I was sitting down with Raven, who was still in her PJs although I didn't mind. I gently rubbed her head, when Royal sat down to join us. "You feeling okay?" Royal asked Raven. "Yeah. My chest kinda hurts, though..." Raven said. I continued to gently rub her head and scratch her ears. She purred softly. "Aww. You sound so cute." Royal said, gently rubbing her head. I grabbed a pillow and put it over my shoulder and Raven rested her head on my shoulder. Royal gently stroked her head, scratching her ears every now and then. She blushed and purred. "Should I stop?" Royal asked. "No, please continue, it feels quite nice," Raven said. Royal continued gently rubbing her head and I smiled. A few minutes later Raven fell asleep. I gently set her down so she was sitting in Royal's lap with her head resting against his chest. She looked so cute sleeping peacefully in his lap. I brought her a blanket and gently wrapped her up in it while Royal gently stroked her head. She purred and mumbled something about being nice and warm. She yawned and stretched, nuzzling up against Royal. He smiled. I sat down and she woke up. "Sorry, didn't mean to wake you up," I said to Raven. She looked up to see Royal, she smiled and pressed herself up against his chest. "You're nice and soft," Raven said. He smiled back and continued rubbing her head. "Aww. You two look so cute." I said. Raven blushed and Royal laughed quietly. I headed downstairs with Vanilla to begin working. A few hours into the shift the man who had tried to murder my daughter walked in the door. His face was horribly scarred. I walked up to him. He almost fainted as soon as he saw me and looked like he was about to have a panic attack, while at the same time being frozen with fear. "Sit down and stay a while, I won't hurt you, I would just like to talk," I said with a calm expression. He still seemed terrified, but sat down in a chair anyway. I brought all the orders to their tables and then walked back to where the man was sitting. I brought him some tea and casually leaned on my cane. He calmed down some more. "So, what made you do it?" I asked him. "I'm sorry... I don't know what happened to me, but something was nagging at me to get the gun." He said, his eyes starting to well up with tears. "So I got the gun... It continued to nag me, telling me to shoot her... So I did..." He said, his head in his hands. "After I shot her, the nagging went away... And it dawned on me what I just did... I shot my girlfriend and she was likely going to die, I had also shattered her trust and yours... When you and your friend kicked the door down, it was as if I were staring at the Grim Reaper and a demon of pure fury, who wouldn't just kill me and take my soul to Hell, it would be the one to make sure I did so as slowly and painfully as possible... I felt like I was staring into my own funeral fire... But for some reason purple... I was terrified. I still haven't forgiven myself for what I did... I'm sorry... I don't expect you or Raven to forgive me for what I've done... I just... Want you to know from the bottom of my heart... That I'm sorry..." He said, sniffling, absolutely terrified and about to break down. "Well, you don't need to be afraid of me anymore. Just don't try pulling a weapon in the shop and don't harass anyone and you'll be just fine to come back here whenever the shop is open." I said, giving him a warm smile, gently patting his back. I handed him my handkerchief and he calmed down after a while. "I can ask Raven if she wants to speak with you if you'd like," I told him. "Yes please." He said. I headed upstairs. "Hey, Raven. Your ex-boyfriend (I guess that's what you'd call him) is here, if you want to he'd like to speak with you." I said. "Fine, I'll see what he wants." She said. I gently picked her up and carried her downstairs, setting her down in a seat across from him. He told her everything he told me. "Like I said, I don't expect you to forgive me, but I want you to know why I did it and that I'm very sorry for doing it." He said. "I can't forgive you, but I will accept your apology." She said. I gently picked her back up and brought her to her bed to rest. The man seemed relieved. I remembered his mention of his funeral fire being purple and snickered. "Oh yeah, you said something about seeing your funeral fire as purple if I'm not mistaken," I said. "Yeah, why?" He asked. "Take a look," I said, gesturing toward my motorcycle and my car, both currently parked outside. "Okay..." He said, seeming slightly weirded out. "Wait... Isn't that the car of one of the members of Rogue Speed, by the alias of Blackfeather?" He asked. "Yeah, it is, racing fan eh?" I said. He looked further. "Also... Royal's Supra and a catgirl named Coconut's Mustang?" He asked. "The ones and only," I said. "Coconut's right over there, Royal is upstairs, and Blackfeather... You're lookin' at him. Karol isn't here today, though, you'll have to come back some other day to meet her." I said. "Oh... My... God... I messed up on a whole new level." He said. "I didn't just shoot the daughter of one of the biggest scariest bodyguards in town, I shot the daughter of a world famous racer..." He said, his head dropping. "Chillax. That's behind us." I said. He cheered up a bit. "Anyway, could you get something signed for me?" He asked. "Of course." I replied. He handed me a notebook. I signed his notebook and brought it to Coconut and Royal who also signed it. "I can see if I can get it signed by Karol during my break." I said. A couple hours later it was my break. "I'll be right back Kashou." I said. "Okay." Kashou replied from the kitchen. I hopped in my car and drove to Karol's house. The front door was unlocked. Karol was sitting on the couch playing a racing game. "Hey, Karol." I said. "Hey Qrow, wanna play a round?" Karol asked. "Not right now, maybe after work, though, someone wanted something signed real quick." I said. "Sure, tell them to come to one of the events next time they want something signed, though." She said, quickly signing the notebook and handing it back to me. "Thanks, see you later Karol." I said. "Any time," Karol replied as I headed out the door. I drove back to the shop and handed him his notebook. "Thanks, man." He said. "No problem, Karol said to go an event next time you want something signed, though." I told him. "Okay then." He replied. He left a few hours later and I closed up the shop. I went upstairs to check on Raven. "How're you holdin' up kiddo?" I said with a smirk. "It doesn't really hurt anymore, so I guess I would say I'm feeling better." Raven said. I carefully sat down on the edge of the bed. I gently rubbed her head. I gave her a hug and brought her some more food as well as a cup of tea. "Thank you." Raven said, giving me a hug. I gently patted her head. I walked out to the living room and searched my trench coat pockets. I found the console and hooked it up to the TV in the living room. I dusted it off and got almost a cat's worth of brown fuzz out of it. I played some games with Karol for a while then went to bed with Vanilla.
