Madara POV:
There was only one way to send a message to the man that made a move without me. More than that, he made a move against me. Taking action against Obito was just as bad as taking one against Y/n. We had an arrangement I thought he understood. Seeing her on the news and in the paper was depressing. Knowing she was with that damn Senju only made things worse.
Danzo would know my wrath. Take from me, and I'll take from you. Everyone doubts my love for Y/n. Even her. Perhaps it's time I show her what happens when you doubt me. This is an opportunity to send a message to more than one man.
Shin was a worthless pawn in the game of life I was playing. He had his uses, though. The current one was managing to bring Danzo's only living son to me. As I walk to the warehouse basement, I think of how I'll torture him. Do I kill him? Scalp him? Bleed him dry? Rip him apart and mail him home piece by piece?
No.
The message will be clear when I'm finished with him. But I won't kill him. Not yet. Maybe I'll watch as Y/n slaughters him. We could have Danzo watch as Y/n slips the blade into his flesh, tearing the muscles free. Let him bleed like a deer, the crimson liquid dripping to the floor before us. Bathe in his blood before we butcher Danzo himself.
I'm worked up again. I need a release, and I need it soon. I hope the torment I offer to Leo will be enough to take the edge off. The youngest of Danzo's sons, they tried to keep his hands clean of the family business. We all know how well that went. Then, after Y/n killed the eldest, Leo stepped in. Then when Ry was dead, well, the rest is history.
And now I had Leo in the palm of my hand. Leaving him alone with Zetsu and Shin wasn't the best idea. I thought maybe the thought of death would make him more willing to talk. Danzo was obviously planning something, and I was going to find out what. I only hoped it wasn't too late for Y/n.
I knew I was playing a dangerous game when it came to making a deal with Danzo. Agreeing to take everyone down that fought against us over the years was one thing. But I also agreed to turn Y/n over to him when it was all finished. I told him I wanted to destroy her life. Give her no choice but to come running to me. Then, I would let him have her.
I don't know how he could believe me. Hell, maybe he doesn't. Maybe that's why he's having Leo run his errands rather than Shin. Ever since Shin began working for me, I can't decide if Danzo trusts him or not. This might be a test for that as well.
There's yelling as I approach the door. The steel that separates me from the two men makes the sounds muffled. I can't discern who is speaking as I open the door. Shin's head turns to find me frowning as I step inside. Leo's hands are tied, and they're hanging on the cast iron pipe running above his head. He's tall, allowing his feet to touch the floor completely.
"He'll kill you for this," Leo's tone was proud for someone within my grasp. "But he'll kill that whore first. Make you watch."
I stopped beside Shin, "Leave us."
"Sir," I turned my head slightly, not giving Shin my full attention, "He's not worth all of this. I doubt Danzo has told him anything of use."
Giving Leo my full attention once again, I let my lips twist into a satisfied smile. "I don't care if he knows day from night," I stepped closer, "by the time I'm done with him, he won't even know his name."
"Yes, sir," Shin knew better than to question me a second time.
When the door shutting echoed in the small, concrete room, I began to walk around Leo as he hung before me. I'm not sure why everyone found this act so intimidating, but it always worked to wear them down. Leo was no different. He was trying to follow me as I made circles around him.
"You know he doesn't tell me anything," Leo kept his voice calm.
Continuing my pace, I told him, "I'm not particularly interested in what you think you may or may not know," when I stopped to face him, I added, "I only care about how willing he is to keep you alive."
I watched as the color drained from his face. "I'm his only son."
"Hn," I shrugged lazily as I slipped my hands into my pockets, "Such a sad thought. The Shimura family legacy being no more. Maybe that will be enough motivation for him. And you."
"He wants her to suffer," he exclaimed. "All I know is that he wants Y/n to break. He wants to see her at her worst. As she saw him."
I kept my expression neutral while fighting the laugh that threatened to escape me. "I hate to say it, but your father is quite naive if he thinks Y/n will break." I could see the fear in his eyes. "I've watched that woman go through more than most men at war. No matter what stands in her way, she will prevail."
"I don't care about what happens to her," I doubted his words, "I've tried to tell my father to let it go. I've asked to leave the family. But he keeps threatening me. What am I supposed to do?"
Rather than him begging for his life, I felt as though he was going to start asking me to take it. It sounded as though Danzo had lost his hold on his family. Perhaps I should've had Shin bring in Danzo's wife. She had made it very clear how she felt about Y/n in the past.
"I don't especially care what you do," I waved my hand to the small table against the wall, "I can have Zetsu extract the information. Or you can tell me."
"The fuck do you want to know?" This was going to be easier than I expected. "I'll tell you anything if you don't send me back. Let me live, but make him think I'm dead."
Walking to the table, I picked up the hammer, "I don't think so, Leo," I turned the wooden handle in my hand, eyes tracing the rusted steel. "You're going to be a messenger. I'll take it easier on you if you tell me everything before the torture."
"He just wants her," Leo eagerly offered, "That's it. He wants her to suffer. Her husband. The kids. Her family. Her friends. Even you. He wants to take everything away from her."
I slammed the hammer to the table, jarring the contents, "The kids?" I drew out as I turned. Carrying the hammer, I walked to Leo, "He's going to hurt the girls?"
Leo gulped as I placed the hammer to his chin, "Yes." It was just above a whisper. "He's ruthless."
"He's garbage," I spat as I brought the hammer down onto his elbow.
The scream was piercing in the tight confines of the room. Next, I took a swing at one of his knees. I would make him beg for mercy. I would record him begging for mercy. I would show Danzo how worthless his son was. How easily I could break someone.
Danzo thought he could break Y/n? Oh, how wrong he was. I will make sure Leo is shattered before I return him to Danzo. Then, with a smile on my face, I will happily watch as Y/n tears Danzo apart piece by piece. It will be our reckoning day. The point of no return. The day we work together. The day she admits she needs me. It was all coming together.
Soon, you will be in my arms, Okami.
