With Qrow and Hana off on their Honeymoon, Evelyn stayed back in Japan, having to entertain herself while there. After quickly taking a shower, then getting dressed and making herself breakfast, before stretching out on the couch and texting Royal.

"Heyo Royal, where you at?" Evelyn asked, making herself comfortable.

"Oh hey, Ev. Chilling at the cash register this morning, not a whole lot of business. So I'm just chilling, why?" Royal asked.

"Just curious, not much better to do. Want me to drop by?" Evelyn replied.

"Hell yeah! Come on by, I work at the patisserie, maybe Maple can get you some tea or something, give me something to actually do." Royal said.

"Wait you work at La Soleil? You should've told me, I'd have stopped by and gotten breakfast!" Evelyn said, slightly surprised.

"I'll be there in a few!" Evelyn texted back, tucking her phone in her jacket pocket and grabbing her keys, then heading down to her 1969 Camaro Yenko, hopping in and driving to the Patisserie.

She pulled into the parking lot nearby and parked her car. When she opened the door, the small bell attached jingled and she was greeted by several of the catgirls. Royal looked up from the counter, where he looked very bored and smiled softly.

"Hey, Ev. What's up?" He asked as Evelyn came over, taking a seat.

"Not much. Was home alone so I had nothing better to do." Evelyn replied with a soft smile, her tail swishing casually.

Royal paused for a few only slightly awkward moments before looking up at her magnificently fluffy ears, a thought coming to mind.

"Do you mind if I pet you...?" Royal asked, smiling softly.

"Sure, go right ahead." Evelyn replied, also smiling a bit as Royal reached over and started gently scratching her ears.

Chocola gasped "Coconut-chan! Royal is petting a stranger!"

"Chocola, she's not a stranger, that's Evelyn. From the wedding we went to... Don't scare poor Coconut." Maple said, rolling her eyes.

"Ooops! Chocola is sorry..." Chocola replied, going back about her business.

Royal continued to gently scratch Evelyn's ears for another moment, then leaned back in the nice chair she pulled up near the counter, ordering some tea, which Royal handed to her.

"Sooo... Tell me about yourself." Royal said, breaking the silence once more.

"Sure, where would you like me to start?" Evelyn replied, happy to satisfy his curiosity.

"How about starting from you were born... Er, made... Maybe some background information about you and Qrow, like, how you came to be?" Royal asked.

"Ah, alright. So, when Qrow and I were first created, we had been made as part of an experiment, back in the 80's." Evelyn said.

"It was an experiment by the government to test the potential capabilities of specifically genetically engineered Humanoid Cats, and whether or not they could have practical application for creating better soldiers for the military, as our genetics, being almost entirely artificial, were easier for them to work with than the human genome, much of which they still didn't fully understand..."

"We as a species also grow much more rapidly, reaching adulthood in on year, as you know, which also helped in theory to expedite the creation of soldiers."

"So, after some fiddling around with the mixing of breeds to produce the desired outcome, they produced a Humanoid cat that would be taller, tougher, and stronger than normal."

"But there was one small issue. There were some unexpected occurrences when the zygote they created split off on its own in a way it very much was not supposed to, which somehow converted the original zygote into a male, and spit out another zygote which was female."

"I'm sure you can guess, the original is my brother, Qrow, and the female, well she's sitting right here in front of you." She continued with a wink.

"Surprised, but still well within the clear to continue the experiment, the zygotes were placed within a surrogate mother who had signed on to effectively function as a natural incubator, as with how most Humanoid Cats are created."

"After being born, cleaned up, documented, most of the normal baby process, minus being named, as we Humanoid cats choose our own names at three months old, we were given to Hana's family, who had signed up to help raise us to adulthood and take care of us until the government deemed us ready for service, which took around two years."

"One day, with plenty of advance notification, a man working for the government came along and took us off with them to do our Basic Training and all that, boring stuff. However, as you know, Female Humanoid cats, cough me cough, have this monthly complication."

"Instead of menstruating the way human women do, we get unimaginably horny, and some get quite sexually frustrated if our heat isn't dealt with... I'm sure you can see where this may be going..."

"As for Qrow, he doesn't go into heat because he's a male, but he can definitely smell it and that smell serves to let males, much like cats, know that there's a very ready female in the area, and that caused... issues... for him too. Basically they prescribed him some sort of thing to keep him from having to respond to the pheromones." She said, continuing her story.

"But when it came to me the government and the higher ups basically went 'Well shit that's a problem... Especially since she's in a barracks full of also very strong young men... WAIT. I know how we can make this work.' and so, much to the jealousy of the other men in the barracks, they allowed me to pair with this one nice young soldier I met to... Assist in handling my monthly predicament... As they put it. And it was wonderful."

