It was a quiet day and we were out for a walk when we stopped for a rest on a bench. Not many people were around when I heard a rustle in the bushes. I turned my ears toward the sound, I heard another rustle in the bushes and pulled Chocola and Vanilla behind me as I blocked the swing of a large household kitchen knife with my right forearm. It shredded my trench coat sleeve and left the wrappings tattered. "My owner gave me this trench coat!!" I shouted at him shoving him back. "That should have cut your arm open!" The attacker said. "Yeah well, I'm tougher than your average person..." I said ominously with an evil grin, tearing off the wrappings on my arm to reveal my metal forearm. The assailant stared in awe as I turned a small crank and three long wicked sharp blades protruded from in between my fingers on the right side. "I always wondered why his right hand was always cold..." Vanilla mumbled. I dashed forward taking a swipe at the man. I missed, a few more inches and the man's arm would have been filleted. I turned the knob again and the blades swung back into my arm and I raised my fists in a defensive position. The attacker had dropped his knife dodging my attack so he was unarmed too. I matched his swings blow for blow shattering his arm in the process. I turned the knob again popping the blades back out and swung at his chest. "Thus you shall meet the same fate as all others who have attempted to murder my family," I said with a glare down at the man as he was shredded. I cleaned the blood off of the blades and retracted them. I turned back to everyone and hugged Vanilla. "I never knew you had a metal arm. It's cool, but weird at the same time." Kashou said as Vanilla was examining my arm. "It's very interesting," Vanilla said quietly. I pulled out a few tools and checked over my arm. I put the tools back in my trench coat and we stopped by a store and I bought a new trench coat. I paid for it and took the random assortment of stuff. Tools, a few throwing knives, some catmint, among other things. "I might need to bring Vanilla some of that sometime." I quietly chuckled to myself, sticking it in the pockets of my new trench coat. It was decently larger than my last one and had a few more pockets. Vanilla looked really excited as I walked out. "Though I'll miss my old one I'm glad to have a new one. That one was a little bit too small." I said. But if Kashou didn't mind a torn-off sleeve it would be the perfect size for him. Vanilla came up and hugged me. I hefted her up and hugged her back then shifted her onto my shoulder. "Chocola too!" Chocola said excitedly. I picked her up and put her up on my other shoulder. We walked home without anything too interesting happening. The next day all the other catgirls came over to begin work. When I let them in they asked about my arm. "I always wondered why you had those bandages," said Coconut. Cinnamon mumbled something about how I got my metal arm and started drooling. I pulled out a handkerchief and wiped her face off and then gently scratched her head as I stuck the handkerchief back in a pocket, sitting back down in my chair. The rest of the day went on uneventfully.
