After you reached the safehouse you flopped down onto the sofa. You may not have used the safehouse in years but you made a mental note to thank your elderly neighbour for keeping it in good condition.
Loki sat down next to you, leaning back and crossing his ankle over his knee. "So darling, what exactly is your plan?"
You had thought about it a lot on your way over and although it didn't seem like the most diabolical plan it was one you knew would get under Bucky's skin the most.
"You know how I like to sing, how I always said it was something..."
"Too personal to share." Loki interrupts you with a smile. His arm stretched out on the back of the sofa, rubbing relaxing circles on your arm.
"Well I do believe it's time I changed that outlook. At his expense of course. You know as well as I do how much the media loves the Avengers. Imagine how they will react to the wife of one, singing about her heartbreak. Showing the world their heroes aren't so perfect after all."

Loki couldn't help but smile at you, your plan not so much evil but devious and cunning. Something he'd always admired about you.
"So you want to take away their spotlight?"
"Essentially yes. At his expense of course. I want him to regret what he did, more than he does now. I'm owed that." You said trying to keep your voice steady. Part of you reconsidering the whole thing. No matter how angry you were, you couldn't help but love that metal armed idiot.
"So as much as I appreciate the jailbreak and the distraction. How do I fit into all this?" Loki asked pulling you out of your thoughts, he didn't mean to pry but he'd listened to the tail end of them. Hearing you say you still love him, it made him want to tear up the world to make you happy.
"Well my dear Loki." You turned to him with a smile. "I thought you'd never ask. How do you feel about getting married?"
Loki looked at you in confusion. "I think you've forgotten I'm on the run and you're already married." A fact that had made him angry beyond belief the day Thor had told him.

You looked at him with a smirk, did he really not remember the life you had before you found your way to the Avengers? You weren't always the good guy, that bad streak still sat dormant inside. It was time to bring it out to play.
"Did you forget who I am Loki? Did you forget the fear I used to instil in others before I took their lives? You don't live a life like that, and on the run from S.H.I.E.L.D for 15 years and not make contacts in the right place."

The way you spoke sent shivers down Loki's spine. He remembered the day he'd seen you on the street. He'd read your mind, it was a blur of red mist. None of the thoughts were your own, he followed you for weeks afterwards, letting his magic flow over you whilst you slept, which was only an hour here and there. He was slowly removing the mind control they had over you. He would never forget the day he finally removed all traces. Your eyes had flung open as he pulled the last bit of red mist from your mind. Your eyes staring back at him. "It's about time you showed your face." That one statement and he knew he'd destroy worlds for you.

You watched as Loki became lost in his thoughts, when he came back he looked at you with the look you knew all too well.
He was impressed. "I've never wanted you as much as I do right now darling."
You rolled your eyes at him, you couldn't deny the fact you still found him as attractive as you did the day you'd met but the heartbreak you'd felt over leaving Bucky was still too much.
"In your dreams Laufeyson. Now stand up and stand still."

The urge to take you over his knee for telling him what to do almost stopped him in his tracks, but he knew he needed to take his time with you. He'd have you again. He stood, giving you a look you knew all too well.
You brought your magic to the tips of your fingers the blue glow surrounding your hands. Where his Asgardian armour once sat, was now replaced with a perfectly tailored black suit. You sat back admiring your work.

Damn he looks good.

It was a thought that didn't go unnoticed by Loki. He realised you were trying to change his appearance, making it safer for him. He shook his head as a green shimmer flooded over him. Suddenly he had short styled mousey brown hair, slicked back. He looked the part you needed him to play.

"Happy?" Loki turned to you with a smile

"Happy?" Loki turned to you with a smile. The desire clear as day in your eyes.
"Perfect. Now come on, we have a meeting to get to."

You both walked into the tall office building. Walking up to the receptionist she gave you a look, like you didn't belong. She wasn't wrong your skinny jeans, leather jacket and Rolling Stones T-shirt wasn't exactly in keeping with the sleek stylish building. You watched her gaze drift over to Loki, who had his hand resting on the small of your back, keeping an eye on people around. Protecting you just came as second nature to him.

You walked up to the woman whose eyes were clouded with lust at Loki. "I need to see H."
She looked back at you, the obvious disdain on her face.
"Do you have an appointment?" She sneered at you.
"I don't need one."
"He's booked up all day, you'll need to make an appointment."

You leant on her desk, leaning over to her. "Sweetie, if you don't let him know I'm here, I can guarantee you'll be out on the streets by the end of the day."
You noticed the fear flash across her face. You couldn't help but smile, yeah you hadn't lost that edge. Something Loki smiled at, the woman he loved was still in there.

With shaky hands you watched her pick up the phone. "Sorry Sir. There's someone here to see you, she says she doesn't need an appointment. I told her it wasn't possible..."
You watched her face pale as a raised voice the other end of the phone started talking to her. Running out of patience you took the phone from her.
"H. Darling, it's me." You practically purred down the phone. You knew he'd be smiling into the phone at your voice, it was hardly the first time you'd seen him on short notice.
"Well well well, if it isn't my little Avenger. Tell Suzie to send you up, and stop scaring my staff."
You couldn't help but smile placing the phone down.
"I'll be going now." You smiled at Suzie as she passed you a key card for the private elevator.

The second the doors shut Loki turned to you. "Is it wrong that I want to pin you up against this wall and have my way with you. That was quite the performance darling." He purred in your ear.
You pushed him back slightly. "Behave Loki, I'm still a married woman right now."
He growled at you, jealousy flooding every cell in his body.
"Well let's go and rectify that shall we?"

Bucky was pacing around the Avengers Tower, he had tried to find you and Loki. You had disappeared without a trace, just like Tony said you would.
"You can't be serious.." Sam was talking to Tony, it was then his phone lit up with a message from your lawyer.
"Sam." He grabbed his friends attention from the trivial argument he was having.
"What?" Sam turned and saw the way Bucky's face had dropped.
"Apparently I'm divorced." Bucky stood trying to figure out how you had managed that without him signing anything, and only a matter of hours after you'd left too.
"How is that possible?" Sam asked, wondering the same thing as Bucky.
"I don't know." Bucky was trying to hide the heartbreak in his voice. You'd really divorced him, just like that the love of his life was gone.
"Does it say where she is at least?"
Bucky couldn't take his eyes off his phone. As he reached the bottom of the message he saw the note at the end.
"No but she's left me a message. If I go near her again, I'll lose the other arm." Bucky couldn't hold in the anger any longer and he threw his phone against the wall.
"Hey." Sam got his attention. "She's just upset Buck. You two are made for each other, you'll find a way."

Bucky shook his head, you'd been angry at him in the past. Even before that night, you two would argue but you always made up in the most spectacular way afterwards.
"I've never seen her this angry before. I'm not sure there is a way back from this." He hung his head in defeat, he never knew a drunken kiss would destroy his life this much.
