Vanilla and I were going on a casual stroll around town when a woman ran to me. "Please, take this child, I don't have time to explain!" She said, looking around cautiously, acting like a scared bunny. I carefully took the child and handed it to Vanilla for a moment. "Thank you! Please take care of her!" She said before running off. A man ran up to me, looking for the woman. "Hold up, I need some answers before I tell you where she went," I said, pinning him to the wall. "First, why are you chasing her?" I asked him. "Why should I tell you!" He said. "How about this; I have several guns on me and I've got you pinned to this wall by your neck," I said, squeezing his neck. "Okay! okay!" He said. I loosened my grip and he coughed. "She owes my employer some money, she couldn't cough it up, so we're after her kid," He said. "How much?" I asked. "I don't know, we weren't given a full military grade mission briefing, he told us this woman owes him some money, if we bring her the child we get a split and showed us her picture and told us her name, other than that, I have no idea," He said. He noticed the child Vanilla was currently holding. "Give me the child!" He said. "Hell no," I replied. "I'll give you my split of the money!" He said. "I'm a bodyguard, not a mercenary, I have morals, not just greed. I'm NOT handing over the child," I said. I noticed someone sneaking up behind Vanilla, seeming to want to grab the child while my attention was focused toward the guy I had pinned to the wall. Vanilla turned her ears toward the person, aware of their presence. She hopped out of the way as he lunged at her and I shot him in the knee. He cursed loudly and the child started crying. Vanilla tried to calm the child while I turned my attention to the guy I was currently interrogating. I held my revolver to his leg. "Please! Don't shoot!" He said to me. I noticed a small note attached to the blanket the baby was currently swaddled in. It read: "Sorry I couldn't explain, I owe some bad people a hefty sum of money and now they're after me and my child, do whatever is necessary to keep this child safe from them, her name is Amaya," I glared at the guy. "It would seem you work for some very unreputable people," I said. I held my gun to the side of his head. He was trembling now. I quickly pointed the gun in the air next to his ear and pulled the trigger in one swift motion. BANG! The man collapsed, his skin was ghost white. "Get out of here," I said, giving him a nudge with my foot. He grabbed his accomplice and ran like hell. Vanilla seemed to have succeeded in calming the child and handed her back to me. I gently pulled the blanket down where it was acting as a hood, uncovering the baby's head. To my surprise, it was not a human child but a humanoid cat, only but a few weeks old. Large orange cat ears popped upward and the baby giggled. I smiled and gently rubbed her head. She purred softly and Vanilla and I took decided to take her home. Vanilla and I returned to the shop and walked upstairs. I gently stroked Amaya's head and she giggled again. Chocola came over to investigate the giggling. "Aww! So cute!" Chocola said, gently rubbing Amaya's head. She fell asleep and I pulled out Lemon's crib and reassembled it, gently setting Amaya down in it. I heard a knock downstairs so I went to check who it was. There was a package sitting right outside the door with my name on it. I took it upstairs and opened it, inside were two black leather jackets and a small piece of paper with the words "From Karol," written on it. On the back of the jackets were the Rogue Speed logo and the larger one had my name on it, just below the Rogue Speed logo and the smaller one was the same and had Coconut's name on it. Coconut and Raven were cuddling with Royal in his room while they were watching something together on his TV. I pulled on mine and gave Coconut hers. I sat back down in the living room and pulled out my phone. I texted Karol. "Thanks for the jacket, Coconut really seems to like hers as well," I wrote. "No problem," Karol replied. I stuck my phone in one of the pockets of my new jacket and stretched. It didn't even have a fraction as many pockets as my trench coat did, but they were much larger. There were five pockets, two button pockets on the front, one on each side of the jacket's zipper, two zipper pockets on top of the button pockets with the zipper on the leftmost side of the left pockets and the rightmost side of the right pocket, and finally, a large pocket on the left side of the inside of the jacket, so it was decently well concealed. (The placement of the pockets are from Qrow's perspective while he is wearing the jacket, just for clarification.) I grabbed my revolver and tucked it in the pocket on the inside of my new leather jacket. Vanilla walked into the living room and nuzzled up against my chest. I made dinner and went to bed with Vanilla, but I couldn't sleep. Amaya woke up and giggled softly. I carefully slid out of bed and bolted my leg back on, walking over to Amaya. I gently rubbed Amaya's head until she fell asleep again. I bolted my arm on and swaddled her up in her blanket and set Amaya on the bed. I quickly disassembled the crib and put it in a medium sized box. I grabbed one of my pillows and set it in the box and set Amaya in the box so she was laying comfortably on the pillow. I picked up the box and quietly snuck out of the house, grabbing my lever action rifle on the way out, along with my new leather jacket, not caring enough to grab a shirt. I slid my rifle in the holster on my motorcycle and put the box and Amaya in my lap, holding her in place with one hand, making sure she stayed asleep. I was halfway to the Minaduki household when someone stood in the road in front of me. "Move out of the way," I said to them. "No, you have something I want and I'm not moving 'till I get it. I think you know what I'm looking for," The person replied. "Another goon eh?" I said. "No, I'm the guy who sent the goons, I guess I should've hired someone bigger," He said. Vanilla ran up to us. "Thank god you're okay. I woke up and you were gone," Vanilla said. I noticed she was holding the shop's 9mm. She stuck the gun into the muff I made her. "Hand me the child!" The guy in front of me said. "Hell no," I replied. He sprinted toward Vanilla and wrapped an arm around her waist, pressing a knife to her throat. "Give me the child or I shall take her instead," The man said. "Don't do it!" Vanilla said. "Fine. Take the child and give me my wife back, then never return," I said, handing him Amaya, who was still sleeping. "I'm a man of my word," He said as he let go of Vanilla. "Why did you give her to that guy? You know what he'll do!" Vanilla said after she walked back over to me. "Be seeing you," He said as he turned and began walking away. I winked to Vanilla and snuck up behind the guy. I put one hand over his mouth as the blade extended out of my mechanical arm. I pressed the blade to his throat. "Checkmate." I said, slitting his throat. I caught Amaya and handed her to Vanilla for the moment. "Karma is a fickle mistress, isn't she?" I said. The man was still alive but would die soon enough. I cleaned the blood off the blade and retracted it back into my arm. The man tried to speak but just caused himself to bleed a bit more. He clutched his throat as he glared at me one final time and then died. Some police officers and a hearse came and cleaned him up and Vanilla hopped on the motorcycle with me. Vanilla decided to carry Amaya while we drove to the Minaduki household. I walked in the front door with Vanilla and walked into Cinnamon's room. I remembered how she always thought about having a child. I quietly headed into her room and assembled the crib, setting Amaya in it. I left Cinnamon a letter, it read: "Cinnamon, I remembered how you would always think about having a child, well here you go, I also left you some books on how to raise her, and you can likely ask Shigure if you ever need help. Her name is Amaya. P.S. I also left you some other supplies in the box, take good care of her. I always thought you would make a great mom someday." Vanilla and I went back home and went to sleep.
