Chapter One hundred and eight - Evidence

Seidou sat up peacefully, only wearing his white dress shirt. Looking down at his resting beauty. She grumbles, jumping back as she witnesses a pair of eyes staring at her with complete focus. She then laughs softly, laying back down. "Seidou, you startled me~!" "I'm sorry, you were just so peaceful in your  sleep. It makes me jealous in a way."

Karren raised her head up, kissing the male softly, laying back down yet again. "I could say the same about you... Seeing you sleep soundly had been so satisfying, for some reason." Seidou sat at the edge of the bed, and Karren sits up, scooting to him. "Seidou, about that fantasy, wearing your shirt~..." "Come on Karren, you can get dressed within your own clothes!" "But that's no fun~..." Seidou scoffed lightly, taking off his shirt. "Alright, alright..."

Karren snickered, wrapping it around herself, and Seidou raised an eyebrow. "I don't remember putting on that shirt last night..." "Oh, I did! I thought you would've liked waking up like that, because that's so you." Seidou nuzzled his nose onto hers. "Yeah, that's me. Thank you..."

The female leapt onto his back playfully, giggling with great affection. "Still, you were amazing last night, you did good... I'm so proud of you..." She warmly recalls as she rested her head onto his shoulder. "I must say, you had so much stamina. I'm impressed, were you always like that?" Seidou scoffed, raising his hand up. "Well, sort of. You see, back when I was training to becoming a ghoul investigator, I really had to consider what I needed as such... I decided to sharpen my skills on the ukaku quinque." Karren scoffed. "Ukaku, even then?" Seidou rolled his eyes, bouncing his head to the sides. "Yeah yeah, I liked keeping my distance, even when 'acting tough'."

Seidou turned his body towards her, holding her hand. "We eventually started to learn about kagune typing and the advantages vs disadvantages that came with it. After that, I just...decided to work more on it. It wasn't just the running I discovered for this growth, that's when yoga came along... I was embarrassed about it, as you would probably guess why." 

Karren kisses the male softly. "Well, now I think yoga can be hot in a guy." "Emphasis on 'now', and 'can be'." Karren sighed. "No nitpicking, it's better than nothing." Seidou sighed, giving in to the kissing. 

"Seidou, come on~... Right now~?" "What?! No, I-I-! Eh hem..." Karren stood up, getting her clothes on, removing Seidou's shirt and returning it to the humbled male. 

"Still, you really thought ahead. Though did you ever get the chance to catch up to an ukaku ghoul?" Seidou wore a sour expression, and that seemed to have been enough for Karren. "Right, enough on that. Gee, why would someone like you even join CCG? If a softy like you couldn't even bring yourself to harm a ghoul, than I, by all means, would like to know. Then again, maybe you just wanted to prove something, and to impress some girls-!" "My mother... She um... A neighbor of ours was killed by a ghoul, and my mom feared for the safety of us and herself. So as a kid, I-I wanted to be her own personal bodyguard, in a sense..."

Karren paused, slightly covering her mouth. "Oh my goodness, forgive me... I didn't know, that must have been terrifying for your mother." "Yeah, even at that age I could tell. I was like about ten or twelve then." Seidou sighed, crossing his arms.

"Still, here I am after all of it, I look around..." Seidou looks around himself. "And I wonder, what in the world it even adds up to..." Karren nods softly. "Yeah, I think I get that, I know what you mean. I never thought as a small child, that I'd ever lose my virginity to a human, more or less." "Karren, you know that's not comparable!" Karren laughed softly, before getting serious. "Yeah, I know. But still, there have been a lot of times where I questioned how I even managed to get here myself. If I was alone, how did I get from point A to point G or M, how it'll change later on... Scheisse, it's so complicated." Seidou wore a saddened expression. "Do you still think about them, your family?" Karren scoffs. "Seidou, you know I do..."
