"Alright.. I'll be seeing you soon, Genya-kun!"

You waved goodbye at the male as he did the same, a small smile on his lips. "Yeah, see ya." he states, still with that smile as he turned to walk away.

Yet before he started to move, he halts and suddenly turns around. Seemingly curious about something..

"Wait, (Y/n)-chan.. Didn't you have a job?!"

"Oh yeah.. sorry I didn't tell you, but it was just a small part time job deal I got for winter break!"

The male nods with understanding, chuckling before actually turning to leave again while waving a hand.

Blinking, you smiled softly before turning on your heel and starting to walk your way home.

And yet as soon as you were about to go on your phone—Genya's sudden call of your name made you immediately turn and face him again. With your brows raised.

"What is it? It's getting dark out so I have to hurry.." you exclaimed, muttering small curses as you glance up at the darkening sky and then back down at the male who wasn't that far away from you, thankfully.

You truly didn't feel like yelling at him across the streets.. Plus, you were already starting to receive weird stares.

"Yes yes, I know.. Look, (Y/n)-Chan.. I—.." he pauses, mumbling sweet nothings before he clears his throat again.

You failed to notice the way his face started glowing with a pink hue.. The sunset was making it confusing.

You stared at him expectantly from his actions, watching closely how he awkwardly and nervously scratched the back of his neck. A nervous habit you found most of the males you know have..

"I was just wondering.. If. maybe, you'd like to go out on a d—"

"Oh! (Y/n)-Chan!"

You blink, eyes widening as you turn around and face Tanjiro who seemed surprised to be seeing you.

"Oh, and hello to you too, Genya-san!" Tanjiro exclaims once more, and his eyes slightly widen from the bitter scent he caught on from Genya. Even his face seemed bitter as the male clenched his jaw gently and his hands were firmly folded into fists at his sides.

"Hi Tanjiro-kun! What brings you here?" you asked softly, trying to control your excitement from seeing him again. Tanjiro only chuckled at you before he parted his lips again to speak.

"I was just passing by, really.. I got bored at home and figured to go on a walk I guess!" you raise an eyebrow suspiciously at the male, who only gulps, still trying to not get caught.

"..but you literally live by a nearby park and trails—couldn't you have went for a walk there?" you mention, still with that curious and questioning expression.

Tanjiro sighs, scratching the back of his neck as he looked away from you.

Again with the scratching on the back of the neck.. men are weird..

"Ahh.. I guess you caught me! I was actually just going back to the school just in case you were still there to walk you home! It's getting dark out and I just got worried since it can get quite weird these days when it's night time and stuff.." he blabbered about, and your eyes only widened as the softest look on your face formed.

A small smile curved at the corners of your lips, and you giggle before poking his cheek teasingly.

"Why thank you for wanting to be my escort this evening, Tanjiro Kamado!" you say with a British accent, making the male laugh before he ruffled the top of your head.
