After letting Bruce patch up the few injuries you'd picked up whilst retrieving the sceptre, you headed down through the lab. As you entered you could see Tony scanning the sceptre, trying to get as much information about it as he could.

The second you walked in and the door slammed behind you, all heads looked towards you. No one said a word, they could all feel your anger. You took a step towards Tony, who took a step backwards in response. If it wasn't for the fact you were still wearing your suit and gloves, you knew you would be covered in flames from head to toe.

"Come on Y/N, it's just for one day." Tony pleaded.
"No Tony! If Loki..." You trailed off as Loki and Bucky stormed into the room.
"Please do finish that sentence my love." Loki growled as he stalked towards you. He had no idea what was going on, he hadn't even seen the sceptre sat on the side. His eyes trained directly on you as you tried to swallow the lump in your throat. "Shit." Was all you managed to squeak out.

Bucky came to Loki's side as they both reached where you were standing. You tried to stand tall but compared to them that was never going to happen. "Got something you want to tell us doll? Because this doesn't look like a meeting with your agent."
You knew you'd be in trouble when they found out but you'd hoped to tell them in bed where you could distract them. This wasn't part of your plan in the slightest.

"It..erm...finished early?" You batted your eyelashes trying to look as innocent as possible.
Bucky took a step closer to you, you knew he wouldn't hurt you but his need to protect you would currently overshadow anything you said. "No it didn't. Now start talking." He wrapped his arm around you and you tried to hide the pain radiating from your ribs as he did. "Happily, but not here. Loki you can't be here right now." You managed to talk through gritted teeth. You'd take your punishment from them but your main concern was getting Loki away from the sceptre.

Loki placed his hand on Bucky's arm moving it off your ribs. As much as you thought you'd hidden it well, he could tell you were in pain. "We're not going anywhere until you tell me why you're in pain."
Ignoring the throbs coming from the stitches Bruce had placed on your side, you wrapped your arms around his waist. "Can we not do this here? Please Loki." You all but begged. Loki could see by the look in your eyes how desperate you were to get him out of here. It was in that moment that Bucky saw the sceptre, he immediately stood next to you and Loki, keeping it from Loki's eyesight.

"She's right Lo. We need to go."
Loki looked to Bucky and nodded his head. Bucky turned to you, there was no hiding how pissed off he was with you. "Home. Now." He stormed off, pulling Loki with him.

Nat came to your side, a worried look across her face. "You going to be okay Sparrow?"
You nodded your head, breathing in deeply. "I'm not going to be sitting down anytime soon." You mumbled before walking after your boyfriends.
"I did not need to hear that!" Tony shouted after you, causing you to stop and turn to him.
"I don't care!" You looked over to Thor. "Get the glow stick of destiny out of here Thunder, please."
Thor nodded his head, he wouldn't let his brother be corrupted by it again.

"It'll be gone by the time you're back, I promise." Tony stated. You rolled your eyes, knowing there was no point in arguing about it any longer. You gave Tony a stern look, one he knew would result in physical harm if he went back on his word. He nodded in understanding and you went to find Loki and Bucky.

The car ride home was silent, that soon changed the second you walked into your living room.
"You promised you wouldn't do this again!" Bucky shouted at you. "You can't keep risking your life for this shit!"

"Are you going to let me speak at any point Bucky? Or is shouting really going to solve this?" You argued back, keeping your voice as calm as you could. When he just looked at you, you took that as your cue to explain things. You couldn't hide it any longer. "I didn't do this to anger you Buck. I did this because I had to." The tears began to build up as you remembered the threats from Sharon. "Sharon threatened to use it on you, to get you away from me. Yes I could've told you both about the mission, but then you would've insisted on coming too. I couldn't risk anything going wrong and one or both of you ending up under that control again." The tears you were holding back began streaming down your face. "I did this because I love you both so damn much and I can't lose either of you."
