Pregnancy Chronicles - 2

A short drabble again because I am writing another one or two shot story and I feel I am at writer's block with it.
So definitely need you guys' motivation.
Plot:- Set if they get married on their actual wedding day, no amnesia plot.

Eda was 5 months pregnant. Serkan and Eda were married for an year now and it was their first pregnancy. And one thing that Serkan had learnt in her 5 months of pregnancy was to not try to control her. Because a pregnant and grumpy Eda was impossible to handle for him.
So now here he was, arranging a grand birthday party for his mother, Aidan on Eda's request.
"Serkan, I can't believe it's Aydan hanim's birthday today. We still have so much to do." Eda spoke still cuddling with Serkan early in the morning.
"I know Eda. But calm down and baby you have to promise me you will not over exert yourself today. Eda, you asked me if you could arrange her party and I didn't refuse you. But you have been working too much Eda and I am really worried because every night you have swollen feet and Seyfi tells me that you don't eat and drink properly throughout the day. It's just a birthday Eda. You have been working too hard from the last 15 days on it." He said worry evident in his tone.
"Serkan, it's your mother's birthday. And we need to celebrate Serkan. Last year has been difficult for her. She went through a divorce Serkan. Serkan stop controlling me, you worry so much for me. I am completely fine." She said getting up from the bed angry.
"Eda, I understand love. Calm down. I am just saying to take care of yourself. I have a meeting in an hour. I will see you at the venue baby. Please take care. I love you." He said going to her as she was standing in front of the mirror and observing her body, her growing belly.
Serkan placed his hands on her belly and leaned down to kiss her. And then he bent down to give her belly a kiss.
"Good morning to you too my baby. Baba loves you."
Eda smiled understanding his concern for her and baby's health.
"Tamam Serkan. I will take care of myself. I love you askim. Please be on time and remember you have to get Aydan hanim at the venue."
"Of course Eda. I will be on time babe. Take care. But Eda you still haven't told me what did you get her as a gift? Why keep it a surprise from me baby?" He asked.
"Serkan, you will know today. I am sure it is going to be special for you too." She replied buttoning his shirt and then helping him wear his coat and fixing it's collar as he got ready to leave.
Serkan kissed her and left while Eda had a smile on her face and went to get ready.
She wore a beautiful pink dress that was backless but completely highlighted her baby bump and reached till ankles. She paired it with medium heels and light makeup. She quickly had her breakfast that Serkan prepared for her before leaving and went to the venue where her aunt and Seyfi were present to help her.
Seyfi, Aidan and Ayfer had literally become an inseparable trio after Eda and Serkan's marriage.
Eda had planned a rooftop sundowner party for Aydan at one of the best restaurants' of Istanbul.
It was for their families and some close friends. And plus 2-3 photographers from media as Aydan was currently the head of one charity organisation. And Eda knew Aidan loved luxury, hence she had booked the whole restaurant for the party and made sure the dishes being made were top class. But she knew her gift would be the most cherished today by Aidan hanim and her husband.
(Author's note: Any guesses guys?)

