Lemon seemed to be acting awkwardly around Chocola, idly following her around sometimes, among other things. I softly nudged Lemon. "Do you like Chocola?" I asked him. He turned slightly pink as he tried to deny it. He eventually gave in. "Yeah..." Lemon said. "Go talk to her," I said, gently nudging him. "Fine..." He said. He went and talked to Chocola and she kissed him. Chocola and Lemon cuddled on the couch together. I remembered I hadn't seen my brother in quite a while. I pulled out my phone and called his owner's phone number. "Oh... O-okay then... Bye..." I said, hanging up the phone. I was informed that my brother died a couple weeks ago. "I'll be right back..." I said as I headed out the door. I headed to the florist's shop. "Hello, what can I get you?" The person behind the counter asked. "A rose please, black, just one," I said. They brought me one and I handed them some money. I wandered through the cemetery for a while and found his headstone. I set the black rose down by the headstone as I knelt down. "I'm sorry I wasn't here the first time, my apologies, but I was not informed. I'm going to miss you..." I said, I stood up and left. I had a cold feeling around my scalp and the base of my tail. I noticed my hair turned into something similar to the purple flame from a while ago, but this time it was cold and light blue. I walked back to the shop and sat down on the couch. "What's wrong?" Vanilla asked. I told her what had happened. "Oh... Well, I know he may have meant a lot to you, but you need to cheer up," Vanilla said, giving me a kiss. I hugged her. "True, I can't exactly mope and do everything else I need to do," I said to Vanilla, cheering up slightly. The blue flames weren't quite as cold, but they were still there. After a while, I cheered up and the blue flames went away. Raven and I went for a drive in my RX7. While we were driving the car got nailed and Raven was knocked unconscious. I focused my blurred vision and noticed a shard of metal wedged in Raven's right shoulder. I called an ambulance and was patching up her other injuries when I noticed the giant shard of metal hadn't just lodged itself in her shoulder, it went through her shoulder entirely, taking her arm off. I slowed the bleeding and she was brought to the hospital. Halfway through them patching her up, she strangely woke up but didn't seem to be in pain. I gently turned her head toward me since I was sitting on her left side. I made sure to speak softly. "Trust me, you don't want to see what they're doing, I'm likely the toughest guy you know and even I find it slightly nauseating," I said. "What... What happened?" Raven asked. "My car got plowed by another car and... Let's just say you're a step closer to being like me," I said. "What do you mean?" She asked. "You'll see once they're done," I said, gently stroking her head. "Why can't I move?" Raven asked. "I can feel you stroking my head like this, but not anything else," Raven said. "If I were to try and explain it, you somehow woke up from the anesthetic and you have cognitive function, but luckily the rest of your nervous system is still asleep. We're almost done anyway, but tell us if it starts to hurt," One of the doctors said. "Okay," Raven replied. After another hour or so of me talking quietly with Raven, they finished what they were doing and left the room. After a couple minutes, she regained her ability to move and I brought her some food. "Thank you, I was feeling quite hungry," Raven said. After she finished eating she winced and put a hand on her shoulder. "Wait... Why can't I feel my arm?" Raven asked. "You remember when I mentioned you being another step closer to being like me?" I said, pulling off my jacket. She looked at my metal arm. "Oh... Please at least tell me you sued whoever hit the car," Raven said. I laughed quietly. "Of course I did, I now own about 95% of that guy's bank account," I told her. She laughed softly and I checked a clock. A nurse walked in the room. "Not that we're in any rush to get you out of here, but now she seems to be fine you can leave whenever you're ready, also you can keep the blanket, it's rather cold outside despite being spring," The nurse said, handing Raven her jeans. She was about to sit up when she realized she didn't have a top on. The nurse left the room and I pulled out a long strip of cloth wound around a small cardboard tube. I handed it to Raven and helped her wrap it around her chest and tied it in the back. I wrapped the blanket around Raven and used a safety pin to hold it in place. Luckily the engineer who had so generously helped me out before was living in an apartment building nearby. I called him up and told him my situation and that I had plenty of money if he could help me out. He agreed and we went to his apartment. After about an hour he came back out and handed Raven the finished product. I held it in place for her and then tightened the bolt. She thanked him and I asked him how much it would cost me. He told me a price. I handed him a bundle of cash. "Keep the change," I said with a snicker. I gently slid Raven into my lap and put my hands over hers. "Heh, I really am becoming more and more like you," Raven said with a smile. We headed to the car garage where they were fixing up my car. It looked good as new. "Nice job," I said, handing him the money. We drove back to the shop and headed upstairs. Royal walked up to us. "Where have you been? I was actually starting to worry about you," He said. "I'm fine, there were some unexpected occurrences," Raven said, kissing Royal. "What's with the blanket?" Royal asked. "Oh yeah, one second," Raven said, she changed into a fresh pair of clothes and threw hers in the washer. Raven came back over. "Please tell me I'm not seeing things," Royal said. Raven seemed disheartened. "What... Is there something wrong with me now?" Raven asked in a slightly sorrowful tone. "No! Not at all, it's just... Strange..." Royal said. Raven grinned and kissed him again. "I was just kidding," She said. I yawned and stretched. "I could use a nap too," Raven said. I shapeshifted into a panther and lay down on the floor. Raven lay down on the floor and rested her head on top of me. "That looks uncomfortable," Royal said. "It's actually quite comfortable, just try not to toss and turn," Raven said, gesturing for Royal to join her. He lay down next to her and put an arm around her shoulders. I rested my head on my paws and took a nap. I woke up a few hours later and Raven was in Royal's room cuddling with him. I shapeshifted back to my normal form and Vanilla came over and cuddled with me. Raven and Royal walked back into the living room and I checked my phone. There was an event tonight. Raven and I went into an empty room and took an offensive stance. Raven took a defensive stance. Royal stood off to the side and watched us. I took a few swings at Raven and she blocked each one. I shifted my stance to a defensive stance and Raven shifted to an offensive stance. She took a few swings at me and I blocked them with ease. "Good to see you're still just as good, if not, better than you were before," I said. I tried to take another swing at her and she flipped me onto my back. "Good job," I said, standing up and dusting myself off. "She beat you... Maybe you're not as strong as you used to be," Royal said jokingly. "No, it just means I taught her well, come at me if you want to try and prove otherwise," I said. "No thanks," Royal said. I made dinner and after dinner Raven, Lemon and I changed into our racing suits. I grabbed my knife and Raven grabbed hers. We drove to the event and everything was going well. Some people didn't seem to like the fact that we were doing so well and were gathered around our cars. We took off our helmets and stuck them in our cars. "You looking for a fight? You'll surely lose," I said. "Perhaps Blackfeather and Bluefeather will live up to their namesake by becoming black and blue," One of them said. "I think you'll find it's you who will be black and blue, or even red, blood red," I replied. One of them took a swing at me. I bashed him in the back of the head with my elbow as I dodged the attack. I handed Coconut, Karol, and Royal each a pair of brass knuckles and slid one set on my left hand, handing Raven the other for her to do the same. The other members of the group joined in and attempted to attack us. We easily beat them up and went back to what we were doing. Royal handed me the microphone. "Sorry to keep you waiting, we had a bit of a mishap in the parking lot," I said before handing the microphone back to Royal. The rest of the event went fine and we went back to the shop. Karol proposed the idea of going street racing in Texas again sometime soon. "Sounds good," I said. I grabbed some electronic parts and assembled two more voice synthesizers. Raven and Lemon handed me their helmets. I put the synthesizers in their helmets and then we all went to bed.
