Edser In Love

You forgot our date!

Serkan and Eda were a married happy couple. Definitely a power couple of Istanbul. They had been married for 8 months now. And just recently Eda had completed her degree. Her graduation project was presented last week and Serkan had been the supportive husband as always. Helping her with the submissions and being the mentor in her project. Last 2 months of her project had been really tough and stressful for her. So after her presentation of project, she decided to take a two week leave before joining back Artlife because since their marriage they had not got much time to spend with each other due to her hectic class schedule and simultaneously preparing her project. Serkan would be in office all day and she would be in college only to spend time with each other at evening and night but that too working on her project. But they were still happy with each other. Their married life was great, everything they wanted after the hardships they faced. Their sex life was amazing and their love was only increasing as days passed.
Serkan was however not able to take a two week leave from office because currently Artlife was loaded with projects and Engin and Serkan were neck deep buried in completing them because Piril had gone on maternity leave. So it was all upto Serkan and Engin. Even Engin had to sometimes rush back to his home to look after Piril and their son. And Serkan was working hard, trying to manage his personal and professional life but did get frustrated at times because he was not able to give Eda the time she needed. Serkan was mostly busy working whole days and would come late at night. Only to have dinner with her and then they would make out and he would sleep exhausted. Eda completely understood his hectic schedules and never complained. She had wanted to join back Artlife as soon as she graduated to lessen his workload but he had refused stating that she needed that 2 week break before joining back. However this didn't affect them. Because at the end of the day they were together and so in love. Serkan and Eda would make sure to go out for night walks daily with Sirius and be together.
So last night, when he and Eda were taking a walk around the neighbourhood, Eda had seen a street food vendor selling her favourite dish and she immediately wanted to eat that. But obviously Serkan being the cleanliness freak refused her straightaway saying it was clearly unhealthy. And Eda being the stubborn self had persuaded him a lot but all in vain. He didn't agree and Eda got upset and didn't talk to him all the way till home.
Once they were in home, Serkan did try to talk to her but she didn't clearly angry.
"Eda, baby, understand me please, it was really unhygienic. You can't have that."
"Serkan, since childhood I am having things from street vendors and I am completely okay. See. Why can't you actually let me have it once."
"Eda, I will ask Seyfi to make it for you tomorrow. Tamam? Then you can have."
"No, I want those only, not the one that Seyfi makes. The ones on the street are actually much tastier."
"Eda, no..."
"Tamam, I don't want to talk to you Serkan."
She said this and stomped to their room. Serkan followed behind and tried to talk to her. But she laid down on the bed and covered herself with a blanket and went to sleep, actually pretended to sleep but both knew they wouldn't be able to sleep without each other's embrace. Serkan gave up on trying to pacify her. He knew her mood swings well. She was very stubborn but nevertheless Serkan loved her. He slipped into the bed and tried to cuddle her but she moved further away and turned to other side.
"Eda. Please. We both know we can't sleep without each other."
Eda turned back and looked at him. She moved towards him and hugged him tight. Serkan sighed in relief and spoke, "Baby, I am sorry to not let you eat that..."
"Shh Serkan, I understand your point. I forgive you but only on one condition."
She spoke giggling.
"And what is that Eda?"
"You will have a lunch date with me tomorrow. And it's anyways weekend, so you can come home soon from office. I will make all the unhealthy food that I like and you will have to eat that." She said grinning.
"Okay baby. I promise."
"Really Serkan?"
"Yes Eda."
She kissed on his neck and Serkan dozed off to sleep really tired while Eda kept kissing his neck and chin.
The next morning he had an early morning meeting, so he left early. And Eda woke up later with a smile realising that she had a lot to cook today for their lunch date with her husband. She was happy that they will finally be able to get some time together. She started preparing pizza and cutlets and pasta and french fries, all her favourites that she would make Serkan eat but she also made a salad dish for him because she didn't want to force him too much into eating unhealthy. That guy all his life had been living on no carbohydrate diet. Poor Serkan, she chuckled to herself while preparing the salad.
It was almost afternoon now and she set the table and went up to change into a dress from his hoodie. She sat on the couch waiting. An hour passed and Serkan didn't come. She messaged him when was he coming home but he didn't reply. She waited another hour and called then, but he didn't answer.
She tried another time after half an hour and he picked.
"Serkan when are you coming home?"
"Eda, I am in a meeting, anything urgent?"
"Serkan, we..umm nothing. Just asking."
"Eda, it will take me another 3-4 hours."
"Okay."
And she cut the phone with tears in her eyes. He probably forgot what he had promised her yesterday night. She understood that he was really busy but she had just asked for a few hours to spend together that too on a Saturday and he forgot. She cried a little and went to her room.
Her friends had messaged on her whatsapp group early morning today asking to meet and go to a club but she had refused saying she was going to spend the evening and night with Serkan. She opened the group and replied she would be there.
She got ready in a dress and walked out of the house. She sat in her car and messaged Serkan.
I am going to meet Hala and then my friends
And Serkan replied a minute later.
