The next day, after you'd finally managed to convince Bucky to let you out of your sight, you went to meet with Thor. The wind nipped at your skin, the air seemed eerily cold on the roof of the compound. You smiled when you saw Thor, he was sat in fairly normal looking clothes, an odd look for him but it suited him. The fire pit was lit and there was a blanket over the back of the chair next to Thor. You sat down next to him immediately pulling the blanket around you.
Thor explained his plan to you and you sat, thinking it over. "You really think it could work?" You looked over to him, a small smile spread across his face. "It's possible but it's risky."
You rolled your eyes at him, everything you did lately seemed to be risky. "And we can't take Bucky with us." You knew he was going to say that at some point, it was going to make what you were planning that much harder. With Loki in the cell, Bucky didn't like you being out of his sight, let alone somewhere he couldn't get to you at all."I have to at least try." Your voice betraying how much you didn't want to leave Bucky, yet it may be your only shot at getting Loki back. Thor watched you, concern for his friend written all over his face. He knew leaving would be hard for you but he also knew he wouldn't let anything happen to you. Hopefully Bucky would understand. "Go say goodbye to him. We will leave first thing."
You pull Thor into a quick hug, his warmth making you feel safe. The friendship between you two was growing quickly and was forming into something stronger than you'd ever felt before. He was your platonic soulmate and that made you happy, a simple friendship didn't describe what you felt when you were around him. You loved that oaf.

You knew when Bucky found out what you were planning that he would be mad but you hoped he'd understand, that didn't seem like it was going to happen when he started shouting at you. "You cannot be serious! Loki is locked in a cell and now you want to disappear? I can't lose you too!" His hands flew around, the angrier he got. You tried to keep as calm as you could but the more he shouted the more agitated you became.
"You think I want to do this? He is the last person in the universe that I want to see but he might have answers." You slumped on to the sofa as Bucky stood over you. "These answers won't help us get Loki back." He tried to reign in his anger as much as he could, he hated arguing with you, but when you started acting like it was up to you to fix everything, he couldn't help it. It pissed him off. "So don't pretend that's why you are doing this!"
You became fed up of him towering over you, you stood up and pushed him back slightly, warning him to give you some space. Which thankfully he did. "Why else would I be doing this Buck? Please oh wise one, tell me what possible reason I could have for doing this, other than getting back the man we love?"
He looked down at the floor before running his hands through his hair. "Because you're worried that you and me alone just isn't enough." His insecurity of never feeling like he was enough for you came pouring out of him.
Instantly your anger melted away and you walked up to him, placing you hands on his chest, your lips found his as you softly kissed him. "You couldn't be more wrong Buck." You grabbed his hands and pulled him down to sit with you on the sofa. You curled your feet underneath you, lacing your fingers through his. "Don't you ever think that the love I have for him is any different for the love I have for you." You watched as Bucky hung on to every word you said, listening as if it was the last time he was going to hear your voice. "You are enough for me. You will always be enough for me." He pulled you to him, resting his head on top of yours, blinking back tears. He'd watched the way your eyes had never left his, he couldn't doubt the words you'd told him, but he still struggled to accept what you'd told him.
Pulling back you looked into his beautiful blue eyes, the tears he was holding back started to escape down his cheek. You brushed them away and kissed the spot where they had fallen. "You will always be enough Buck. I promise you that, but I can't sit by and watch him suffer when there is a possibility that I can fix it."
