I was sitting in the living room early in the morning, contemplating what to do with the several hours before everyone else woke up. I went to a crafts store and bought a few dozen yards of light blue denim and black denim, grabbing some sturdy thread as well. I pulled out some sturdy scissors and began cutting the denim to the proper sizes, wanting to make Chocola and Vanilla denim jackets. I quickly found the fur trader person I had met a few years ago and bought two more white fox pelts. I brought them back and cut off the tails, putting the rest of the pelts with my other sewing materials, grabbing the white fox tails I had from back when I made Vanilla the muff. I finished sewing together a light blue denim jacket for Vanilla and a black one for Chocola. I took one of the two newer tails and put it on the collar of the jacket and stitched it in place, doing the same for the black denim jacket. I grabbed the two other older fox tails and cut them in half, wrapping them around the ends of the sleeves and sewing them into place as well. I held up the jackets and examined them with a satisfied expression. I folded them up and set them off to the side. I checked the time and went to make breakfast for everyone. Kashou and everyone woke up early and Kashou started making a cake as I remembered today was Chocola and Vanilla's birthday. I smiled and helped decorate the cake, speeding up the process quite a bit. Kashou and I finished up what we were doing as Chocola and Vanilla woke up and walked into the kitchen. "Happy birthday you two," I said, hugging them both. Chocola and Vanilla both sat down and had some of the cake as everyone else handed them their gifts. I handed them the denim jackets, the light blue one to Vanilla, and the black one to Chocola. They smiled and thanked me, putting them on. A few hours later it was noon and I gestured for Chocola and Vanilla to follow me. We hopped on my motorcycle and with a bit of effort, I was able to fit both Chocola and Vanilla on the motorcycle with me. I drove them to a shop that sold fish and they picked out a large tuna. I purchased it and put it in a cooler full of ice which I put in the trailer for my motorcycle. I pulled my bandana over my mouth and nose when I felt a hand on my shoulder. I turned around to face whoever it was and ended up face to face with a gang. The leader was a male kitsune with fire-orange hair, ears, and tail fur, with gold eyes. Two other males stood at the ready, one with a katana, the other armed with a bat. The two guys were also kitsunes, but they both had black hair, ears, and tail fur, both with green eyes, all three of them wearing the same oversized white t-shirt and worn jeans with bright orange bandanas around their necks. "You lot better not want to start something," I said. I held a hand straight out and an aluminum baseball bat materialized in my hand. "Get him," The leader said. I cracked the skull of the one with the katana and dodged a swing from the one carrying a wooden baseball bat. I swung at his ribs and heard them snap as he was sent flying backward a short distance. A fourth I must've not noticed grabbed hold of me and yanked off my bandana, holding a knife to my throat. "You two girls, come with me and I won't have James slit his throat," The leader said. "Don't do it," I whispered. "Kill him," The leader said. "Gotcha Kenta," James replied, slitting my throat. He dropped me and I spat a ton of blood onto the ground. I clutched my throat and focused. Chocola and Vanilla seemed to panic. Kenta, the leader of the gang walked over to Chocola and Vanilla and looped an arm around Vanilla. "Let go of me!" Vanilla said. James walked over to Kenta and grabbed hold of Chocola. I finished closing up the giant gash in my throat and coughed up some more blood, then wiped off my face and pulled my bandana back up over my mouth and nose. I pushed myself up and grabbed the katana from the one I killed. I slowly crept up behind James and ran him through. I pulled the katana back out of him as he collapsed to the ground, dead. I picked up my metal baseball bat and sent it spinning toward Kenta's head and it connected squarely with his skull, splitting his skull. Someone else had called the police and the gangsters were hauled off to a hospital. I gently stroked Chocola and Vanilla's heads and grabbed the katana, putting it in the motorcycle trailer with the tuna. Chocola and Vanilla hopped on my motorcycle with me and we went home. I butchered the tuna for Chocola and Vanilla and gave them some, then stuck the rest in the fridge. They happily nibbled on their tuna as I sat down on the couch, pulling my bandana back down around my neck. "You bought them... An entire tuna..." Kashou said, astonished. I grinned and put my new katana on the sword rack with my cutlass and my old sword. I sat back down and was hit with a wave of nausea. I quickly covered my mouth with one of my handkerchiefs as I spat out a lot of blood. Vanilla seemed worried as she walked up to my side. I went to a sink with Vanilla standing next to me, hugging me gently as I continued to spit out a mouthful of blood every 15-30 minutes and it continued for hours, as by the time I finally stopped spitting blood it was night time and I was feeling lightheaded. I grabbed my sword cane and leaned on it as Vanilla and Ikue made sure I wasn't going to fall over. I went to bed and Vanilla stayed by my side to make sure I would be okay. I fell asleep quickly and the next morning I woke up in agony with an intense pain in my throat and Vanilla helped me to a sink as I began to spit blood again. I was pondering what was causing this when I figured it out. "Vanilla, this isn't going to stop, my throat isn't entirely healed on the inside and I can't just stay by a sink for the next few days, get me a couple really absorbent towels," I said, my voice reduced to a raspy whisper. I handed Vanilla some money and she came back a few moments later with a couple white towels. "Here, these were the best I could find," Vanilla said. "Thank you," I replied. I lay down on the couch with a large cup of ice water beside me and held the towel over my mouth as I tried to relax. Vanilla cuddled up next to me, still wanting to help me, I wasn't going to complain.
(Vanilla's perspective)
Qrow fell asleep and I kept the towel held over his mouth, it seemed when he slept, rather than spitting blood in large amounts every now and then, it instead slowly came out of the corner of his mouth, almost as if he was drooling blood, it was kinda gross, to be honest, but I stayed by his side. Hana came over to the shop and walked over to me. "Is something wrong with Qrow?" Hana asked. "He's been spitting up blood, it's a long story. Don't worry, though, if he hasn't died yet then he certainly isn't going to," I said calmly. "Oh, okay," Hana said. "Can you please bring me the wrench on Qrow's nightstand?" I asked. Hana got it for me and I thanked her as she sat down on the floor next to the couch. I unbolted Qrow's mechanical arms and legs, then set them off to the side. "Thank you," Qrow mumbled, still sleeping. I wrapped my arms around his neck and gently nuzzled him as I purred softly.
