Placing a hand under his chin, he chuckled lightly. 'Master Shuu...would you enjoy the flowers I am to care for and watch over...? Am I allowed to be by your side? Am I allowed to...follow you?'
