Eda was being hugged by Serkan and Kiraz had climbed up the hospital bed to join her first group hug with her parents.

"Anneee.. baba.. baba came.. he is my baba.. why didn't you tell me earlier that I have such an amazing dad?" Kiraz spoke and Serkan and Eda parted to look at her. They had no clue what to say. And Serkan weeped hearing her mention him as an amazing father already. She had just known for the last 5 minutes that Serkan was her father and she was already head over heels in love with her father.

"Kirazcim.. umm.. your dad.. he.. I mean we were not together.. so." Eda spoke hesitantly, no clue what to say but definitely not wanting to lie to Kiraz or build false narratives.

"Do you not like me baba? Is that why you left my anne? Because you don't want me?" Kiraz asked all of a sudden and Serkan shook his head vigorously.

"No.. no.. no. Nothing like that Kiraz.. I love you so much my baby. I am sorry I didn't come earlier.." He said hugging her and Kiraz nodded, not really wanting to scold her dad fearing he might go away again. She was more than happy to let go of the past and just enjoy her dad's arrival.

However this wasn't the case with Eda. When the initial shock and excitement of him coming back to his family subsided for Eda, it was immediately replaced with fear and anger. That he couldn't just come back, say a sorry and get back involved in her life like that last 8 years didn't happen.

When she had made Kiraz eat something and put to sleep next to her on the bed while Serkan sat on the chair next to Kiraz patting her hair lovingly, Eda spoke,
"If you are here to take my daughter's custody from me, I will never let that happen Serkan."

Serkan looked at her surprised,
"Eda I told you I am not here for that. Please you have to believe me. I am here for a second chance with you." He said honestly.

"What makes you think I would want to give you a second chance? Bold of you to assume that I haven't moved on from you." Eda shot back.

"Have you moved on?" Serkan asked with a pained expression and Eda knew she had hit the wrong nerve.

"I am not going to forgive you for the last 8 years in just a few minutes Serkan." She said trying to deviate the topic.

"So you haven't moved on.!" Serkan said smilingly.

"I said something else. Are you even listening to me?" Eda said faking anger but she was smiling within.

"Eda.. I am not asking you to forgive me right now. I am going to make it up to you baby. And make it up to Kiraz for all the lost time we could have had as a family." He said and Eda blushed when he used the word 'baby'. She was reminded of their old times and she immediately turned her face other side to hide her blush from a smirking Serkan.

"I.. I am sorry Eda." Serkan let out sincerely and she just nodded.

"I am sleepy." She said.

"Of course. You can sleep. I will be just here. In case you need anything." He said going to sit on the makeshift bed on the couch in their room.
