Royal stood off to the side with Karol, waiting for Qrow and Evelyn to arrive since they hadn't filled out the paperwork beforehand. The rumble of engines grew closer and closer, and Karol seemed astonished when the Camaro she saw, matte black with purple flames and a chrome blower, pulled up in front of them. The passenger's side gull wing door popped open and Qrow waved as Hana stepped out slowly.

"Hello... Royal, and Karol Monroe, right?" Hana asked, a little nervous.

"Yep. These are the papers you and Evelyn need to fill out. As for you, Hana" Royal said, as Karol whistled, looking over Qrow's car.

"I'll make sure to win for you, Hana." Qrow said, hugging her, then closing the passenger's side door and driving over to the racers' parking area with Evelyn, where they both parked.

Qrow sat on the hood of his car as the two of them filled out the necessary paperwork before the race, occasionally glancing up at the other racers and their cars as they pulled into the parking lot steadily. Around the time he finished the paperwork, a relatively tall Catgirl approached. She was a pretty cream-blonde with large ears and a fluffy tail. A Maine Coon... One he had seen before.

"Hello! You're Qrow, right? It's nice to meet you..." Coconut said.

"Mhm. You work at the patisserie, if I recall. The things they have there are wonderful." Qrow replied.

"Ehehe... I'm glad you like the shop... But... I came to ask if I could maybe... Look under the hood of your car..." Coconut said slightly sheepishly.

"I suppose so, let me pop it open." Qrow replied, getting off of his car to pop open the hood for her.

Coconut's eyes practically sparkled in amazement as she leaned over the front of his car, examining the parts inside.

"This is amazing! How long have you been working on it?" Coconut asked.

"I actually built it a few years ago, maybe four? I know it was a year or two before I went into the coma." Qrow replied.

"I heard a little bit about that from Karol, I'm sorry that you got hurt..." Coconut said somberly.

"Nah, don't worry about it. I'm more worried about Evelyn and Hana. I was literally asleep the whole time. Now that I'm awake again, it's actually turned out pretty well for me. I got to basically skip the whole withdrawal part of quitting smoking and all the other parts that make it really awful, I had a pretty good Physical Therapist so I'm back in just about perfect shape, and we got so much money from the lawsuit that Hana, Evelyn, and I are pretty much set, at least as far as our cozy little lifestyle goes. More money certainly wouldn't go amiss." Qrow said casually.

"You almost remind me of Kashou-sama... Always thinking of other people rather than yourself..." Coconut commented, smiling softly.

"Hey, Coconut, we're about to start calling racers, you should probably get over to your car and be ready for them to call you." Karol said to Coconut.

"Both of you too. I have high hopes." Karol added, referring to Qrow and Evelyn.

"We'll do our best to impress." Evelyn said with a smirk, to which Qrow nodded as the two of them got comfortable in their cars, waiting to be called.

They went gradually down a list of racers he'd never really heard of before, but when his name was called, Qrow's interest was piqued.

"For the next matchup, we got ma' girl Coconut, a tough one to crack for sure, and Qrow, the personification of that one guy in high school who wore the trench coat, you know the one I'm talking about." Royal said as the two of them pulled up to the drag strip.

Qrow lined up with Coconut, and the two of them did their burnouts, getting some good traction as the traffic light used for signaling turned on.

One.........

Two..............

Three................

GREEN!

The second the traffic light turned green, Qrow accelerated quickly, speeding down the drag strip as Coconut's 1965 Mustang ran a 7.21, while Qrow's Camaro ran a 6.87. To be expected, Qrow didn't want to pull out all the stops just yet...

"A pretty clear win for Qrow! Don't worry, babe, you taste just as good toasted!" Royal announced, causing many of the crowd members to laugh.

Qrow and Coconut both went back to the parking lot to wait for their next calls, meanwhile, Royal set down the mic and turned to Karol.

"That seemed pretty slow for how good you said his car was." Royal said.

"It was... I think he was holding back..." Karol replied, thinking.

"We should keep testing him, see how he does. If it goes well and he keeps winning, we can put ourselves up against him, try and push his car to its limits and see what it's really capable of?" Karol suggested.

"Aight, bet. Let's do it." Royal replied, announcing the next race.

"Ya mans did pretty good on the last run, and I think he might'a just caught himself some attention! Will he continue to perform, or will we catch this mans lackin? Let's find out! Next up, co-host, home girl, and pro racer Karol Monroe, up against our black feathered bird Qrow!!!" Royal announced.

"Wait, me? Now?" Karol sighed and rolled her eyes, smirking at Royal. "Well, can't say no now, can I?" She says, heading down from the platform to get to her Mustang, lining up with Qrow's Camaro on the drag strip, waiting for the traffic lights to tick down to green.

Qrow greeted Karol with a slight nod before focusing on the strip in front of him, doing his burnout to be ready. Karol was pretty fast, so he wasn't going to be able to hold back as much as he did with Coconut.

Meanwhile Hana, enjoying her comfy front row seat right behind the drag strip, watched with excitement when Qrow won against Coconut. While she was cheering, a man next to her, near her own age turned to her. "Want a drink?" He asked her.

"Oh, yes please, thank you." Hana replied with a smile.

The man brought her a beer, which Hana opened and made herself even more comfortable as she watches Karol and Qrow pull up to the drag strip for a race, doing their burnouts.
