Onlookers and media swarmed the steps to the police station Monday morning. Zabuza and Kisame met Y/n and Obito at the penthouse before escorting them over for the press conference. There was a meeting to be held at eight sharp, then Itachi would address the media at ten. Minus one apparent member, the entire Uchiha family were to convene after Y/n spoke to the FBI and KPD first.

The entire drive over to the police station was an onslaught of questions. Y/n kept evading them with vague answers and her own questions. In the end, Obito sat silently beside his wife as he held her hand. No matter how angry, upset, or even the amount of betrayal he felt- he still loved her with all his heart.

Ascending up the steps, Zabuza and Kisame lead the way while Y/n was tucked into her husband's side. Kisame held the contents of the safe close to his body as he shoved past the hoard of idiots who wanted a glimpse at the woman who started it all. Zabuza wanted nothing more than to punch every last one of them that called out to her.

Finally, inside, Y/n was pulled away from Obito and into a bone-crushing embrace. Tensing at first, Y/n relaxed once she realized her father was holding her tightly. Everything happened in a rush as Y/n and Obito were escorted down the hallway and into a conference room. The door closed, an ominous weight settling over everyone that occupied the space.

All eyes moved to the door that had just closed. Zabuza and Kisame moved further into the room, standing beside Kakashi and Naruto. Shikamaru and Asuma were near the window, though the blinds were pulled closed. Jiraiya walked to a male that Y/n didn't recognize. His back was to her so that she couldn't see his face. Obito put his hand on Y/n's back and guided her closer to the table, pulling out a chair.

Obito went to sit beside her until Jiraiya spoke, "I think it's best for you to leave," his eyes were fixed on his son-in-law.

Y/n looked at her father before turning her head to Obito, "Why would I need to leave?" He asked with a hint of disdain, "She's my wife, and she's the one he's coming after-"

"This meeting is for law enforcement only," the unknown man turned, finally allowing Obito and Y/n to see his face. "This is a joint investigation," he continued, a charming smile on his face, "and Y/n is a former agent, as well as an advisor for the FBI-"

"Who the fuck are you to tell me who my wife is?" Obito was growing angrier and angrier by the second.

Zabuza was the one who stepped forward, attempting to keep the peace, "This is Rasa," Y/n turned to face Zabuza, but Obito's eyes were still fixed on the man in question. "He's the Suna FBI Director."

Y/n's mind ran in circles. Rasa... she's heard that name before. "Zabuza," she said calmly, "can I have a moment alone with you?" She stood up and looked at Obito, "It'll only take a second." Her smile was supposed to be reassuring, but almost every man in the room read right through it.

Y/n headed for the door, not waiting for a response. Nothing good was going to come from the day. This was going to be a disaster, no matter how anyone looked at it. Y/n's eyes landed on Kisame, still holding the box from the safe. The Kiri agent read the message: don't set it down. He gave a curt nod as Y/n slipped out into the hallway. Zabuza matched Obito's glare as he walked to follow her out.

"What is this all about?" Zabuza asked immediately, "He's-"

Y/n yanked Zabuza further down the hall, "Wait," she walked a good fifteen feet away from the door, "Rasa," she hissed as she turned to face Zabuza, "His name is in one of those envelopes." She said in a hushed voice.

Zabuza arched a brow, "Are you saying the director of the FBI in Suna is working with Madara?" He was skeptical, with reason mind you, but Y/n's face was severe.
