I slipped up the staircases to the Astronomy tower, where I found myself sitting with my feet dangling off the side, again.

My mind wondered over the forest, wondering about what was actually on the other side of the trees. I knew that it was most likely just the sea, but I couldn't help and imagine it maybe being fields. Wide, green, open fields.

I was so deep into thought, that I didn't hear someone sit down next to me, their legs also hanging off the balcony, in between the bars of the railing. I knew someone joined me, but I didn't even glance their way. I kept my eyes forward while my mind was still in thought.

"For once I see you without a joint in between your fingers," Jacob said, making me giggle.

I shook my head playfully as I looked at him, meeting his eyes. "Very funny Jake."

He smiled. "No one has called me Jake in-"

"Two years," I said, staring back over the dark green view.

"Two years?" he questioned, looking at where my eyes were stuck on. "That's been quite a long time," he said, making me chuckle.

I looked down a bit, focusing on the trees closest to us. "It has been, hasn't it?"

Jacob noticed me wondering off. "You're still high, aren't you?" he asked, sighing.

I nodded slowly. "It barely has any effect on me anymore."

Jacob placed his hand on my thigh, making me look at him again. "What's troubling you?" he asked, making me look away again.

"I showed emotion," I said, making Jacob frown. "I showed feelings for a guy. The same guy everyone is saying I killed, or scared off, or even slaughtered. I- I don't ever show emotion."

Jacob sighed, pulling his hand back to his lap. "Lee, sometimes one does not see what another does."

"What?" I asked in confusion as I looked up with a frown. "Words Jake. Words."

He chuckled. "Well, maybe there is a reason why Mattheo isn't here. I don't know?"

I scoffed. "Of course there's a reason! But why wont he just tell me what it is so that I can maybe help?"

Jacob sighed. "Lee. In Mattheo's situation, it's hard-"

"And yours?" I asked looking at him. He frowned in confusion. "And Draco's? And Blaise's? And Theo's? What about Enzo's? Or Pansy's?"

Jacob shook his head in confusion. "Wha- what do you mean?" he asked in a stuttering tone.

I scoffed in irritation. "Long sleeves. Secret conversations. Vanishing off at night. Avoiding Holiday questions. Jake, I'm not stupid. I know you're death eaters, but I also know that you had no choice. So cut the bullshit and tell me what Matty's deal is?!"

Jacob was surprised but didn't deny anything. "Lee, I really don't know where Mattheo is. No one does."

I groaned, before dropping my head against the railings in front of me.

"I'm sorry Lee, but it's all I can help with."
