Chapter 99, Book 2. Mingling With Guests

After a lot of dancing with Hana, the Reception began to wind down, Qrow and Hana sitting together to mingle with the guests.

First up, Royal and Karol, who he already knew well, approached him with a manila folder, containing a copy of his contract, which he read over. The benefits were good. Complete health and life insurance coverage. That was good, seeing as with all the things that can go wrong, it's pretty much mandatory, pretty good pay and good retirement benefits. It'd definitely be worth signing. The fame might be a hassle, but he was pretty sure he already thrust himself into fame when he beat Royal by a tenth of a second... Something Royal had assured Karol would never happen again...

"Thanks. I'll be back with an answer for you in a week or two, once Hana and I are back from the honeymoon." Qrow said.

"... By the way, miss Karol?" Hana added.

Karol smiled. "Please, just Karol is fine." She replied.

"Yes, sorry. I wanted to ask where you had your jacket made, it's quite well made. Reminds me when Qrow used to wear this long black overcoat, back in the day. It's a shame it wore out, you looked pretty good in it..." Hana said, blushing a little as she looked up at Qrow.

Karol giggled softly. "I'm sure we could have one made for him, with the Rogue Speed logos and everything, if you'd like."

Qrow tried to hide a slightly ashamed grin as he gave a nod. "I guess, if it's what you want, honey." Qrow said, giving Hana a hug.

Once Royal finished his business with Qrow, Royal went off to talk with Evelyn for a bit, while Qrow and Hana met Aki.

He hadn't seen Aki just yet, but the name rang a bell... It almost hurt his head to try and remember why it was familiar... Until he saw her.

"I knew I was forgetting something..." Qrow said.

"Qrow... It's been a while, hasn't it?" Aki replied.

"Hol' up, you're telling me you know this guy?" Ox asked Aki, walking over after he heard the two of them talking.

"Yeah... It's hard to remember all the details, but I remember helping her out after her car fell off the cliff... When was that?" Qrow asked.

"That was probably around two years ago, I think... Somewhere around that." Aki said.
"But thanks to you I've been good. Came out of hiding and met back up with Ox, even got my old RX7 back." Aki said.

Qrow nodded, smiling softly to her. "It's good to know you're still doing well, and it's nice to see you again, Aki."

"Same to you. Though since you're new to the racing scene, I should introduce you some of the other members of Touge Union. Not everybody's here, but Ox here, and the short girl off over there sassing the hell out of Maple." Aki replied.

"Azuki, right? From the Patisserie?" Qrow said, looking over at the two.

"The best of the best, up there wit' Aki, and Ox, ya' bet!" Azuki called over to him.

"Azuki, you're a drifter, he's a drag racer, stay in ya' fuckin' lane." Royal replied sarcastically, smirking.

"Yea, yea, whatever." Azuki said, waving him off as Qrow chuckled softly.

"And then we got Coconut, who you met already, Maple, who served you at the Patisserie, Shigure-Chan over there taking like a thousand pictures and fawning over the idea of Chocola and Vanilla walking down the aisle with Kashou, who you know runs the Patisserie, and Cinnamon on the verge of drooling over there, cuddling with Maple. Cinnamon is a Supercar driver with Nitrocide, and always fantasizing about something or other." Aki said, giggling a bit.

"Anyway, as for Gold, he's with Grip Runners and his girl Himari is a supercar racer... And for Cross over there, I think Evelyn would like to introduce him herself." Aki said.

She stepped aside and went off to mingle with everybody else, while Evelyn brought Cross over to introduce him to Qrow and Hana.

"This is Cross, a federal cop, and up until some point a while ago, he was a member of the VRT. He had to retire from the VRT after being hospitalized by a car accident, but he made a full recovery. He also happened to save me from a rather unsavory figure one evening, roughly a year ago." Evelyn said with a smile.

"Yea, I remember that one. Bastard put up a pretty nasty fight, Taser barely even stopped him, had to actually rough his ass up before I got him into custody." Cross said.

Qrow smiled softly. "I appreciate you being there to keep her safe when I couldn't." Qrow said, giving Cross a pat on the back.

Cross nods. "Anytime, man."

Now that they had met just about everybody, it was starting to get late. Evelyn decided to head home with Royal, while Qrow gently scooped up his beautiful bride, carrying her to the limousine he had waiting outside to take them home, opening the door for her, then getting in with her, signaling the Limo driver to take them home.

Hana blushed sweetly as she snuggled up to him. "I love you so much..." Hana said, smiling sweetly to him.

He smiled softly to her as well, holding her tight in his arms as they headed home.
"I love you too." Qrow said lovingly.

After quite a while of driving, Qrow and Hana arrived at home, Qrow picking her up to carry her inside as she clung tightly to him, before setting her down gently upstairs, where they could change out of their wedding attire, each of them getting a shower and changing into their sleepwear, before climbing into bed together and cuddling up to each other lovingly, holding each other tightly.

Comfortable, and so very happy together, the two of them slept peacefully throughout the night, dreaming  happily of each other, their already inseparable bond further strengthened by their loving marriage.