"At the same time, Qrow was split off into some unit that dealt with international terrorism where he became one of their main breachers for a while, or something, for like two or four years, I think."

"Meanwhile I got to know the handsome soldier who they paired me with quite well... Until... Well were both out on an op, with me as the designated sniper."

"So one day we're sent out for a mission in this area, given all our positions, with me stationed up on a hill, among the brush and stuff, keeping my ears out for anything that might sneak up on me, keeping my tail down, and watching over everything."

"Everything was fine, for a while, until I spotted an enemy sniper, who, unfortunately, had also spotted me, so I had to move back a bit to keep from being shot. In that time..." Evelyn paused for a long moment, looking a little upset at the memory.

"The enemy sniper got ready to fire shots at the squad, battalion, whatever, I can't really remember... But as I quickly grabbed my rifle to try and eliminate the enemy, I fired... And I missed... The soldier they had paired me up with dropped to the ground as the enemy had shot him in the head... I picked up my rifle... Lined up my sights once more, and took the enemy's head off... But at that point it may as well have been too late..." She said, tearing up.

"T-that was the first... And I swore to myself, last, shot I would ever miss in my entire career. Spent all my time from then on, mastering marksmanship... Haven't missed a shot... Not once, ever since..." Evelyn added somberly.

"Damn, that sounds rough..." Royal replied, unsure what to say.

Evelyn sniffled a little bit, but continued the story. "So after that incident, I did everything I could to be the best marksman I possibly could be. Meanwhile after the two or four years, Qrow got reassigned or something, joining back with our company, assigned a light machine gun. They gave him that, since he was the strongest out of all of the soldiers in the company it didn't weigh him down as much as it did the other soldiers, and he was really damn good with it too."

"The two of us served together for the next several years, roughly maybe 14 years of service, before once again being assigned a different task. As they were finishing up the experiment, Qrow and I were easily some of the best in our company, but they saw a lot of the normal soldiers were falling behind, so they switched us over to Op-For, and gave us giant boxes of these paint sim rounds and map of hidden tunnels and perching spots all around the base, and told us to give the infantry hell. So for the last four years before our retirement, making a total 18 years of service, that's what we did." Evelyn said with a giggle.

"You're a monster." Royal said jokingly.

"Once we left, we got all our medals and our ribbons for our service, and we returned home, sent to live with Hana once again, to adjust to civilian life. And during this time, he really latched onto Hana, the two of them cared about each other and bonded quite deeply. And you know how well that turned out, as they're happily married and off on their honeymoon." Evelyn continued.

"After all the training though, Qrow was left with quite the violent tendencies if someone wasn't careful, and it took me a bit to adapt back to normal life too. Qrow's mostly fine now, but I can't imagine what he'd do if something happened to Hana..." Evelyn said, mostly finishing up her giant speech, which several customers had paused what they were doing to listen in on, a few of which offered her condolences for her loss.

"If you want specific stories, I suppose they'll have to come later, however, I do have quite a few." Evelyn finished with a smile, enjoying the tea that was brought to her, which had cooled off nicely.

"Suppose you want mine now. I grew up in the shit hole of the universe, Olympic city. The downtown and suburbs were nice but where I lived was like the hood, so as you would imagine I didn't go outside much and when I did it was always during the day." Royal started his own story.

"I don't remember much of my childhood, but my mother was very loving and caring. My dad was too, well, until my mother passed away... She passed away from drug overdose, but I was too young at the time to understand what that meant. She died when I was thirteen, and from the time I was thirteen, to the time I was seventeen, my asshole father abused me every day. Love and affection became foreign to me and all I knew was pain and suffering. I stayed away from home a lot in my later years which had me in the streets a lot, now, I didn't do anything too bad or nothing, stole some candy bars, about it really." Royal replied

"Well one day I got brought back home by a cop and as a punishment my asshole father busted a beer bottle over my head. He thought the cop had left, but the cop heard the shatter and came running back, said he found me unconscious on the ground and a busted bottle in my dads hand. Dad was arrested and charged with child abuse and went to prison for six years. I ended up with my grandmother and she had gotten me a 1997 Honda Civic Type R as a birthday gift. It was at this point I learned about Olympic city's street racing scene and the rest is history. I kept racing and never looked back." Royal said.

"Speaking of racing, the shop's about ready to close up, want to get some practice in with the rest of us?" Kashou asked.

"Hell yeah, sign me up!" Evelyn said with a smile, heading over to her car as Kashou, Royal, and the Catgirls locked up the Patisserie.
