A week had already passed, along with Christmas and New Years. It was fun, yes. You got to spend time with your cousins, their cool friends.. Your older friends along with your friends in general!

But.. All except one.

You hadn't seen neither heard of Tanjiro ever since you confessed, and you grew a bit worried... What if you ruined your friendship? What if.. He won't ever want to talk to you again?

You shake your head, slapping your cheeks as you tried snapping out of the overthinking—but it couldn't be helped.

You had even gotten a small job for your winter break! (You tried doing everything humanly possible to distract yourself to not think about him at all (obviously didn't work))

So that's where you were at currently, working a small shift in the movie theatre downtown Tokyo. It was quite aesthetically pleasing to the eye, but you were getting a bit tired since nothing interesting was happening.

All you were really doing was standing behind the counter, eyeing the arcade as you wished to go there and play a bit. But, you had to lock up soon, since it was a little later than midnight.

As soon as you walked out from your spot behind the counter however you heard a specific song play in the arcade area. Your ears perked up at the sound, and you quickly jogged your way to the arcade. Eyes scanning all the games and colorful scenarios.

"If you wanna be my little baby, you can meet me in the pale moonlight~.."

Your eyes widened as you recognized Lana Del Rey's voice, and you couldn't help the small smile that cracked itself onto your lips. "Perfect timing.." you muttered as you looked around, seeing how the place was completely empty.

You smirk, deciding to have a small concert..

"You don't have to give me anything, just put your sweet kiss kiss on my lips now baby~!" you sung, not really noticing how your vocals were surprisingly good.

You continued to dance and sing to one of your favorite songs; your eyes shining bright as those diamonds in the sky...

Then... came your favorite part.

"I'm the sweetest girl in town so,"

"Why are you so mean?"

"When you gonna, ditch that stupid bitch you got..?"

"It's me you should be seeing...~"

Your eyes could only shoot open as your mouth opened wide with laughter and joy as you sung along, still smiling brightly as your eyes could only glimmer.

"Hello-oh-oh you are lookin' so fine.."

"So fine.."

"A fantasy about you's like a gold mine, gold mine.."

"Asking everybody—"

"Is he mine? Is he mine..?" you pause as you breathe in more air, still smiling like an adorable munchkin as you continued. "Not quite yet, but I'm gonna get, get him..~"

"Not quite yet, but I'm gonna get, get him~!"

"I can be your one time baby~!"

"I can be your little Dairy Queen~!"

"I don't wanna care tonight!"

"I don't wanna fiiight~~!"

"You don't have to give me anything, just put your sweet kiss kiss on my lips now, baby~!" you finished, gasping for air as your smile grew even brighter.

But, you flinched as you heard the sound of someone clapping their hands.

Jolting up, your head snapped to the direction of the clapping—only for your eyes to widen as the heat quickly rose to your cheeks.

You were about to open your mouth and speak but you only shut it soon afterwards since the male wasn't someone you recognized.

Long, black hair that went into a sweet shade of minty green. Big and intimate aqua blue eyes, that had a glint of surprise yet curiosity in them.

Woah.. Who is he?!

"You sing quite good!... Especially as a Lana Del Rey fan..!" your ears were blessed with the sound of a deep yet monotoned voice, and your heart only fluttered in response.

AKIKEJEJWJS AHHH STOP PANICKING—

You cleared your throat, deciding to not face him completely as you turned your back to him (you were shaking like a leaf but he didn't notice). "Uhh.. I don't know if that's supposed to be a compliment or not." you said with a small chuckle, thanking god for giving you mercy and not letting you splatter out words.

The guy only snorted as a response, raising one of his brows at you before he leaned all his weight against his one leg. "What is it you're supposed to be doing anyways?" your lips formed into a thin line as you decided to face him, raising an eyebrow mockingly.

Never fucking mind. Who does this bitch think he is?!

"Uh, as you can see.. I work here. And what are you doing here anyways?!" you exclaimed, crossing your arms against your chest while you leaned all your weight to your leg. He rolled his eyes before smirking, eyes now narrowing dangerously at yours.

You realized how tall this dude was. Sure, you were used to being shorter than others.. But this man was making you feel even small as fuck.

"Well uh, I was here to watch a movie but I guess you're closing up soon, right?" he answers with a question, and you frowned while face palming. "I swear.. I have to start remembering things.." you muttered at yourself, mumbling gibberish while walking to the front desk. Mystery boy following you close behind.

"Yeah, I'm locking up soon.. So I suggest you go home and come back tomorrow I guess." you say matter of factly, the guy rolling his eyes before turning on his heel and walking out.

"Alrighty, I'll see you then." he simply said before completely heading out, and you could only have a small irk mark on your face as you decided to finish cleaning up. You made sure nobody else was in the building and finally decided to clock out, and lock up the movie theatre.

Now I know what mom means when she begs me not talk to strangers...

Some of them can be a complete BITCH!