Seyfi and Ayfer looked after the decorations being done. And before they knew it was already late afternoon and people had started coming in. It was mostly family friends of Bolats, most of whom Eda now knew as they met on social gatherings and Aydan's charity events. She welcomed everyone and helped them settle in the party. Now it was time was Serkan and Aidan hanim to come.
Serkan had just told his mother on way that he was going to take her to lunch for her birthday. And Aydan had happily agreed. Serkan on way messaged Eda that they were reaching soon.
She made everyone attentive to be ready as she got a message from Serkan that they were entering the lift. And all of them shouted surprise and birthday wish as soon as Aydan entered, making her extremely surprised and emotional as well because she at once understood that it was definitely Eda's idea.
Eda came forward and hugged Aydan wishing her birthday and Aydan happily thanked her while Serkan smiled looking at them like that.
The party started and Aydan met all the people that had come there. She was standing with Serkan and Eda when an old couple came forward whom Eda was seeing for the first time. She could also see Serkan tense a little as they approached. Before she could ask him anything.
The lady wished Aydan birthday and then spoke, "Aydan, I suppose this is the girl that your son left our daughter for. Really Serkan? You chose her over Selin? The one who is from a non-rich family?" She asked smirking and Eda could feel anger rising and tears forming in her eyes.
She now understood who this couple was, Selin's parents and why Serkan was tensed earlier. She could also see her husband getting angry and going to explode any minute but before they both could say anything, Aydan spoke up angrily. "Mrs. Atakan, ohh I think you are completely wrong. Because let me tell you, she is rich than all of us here. You want to know how? Because we look for materialistic wealth, but this girl here, Eda, my daughter, she is rich because she is happy, she is content and she always tries to make others happy and helping others. I think that's the most rich one can ever be and sadly people like you will never understand that. Ohh and by the way let me remind you my son didn't leave your daughter, Selin herself left to get engaged to someone else and then let's not remind you what happened next. So my son and daughter in law are not to be blamed for any of that. And Eda here, when you get to know her, you will see how rich she is, because she gives you so much peace and happiness by just being around you that you feel content and at peace yourself. And just in a month of knowing each other, she had selflessly helped me overcome my biggest fear of going out which I am sorry Selin didn't even ever think of doing although she has known me for 20 years. You know why? Because she isn't selfless like Eda, she doesn't think about other people, she just thinks about herself. Now I would warn you to look out for yourselves rather than pointing fingers at my daughter in law. Ohh and there's the door!"
She said pointing towards the door and signalling them to leave while Eda looked at Aydan with tears in her eyes and she was so emotional, she hugged Serkan for support who held her tightly. Aydan turned around as the couple left embarrassed and wiped off the tears that flowed down Eda's cheeks.
"Eda, are you okay kizim? I am sorry they said you this." She said sadly.
Eda smiled a little while answering, "I am okay Aydan hanim. Thankyou so much for supporting me." And Serkan pulled her tighter into him holding her hands and kissing her forehead and feeling extremely happy about how his mother had taken a stand for Eda. He loved seeing their bond improve over time.
Ayfer had listening to all this standing a little away from them and she was actually crying too. She felt proud of the Bolats now who were taking care of her niece like their own daughter. She felt emotional too. While Eda felt really emotional because she felt the gift she was going to Aydan was now totally deserving.
They all collected themselves and went back to enjoying the party. It was time for Aydan to cut the cake and the servers got a beautiful cake that Eda had specifically made for her. They stood at the table and Aydan cut the cake while she held Eda's and Serkan's hand in one of hers. All cheered and clapped for her. Eda took this moment to finally give her the gift.
She tapped on Aydan's shoulder and Aydan turned towards Eda. She took all the courage she could muster and with tears in her eyes she spoke softly, "Here's your gift. Happy Birthday Aydan ANNE." She spoke and the three people standing around her froze on the spot - Aydan, Serkan and Ayfer. Everybody got emotional and while Aydan and Ayfer were opening crying, Serkan had tears in his eyes almost on verge of flowing. They knew how difficult it was for Eda to call someone her mother. She had been deprived of that love and bond for 20 years now even though her aunt had cared for her like a mother, but they knew that it was extremely difficult for Eda to finally say that to Aydan. Aydan on the day of marriage, had asked Eda if she wanted, she could call her mother but Eda had said that it's been a long time and she needed some time.
Eda looked around her at the people she loved the most and asked Aydan again, "Anne, you won't say anything if you liked my gift or not?" She asked and Aydan literally jumped into Eda's arms giving her a bone crushing hug and crying. Ayfer was emotional too and sobbing, finally happy to see her niece find her happy family. She saw Serkan moving towards her and she immediately engulfed him in a hug which to her surprise, Serkan reciprocated back. She spoke whispering to Serkan as tears fell down his eyes as well.
"Serkan, thank you so much for giving my niece the family she deserved. Thankyou for caring for her. I could have never wished for a better husband than you." Serkan nodded and wiped his tears and went back to Aydan and Eda still tightly hugging.
"Anne, anne stop. You are hugging her too tight. Anne. She is pregnant. Stop. Leave her."
Eda and Aydan grinned and separated.
Eda smiled at both of them and spoke, "Aydan anne, you know what?"
"Evet Kizim?"
"Anne, your son is jealous of us." She said grinning and Serkan and Aydan broke out laughing.
"And you know who to come to Eda if my son irritates you. We will scold him together." She said while Serkan fake pouted.
"Woww, woowww. Are you looking at this? They have already teamed up against me." He spoke faking anger and pulled both the ladies into hug.
The people present in the party were sure this was going to be on the front page of every newspaper and gossip channels and magazines and internet the next day. Because it was too cute to handle.
Serkan hugging both Eda and Aydan and both Aydan and Serkan looking at Eda lovingly while she blushed.
"Now stop it guys. No more crying. You are spoiling my wife's makeup Anne." He said. He also felt Eda shivering a little with the wind that had just blown.
"Baby are you cold? Here, take this." He said removing his coat and wrapping it around Eda.
Eda smiled and gave him a small peck on the lips. He took Eda's hand and asked her, "Do you want to dance with me love?"
Eda nodded happily and he led her to the dance floor and started slowing dancing unbothered of the fact that they were the only people dancing. Eda's hand were on his shoulders and she had her head on his chest while Serkan wrapped his hands around her waist slowly swaying to music.
He spoke whispering in her ear, "Eda, you know you have given me and Anne the best gift today. I love you so much. And I love our baby so much."
"I love you too Serkan."
Serkan smiled and kissed her hair.
"Serkan."
"Effendim baby?"
"I am tired." She said leaning back and looking at him. Serkan tucked a strand of hair behind he ear and spoke, "I know my love. I know you are tired. And that's why I have booked us for a spa and massage session  in an hour." He said smiling and Eda looked at him in surprise and in love.
"Ahh thank you so much askim, what would I do without you? Wait. Wait a minute... spa and massage for us?" She asked narrowing her eyes at him and spoke again, "what do you mean us? Why would you get a massage? From a woman?" He said pointing finger at him and he laughed.
"I knew Eda. I know my wife well. Calm down. I was kidding. It's only for you." He said and Eda lightly him on his chest and kissing him.
"Come on Eda, let's go." He said and Eda stopped him.
"Serkan, but it's mom's party. We can't leave midway." She said.
"Eda, come on. Anne will not mind. It's okay Seyfi and Leyla will manage from here on. Come, you are tired love." He said and signed Seyfi and Leyla while moving towards Aydan to wish her bye.
"Anne. We are leaving, Eda's really tired." He said.
"Sorry Anne, we need to leave." She said and Aydan nodded.
"It's okay Eda. You need to rest baby. And thank you for such an amazing party and the best gift I could ever get. By the way want to catch up for lunch at my place tomorrow?" She asked and Eda nodded happily while Aydan hugged her and Serkan smiled.
They bud goodbye and went out to enjoy the rest of the emotional day to themselves.
