Attacks on Muggles had been more prevalent over the few weeks that passed since Harry and Draco's fight. Patrolling Hogwarts was something that was happening more as well. Katherine always wondered what Dumbledore was doing out of the castle but never dared ask. Kingsley, Emmeline, and occasionally Katherine were still looking after the Muggle Minister. There were no attacks on him, which was amazing.
George had been staying at the Burrow to keep Katherine company. That left Fred inviting Angeline to the loft almost every night which made their relationship grow stronger. Fred often confided in Katherine about his relationship. Katherine would always get giddy when this happened. She loved that the two were together. Katherine always shipped them together.
On the contrary, Tonks was making no progress with Remus. The man kept shooting her down even though he reciprocated the feelings. Remus always insisted his lycanthropy made him unworthy of anyone's love. Tonks had been trying to prove him wrong, but it was no use. Remus wouldn't listen to her reasoning. Katherine was dying to knock some sense into him, but he would avoid her as well. Tonight Remus was at the Burrow for dinner, and Katherine planned on getting him alone so that she could speak her mind.
Everyone had just finished the delicious dinner Molly had made for them. Arthur, Bill, and Remus were talking in the living room. Fleur and Katherine, who were also keeping an eye on Remus, discussed patrolling while Molly cleaned up in the kitchen. Finally, the twins were playing Exploding Snap near Arthur and the others. Suddenly, Remus got up, saying bye to everyone. Katherine followed him outside.
"Remus, hold on!" Katherine called out. He turned around with one eyebrow raised. "I want to talk to you about Tonks."
"No, I'm not talking about Tonks," Remus said as he turned back around.
"Remus John Lupin! Stay right where you are!" Katherine ordered.
He turned back around. "Did you just say my full name! How do you even know my middle name?"
"Sirius told me," Katherine said, trying to hold back her smile. "Now back to what I was talking about!"
Remus sighed. "Go on."
"Give Tonks a chance!" Katherine pleaded. "You both deserve love! You and Tonks deserve to be happy!"
"I don't deserve anything, and as for Tonks, well, she deserves more than a werewolf," Remus responded. "I'm a monster!"
"What makes you think you're a monster?" Katherine laughed in disbelief. "Is society telling you that? Is Umbridge the stinking toad saying that? If so, then to hell with what they think or say!"
"Well, that's rather profane to say, isn't it?" Remus cracked a small smile.
"When I talk about things I'm passionate about, words like that tend to slip out," Katherine smiled.
Remus sighed and walked to Katherine. "Katherine, I love Tonks. I really do, but I don't want to hurt her."
"Remus, you are a kind and wonderful man," Katherine made sure to look in his eyes when she talked to him so that he could see her sincerity. "I want you to at least think about giving Tonks a chance. She loves you so much."
"I shall think about it," Remus said. He started to walk away. "Goodnight, Katherine."
"Goodnight, Remus," Katherine smiled as he apparated. She prayed that he would take her requests seriously.
Katherine walked back inside the Burrow. Molly was now sitting next to Arthur. They were talking to each other with so much love in their eyes. Katherine smiled at them as Arthur kissed her Molly, causing her to blush. They still had the love that was light so many years ago. Katherine's thoughts were interrupted by a pair of lips touching her collarbone. She turned around and smiled at the culprit.
"Why're you staring at my parents?" George asked with a smile.
Katherine laughed. "They love each other so much."
"Well, I hope so," George chuckled.
"I hope we end up like them," Katherine smiled.
"You want seven kids?" George playfully asked.
"You know that's not what I meant," Katherine said as she laughed. "No, I want to still blush at the little things like they do. Hopefully, we look like that in the future."
"Nah, I'll be more handsome," George teased.
Katherine hit his arm and turned to Arthur and Molly. "Oh, shut it."
George studied Katherine's face; it was one of George's favorite hobbies. By now, he knew when Katherine was lying, what she was feeling, and her basic reactions. George's favorite face she made was when she was happy. The way her lips curled up when she smiled. How her nose scrunched and the wrinkled that collected at the corner of her eyes. Those were all that made George love Katherine.
"When are we going to get married?" George asked.
Katherine faced George. "I haven't given it a thought, you know, with all the stuff going on. But right now, I would say when everything is over with. I want our wedding to be in happy times."
"What if the war never ends?" George asked.
"It will," Katherine sighed. "Dumbledore will make sure of it."
"What if Dumbledore dies?" George asked. Katherine tensed at the thought of the man's death.
"Dumbledore can't die," Katherine shook her head. "We need him."
"Kari, come dance!" Fleur called from the living room.
Katherine grinned and ran to join the French girl. Fleur took Katherine's hands and began to spin around. When they let go, both girls became dizzy. They held their heads and laughed at the feeling. After Katherine and Fleur, the dizziness went away; they started to dance again. Katherine saw Molly tapping her foot to the music, so Katherine pointed her fingers at her and moved them back and forth.
Molly was taken aback by Katherine's telling her to come over to her. She shook her head, but Katherine didn't allow that answer. Instead, she grabbed Molly and dipped her. Molly let out a surprised yelp when that happened. Katherine continued to shimmy around Molly, making everyone around them laugh. She looked to Fleur, but she was dancing with Bill.
George grabbed Katherine's hips, took her hand, and started to sway. Katherine laughed at the sudden movements. She rested her chin on George's shoulder and saw Fred dancing with Molly. She was so happy to have her son dance with her. Arthur was by himself snapping to the music. Katherine smiled as she looked around. Everyone was happy. Hopefully, it would stay this way.
