Obito gripped the steering wheel as he drove from the hospital to the mansion. The week had been a whirlwind of press and police questioning. Kakashi did what he could to keep the press at bay, but he couldn't do anything about Rasa. The man was persistent with talking to Obito and Y/n every day that week.

Rasa swore that Y/n was hiding something more, which was true. However, Zabuza and Kakashi vowed to keep the secret, along with Y/n. It wasn't the only piece of information Y/n had tucked away, though. Y/n hoped that she could die with the final piece of information that Madara had given her. As far as Y/n knew, only two other people, that were alive knew what she knew.

Y/n and Obito kept busy with work- a distraction. Kikyo was staying with Zabuza and Kisame in the spare penthouse downstairs. Kisame was the runner from the precinct to the penthouse where Zabuza was reviewing all the case information. While Zabuza was on 'vacation,' he was still allowed to review the case.

Tsuki was at the mansion with Mikoto for the week. Obito was headed to the family estate now. He wasn't alone, though. Which is what lead to his sour mood. It wasn't the woman beside him that was his issue.

"Are you going to scowl the entire way there?" Y/n asked from the passenger seat.

Obito shifted his grip on the wheel, wringing it almost. Then, shrugging his shoulders in an attempt to relax, he cut his eyes into the rearview mirror. "It's been a long week," he pointed out, "I'm just ready to be home for the weekend."

From the backseat, the third voice finally spoke, "I told you that Itachi could pick me up."

Y/n arched a brow as she looked to Obito before turning to look in the back, "Itachi has a lot going on right now, Shisui. We don't mind. We need to pick up Tsuki anyway."

Shisui nodded as he looked at Y/n, "He called me the other day," a soft sigh left his lips, "he wouldn't tell me the details, but he said that Izumi and he were working through some things."

Obito moved again, one hand on the wheel and the other on the shifter, "Everyone is stressed right now," another cut of his eyes. Again, he held Shisui's stare, "we all need to be mindful of one another's lives."

Before anyone else could speak, the gate to the driveway was in view. Y/n turned back to face the windshield as she thought over the tension between the cousins. She's only sensed it in them a few times before over the years. She had an idea of what the issue was, but she couldn't be sure.

Shisui made his way to his rooms with the help of one of the few attendants the family still employed. Y/n and Obito headed towards the central part of the house where the children's playroom had been designed. Sakura and Mikoto had enjoyed planning the addition to the mansion.

"Mommy!" Tsuki's voice bounced off the hallway as she ran towards her mother. Then, spotting her father further down the hall, she sang out, "Daddy!"

Y/n laughed as her youngest daughter barreled past her and into the arms of Obito. As Obito scooped Tsuki up, she threw her arms around his neck. Y/n loved Obito dearly. Seeing him becoming a father was an absolute blessing. It was something she wanted to watch happen again. Something she wanted to give him the gift of. Y/n knew the moment Obito told her that Madara had escaped and that she would do anything to preserve her family's safety.

"Oh," Y/n stated as she saw the pinkette exit the kid's playroom, Sakura tucked behind her, "Where's Mikoto?"

Sakura had a soft smile on her face as she hugged Y/n, "She's in bed," she waved to Obito. "She has a cold. Spiked a fever earlier this morning."

Y/n looked at Obito as he stopped beside her. Focusing back on Sakura, she asked, "Why didn't she call me? I could've left work early-"

"She didn't want to bother you," Sakura looked behind her when she heard a door open, "Fugaku has been taking care of her today." She said as Sasuke approached them. "I'll handle Shisui for the weekend-"
