Chapter 16

I was sitting in the corner of the shop casually reading a book when I noticed someone starting to draw a gun. I started drawing my revolver as he caught Cinnamon and ordered a stick-up. "You don't want to do that," I said pointing my revolver at him. He continued to threaten us as I walked forward with my gun pointed at him. I was carefully examining his gun, if he pulled the trigger it wouldn't fire. I was examining the odds and they seemed to be on my side. I reached him as he was about to pull the trigger. "Drop the gun. You aren't going to win this one no matter what happens." I said calmly. "I'll do it!" he shouted. "No you won't. You have 5 seconds to drop the gun." I told him, pulling back the hammer. It clicked into place. He pulled the trigger. Click. Just as I suspected it didn't fire. Cinnamon was terrified, "You have two options. Drop the gun, or hope you can unjam it faster than I can pull the trigger." I said. He tried to trip me. I dodged it and he started to unjam the gun. "Wrong choice." I said, walking up to him. I pulled the trigger and it was over. Cinnamon and Vanilla rushed over to me and hugged me as I gently petted them. They started purring and I hugged them tighter. Kashou tapped on my shoulder "Oh yeah. Back to work, we can cuddle later." I said. I sat back down and went back to reading as everything went back to normal. After the shop closed I set my book off to the side and they jumped into my lap and I continued to pet them. I kissed Vanilla and Cinnamon started daydreaming as she pushed her head into my hand and I gently scratched her head. Cinnamon kissed me too. Vanilla noticed and smiled. "It seems Cinnamon likes Qrow too." she smiled, and I went upstairs with Vanilla and she curled up on top of me and Cinnamon joined in too and I scratched their heads and they started purring happily and we all fell asleep. Cinnamon must've been drooling while she was asleep because my shirt was soaked when I woke up. I gently pushed them off of me and covered them up with my trench coat as I started cooking breakfast. Cinnamon woke up very sleepily and walked over to me and hugged me and then fell asleep again. I set her down in a chair and and she woke back up. Vanilla woke up too and sat next to her. "I didn't know you could cook." Cinnamon said. "I can do a great many things." I said. She blushed and started daydreaming as I stroked her head. "Don't forget about me." Vanilla said. "I won't forget about you." I said kissing Vanilla as I finished making breakfast. Kashou and Chocola woke up and came into the kitchen too. "Eat as much as you like, I made extra." I said as I sat down too and ate breakfast. Today the shop was closed so we went out to restock supplies and then maybe just go for a walk. We got our supplies without incident but as per usual. "God damn. Is no-one going to let us enjoy a leisurely stroll?" I said as someone punched me in the back of the head. "Wow thieves have been dumb enough to attack us but none have been dumb enough to do so unarmed." I said as I turned around and raised my fists. He punched me in the face again. I ducked under the next punch and hit him square in the nose. His nose made a disgusting cracking sound as it broke. That only seemed to make him angry though as I popped out the blades and swung at him. I gashed his side but I didn't cut him to ribbons just yet, but he was going to bleed out soon unless he got patched up. "You have three options. Run away, die, or surrender." I said, pinning him down. "I think I'll surrender. I don't want to die just yet." He said. "Good choice." I said, pulling out some gauze and antibacterial spray to patch him up with while Kashou called the police. I quickly patched him up and the police took him away. We continued our walk and got home safely. When we got home I was about to take a nap when I realized how much I sleep so I sat down and turned on the TV and had  Cinnamon and Vanilla sit down with me. Since Cinnamon wasn't used to so much excitement she fell asleep next to me while Vanilla curled up in my lap and we watched TV.
