Chapter 41

(This. Is the chapter where everything goes wrong.)

We were working in the shop when someone walked over to me and Royal. He punched me and I was knocked unconscious. I woke up with Royal in the shop with my hands bound with rope, it was if no-one had been there. Raven, Lemon, Vanilla, Chocola, Azuki, Coconut, Cinnamon, and Maple's bells were all lying on the ground. I snapped the rope around my wrists and picked up everyone's bells. (Man this chapter feels like it'd make a great point and click game.) I found a note. it read: "You made some bad enemies, we have your family." I was infuriated. I hung my trench coat on a hook and checked my phone. I smirked. "They left everyone's bells behind, but they didn't bother to remove Raven or Vanilla's rings. It could be a trap, but I'm willing to risk anything to save my family." I said. I grabbed one of my .50 Derringers and my sword. I strapped my sword across my waist and stuck my Derringer in my holster and some ammunition in my jeans pocket. "Hey, Royal, can you call one of your friends to see if they're willing to help out?" I asked. "Sure." He said. Ox drove up and I handed him my .44 Magnum from my glove box. I grabbed my .45 and tossed it to Royal.  I stepped outside and shapeshifted into a giant crow and gestured for them to hold on. I cawed and spread my wing. I started flying and I flew to where the tracker said they were. I saw some gang members gathered outside of a fenced building. I cawed and slowly flew down to the front gate. Royal and Ox shot them and I shapeshifted back into my normal form. I loaded my derringer and cocked it. "Cover your ears," I said. They covered their ears and I pulled the trigger. I reloaded and cocked the gun again. I pulled out my phone. "They're in the third room from the right, top floor," I said. "Come on then, let's go," Royal said. I was able to use the windowsills to climb up and everyone followed me. One of the gang members was standing in an open window. "Look out below," I whispered. I grabbed his shirt and yanked him out of the window and watched as he fell to the pavement below, landing and creating a large puddle of blood beneath him. Another guy ran up to the window and I yanked him out to his death as well. I pulled myself in the window and shot a third. I saw everyone in the room, Shigure was huddled up against Kashou, who was currently unconscious. I checked him out. "Those bastards... They poisoned him. Let's hope I got here fast enough." I said. "No... He can't die..." Shigure said, crying. I pulled out the antidote and injected him with it. He gasped and coughed and sat up. Shigure buried her face into his chest. I cut the restraints binding everyone. Royal and Ox pulled themselves in the window. Royal walked up to Coconut and hugged her, Ox went over and hugged Maple and I hugged Vanilla, Lemon, and Raven. Someone broke into the room. "We can have our lovey-dovey reunion after. Right now we need to finish beating these guys to a pulp. I shapeshifted into a were-panther. I roared and mauled the attacker. He sprayed blood everywhere, and several more gang members ran up the stairs. I mauled them one by one. I shapeshifted back into my normal form. "Ey boss!" I called down the stairs. "WHAT!!!!" I heard a loud booming voice shout back. Royal, Ox, and I all walked down the stairs, weapons drawn. "You messed up," I said. I pressed the barrel of my gun to his forehead. "Pray to whatever higher power you believe in," I said. I waited until he finished praying, and pulled the trigger, and his head was no more. I headed back up to where everyone else was, and I hugged Vanilla, Raven, and Lemon. We all headed back home and I cleaned the blood off of myself. After my shower, I headed outside with Royal. "Victory cigar?" I asked. I handed him a cigar. I lit mine and we chatted for a while. I finished my cigar and headed back inside. I made dinner and after dinner, I went to cuddle with Vanilla and the next day I turned on the news. "Crime rates have gone down tenfold, after infamous gang leader Don Capone was found dead, along with about 50 other dead gang members mauled to death. Vanilla nuzzled up against me, and I gently rubbed her head. Royal and Coconut, Ox and Maple, and Kashou and Chocola all sat down with us. I kissed Vanilla, and Royal gently stroked Coconut's head. Vanilla and I went to our room and Vanilla and I cuddled for a while and I fell asleep with Vanilla at my side.
