Nekopara fanfic

Chapter two.

(Note: the rest of this story continues from Qrow's perspective)

Now that I have gotten my new job, it is rather boring but it's all worth it when I know who I'm protecting, I thought to myself with a big smile as I half marched half paced around in the shop all night. Tomorrow morning the shop was closed and Kashou went out shopping for some more ingredients and food for them with Chocola and Vanilla, I tagged along (Because I can) and started talking with Chocola and Vanilla as I hefted them up onto my shoulders. "You're very strong~♪" Said Chocola. "I feel so tall!" Vanilla exclaimed raising her arms so her arms and body formed a Y shape. "I kinda have to be strong for this job and like Coconut, I am naturally pretty tall." I told them. They looked around in wonder at the new perspective they were seeing everything from, as at that height everything looks quite different. As we headed Into each shop I had to take them off my shoulders to go through the door but after I pulled them back up onto my shoulders as we talked. I grew to feel almost as if I were a part of the family, and with crime rates still increasing though at a slow pace I might as well be. So I will be here for a long time. After a while we got home and I took out a BEWARE OF CAT sign from somewhere in my trench coat then went upstairs took off my boots and trench coat with the bandoleer and lay down on the couch. "Chocola is kind of tired too." said Chocola "Me too." Vanilla replied, as Kashou lay down on the couch too. Chocola curled up on Kashou and as there wasn't enough space for her to lay on Kashou too she grabbed my trench coat and curled up on me and put it over her like a blanket. I started to pet Vanilla when the combined warmth of Vanilla and my trench coat over me was very comfortable and I fell asleep very quickly. at some point while I was asleep Vanilla woke up and got off me as when I woke up she wasn't curled up on me anymore. I got up, grabbed my boots and my bandoleer, pulled on my trench coat and went downstairs to guard with the BEWARE OF CAT sign hanging on the front door. It was as usual pretty boring, but also worthwhile for me to be guarding my new family. The next day I was feeling particularly energetic so I was able to stay up during the daytime. I sat in a chair in one corner of the bakery. Apparently Azuki never noticed me before because she came up to me asking why I was here. "I'm the new guard." I told her. "Then shouldn't you be guarding?" She said to me, visibly annoyed by my presence. "Nah I work the Night shift." I said, Azuki getting visibly annoyed with me. "Then go upstairs." she replied. "Nah, it's not like I'm in the way or anything anyway." I said. She seemed like she was at her wits end with me. She hissed at me and took a swing at me. 

(Because I felt like I needed some conflict or this would get boring.)

 I leaned out of the way not getting up from my chair, Azuki took another swing. I leaned out of the way again. Then I stood up. Azuki looked up in awe before I squeezed a pressure point and she passed out. "That didn't last long..." Said Kashou. "How long will she be out?" he asked. "Oh a couple hours at least." I said as I brought her upstairs and set her down on the couch. "So. Seeing as I knocked out one of your employees what do you need me to do?" I asked. "Do you have any experience making cakes?" he asked me. "Quite a bit actually." I replied "Okay then come back here with me and help me make some cakes." A while later Azuki woke up, put on her shoes and came back downstairs and continued working while I went upstairs to sleep until night to begin my shift.
