Surprise Visitors

Amara's POV

It's Saturday and kakatapos lang ng therapy ni Calli for today. She can walk on her own now!!! Though may difficulty pa rin siya sa pagsasalita. But she's getting better and better and mas natutuwa ako.

"That's a great job!" Sabi ni Alex then nag-apir sila ni Calli.

"Thank you po!" She replied then patalon siyang umupo sa bed niya. "Oh! Careful." Paalala ko. Nagiging hyper na ulit itong batang to. That's how i know na gumagaling na siya.

It's almost lunch and naeexcite ako because i'm expecting surprise visitors for Calli. Matutuwa na naman siya dito. Nagrequest kasi ako and gladly, they accepted the invitation. Medyo nagulat pa nga sila when i told them about what happened to Calli.

"Mommy, pwede po bang paki abot ng water." Calli requested pero bago pa ako makatayo ay nagpresinta na si Alex at siya na ang kumuha nito.

"Do you want to eat lunch now?" Tanong ko sa kaniya.

"Busog pa po ako eh." She answered. Kumain kasi siya ng fruit slices kanina.

"Okay."

Biglang tumayo si Alex while holding the phone up on his ears. "Yes Mr. Castro?" He asked on the other line. He signaled to me na 'wait lang' then lumakad siya palabas ng room. "Sure sir." Narinig ko bago siya makalabas.

"Work." I said then Calli and i both wiggled our eyebrows.

After a few minutes, pumasok ulit si Alex dito sa room. "Sorry, may urgent client meeting." Alex said apologetically.

"Sure sure. Sige na." I said. Nagbeso muna siya sa amin ni Calli then he left.

"May watermelon pa ba?" Tanong ko and i stood up to check the fridge. "Yunnn! Meron pa." Hahaha.

I took the tupperware na may watermelon slices. "Hmmm. May salt pa ba dito?" I asked myself. Alam ko meron pa dito eh. I checked the tray and found the salt shaker. HA! Buti nalang hindi inuuwi ni Alex kapag kumukuha siya ng supply sa bahay.

"Andddd.....chocolate syrup." Kinuha ko na yung mga 'ingredients' ng cravings ko. So first, drizzle the chocolate syrup sa watermelon slice. Then sprinkle some salt.

"Hmm. Yum." I said as i took the plate and dinala ko sa upuan ko.

"Salt?" Nakakunot noong tanong ni Calli.

"Yes. You want to try?" Alok ko but she just shook her head. Okay. More for me, i guess. Basta bigla ko nalang nagustuhan na kumain nito. Because i usually eat some fruits with salt dati. So i tried it, dinagdagan ko lang ng chocolate syrup. Atleast it's not ketchup diba? Alam kong medyo weird yun. But kung may ketchup lang dito, i'll probably use that. Hahaha.

"My goodness! New fave ko na naman." I said as i took a bite. Super love this.

I heard knocking from the door kaya binaba ko muna yung plate sa table then binuksan ko yung pinto.

"Hi po!" Omygeee. Si Luna and chef Corrine na pala. Sila yung surprise visitors that i was talking about. I thought that maybe Calli would love it kung makikita niya yung dalawa sa mga favorite niyang tao.

"Hi Luna! Hi Chef! Thank you for coming ah. Super appreciated." I said then pinapasok ko na sila. Kumaway ako kay Luna and kumaway din siya. Sobrang cute niyaaaa. Sinundan ko siya ng tingin nang dumiretso siya kay Calli.

"No worries. Corrine nalang. Hahaha. Ang haba and ang formal ng chef Corrine eh." She said. Napakaganda talaga ng ngiti ng mag-inang to.

"Sure. Amara nalang din."
