(This chapter's going to be a bit depressing. You have been warned.)

(Nightmare.)

Mr. and Mrs. Minaduki just normally sleeping. Mr. Minaduki wakes, clutching his chest, and dies.

(Qrow's perspective.)

I woke up in a cold sweat, while Vanilla was still sleeping soundly at my side. I carefully slid out of bed so that she didn't wake up. My heart was beating fast. "Was it an omen? A vision? Or perhaps paranoia?" I thought to myself as I strapped on my prosthetic leg, grabbed an energy drink and hit the ground running. I reached the Minaduki household and went inside. I found Mr. and Mrs. Minaduki's room, and carefully checked Mr. Minaduki. He was dead. I fell to my knees. My heart dropped. "Why?" I whispered. Mrs. Minaduki woke up, and was surprised to see me, of all people. "Oh when did you get here?" She asked. "He's... Dead..." I said quietly. "What?" She said. "He's dead..." I said again. She burst into tears. "He can't be dead." She said, sobbing. "He died in his sleep. His body is cold, no pulse, not breathing, and not moving." I said. I called a hearse, and they quietly took him away. I sent Kashou a text. It read; "You aren't going to want to hear this, but... Your father, he's dead, he died in his sleep of a heart attack. The hearse took him away this morning. I'm sorry..." I told Mrs. Minaduki to tell everyone, and give them my condolences. I headed back to the shop, walking slowly. I walked inside, and went upstairs. Vanilla, Chocola, and Kashou were all awake. Everyone was crying, I gave them all a reassuring hug. Chocola and Vanilla buried their faces into my chest. I rubbed their heads. "I know what it feels like..." I said. A few days later Mr. Minaduki's funeral was going to take place. I drove everyone to his funeral in my new car and stopped by a florists. "I'll take a bouquet of roses please." I said. "Oh hello. What color would you like?" The person behind the counter asked. "Black please." I said. "Oh... Right away then." they replied. I got the bouquet, and drove back to the funeral, setting the black roses in front of his gravestone. I held an umbrella for Vanilla and knelt down, holding my fedora in front of my chest. After a few minutes I drove everyone back to the shop, and we all just sat in the living room for a while. Vanilla, Raven, and Lemon all sat with me. I gently scratched Vanilla's head, trying to reassure her. "Thank you." Vanilla said, gently nuzzling up against me. It gave me a warm, fuzzy feeling in my chest. Chocola also cuddled up closer to Kashou, while everyone just relaxed in the living room. I gently moved Vanilla from my lap for a second, grabbing a soft drink. I sat back down and Vanilla curled up in my lap. I took a while to relax, and gently scratched her head. She fell asleep and I gently rubbed her back and she started purring.
