I missed you

Nervous didn't even cover how you were feeling right now. You listened as Jimmy thanked the previous artist for their time. He looked over at you, casting you a smile before he introduced you on to the stage.

Wiping your sweaty palms on your jeans, you walked on to the stage. The roars from the crowd pumping you full of adrenaline. Stepping into the spotlight, the start of your new song began playing in the background. Within moments you were lost in the music, forgetting all the pain and stress of the last few weeks as you poured your heart and soul into the performance.

"And all the kids cried out,
Please stop you're scaring me.

I can't help this awful energy,
Goddamn right, you should be scared of me,
Who is in control?"

You didn't miss a beat the whole way through, and by the time you were finished, you were coated in a layer of sweat. Happier than you'd been in a long time. You walked off the stage and jumped into Thor's arms with a smile. He caught you easily, laughing at your excitement. "That was amazing Matchstick, I'm proud of you." He smiled down at you.

You barely had enough time to change before you were being dragged back on to the stage. Sitting down Jimmy turned to you, his childlike excitement flowing through him.
"So it's been a long time since anyone has seen you perform. How does it feel to be back?"

"Yes, a lot has happened since then, but performing will always be something that I love."

"So can we expect a new album any time soon?"

You thought about it, was singing something you wanted to pursue full time? The answer was quite simply no. Not anymore. "As much as I love to perform, the touring for months on end just isn't something I want anymore."

Jimmy nodded in understanding. "Our sources tell us you're back with the Avengers now. Is that where your passion lies?"

"Definitely." You didn't hesitate, which surprised you. "Taking down the bad guys is something I love to do and I get to do it with the men I love." The thought of seeing Loki and Bucky again, had you all but bouncing in your seat. You knew they'd be searching for you, especially after seeing you on TV but the undisclosed location of the make shift studio had you hidden still, just for now.

Jimmy went on to ask you about the Avenger's nicknames and what you thought yours would be. You thought about it for a moment, Thor had plenty of nicknames for you but thinking of one for yourself was a bit more difficult. "Hmmm...Firefly." You smiled at him. Explaining how your powers could quite literally make you fly. In typical Jimmy fashion he all but begged you to show him, causing you to laugh along with him. "Unless you want this studio to become engulfed in flames I'm going to say no. I do promise to send you footage of it though."

A mischievous grin flashed over his face. "Speaking of footage. Take a look at this." He gestured towards the large TV screen to the side of the stage.

Loki and Bucky sat smiling at the camera, you couldn't help but smile back. "Hey doll, we did plan on being there to surprise you tonight." Your gaze flicked to Jimmy who shrugged his shoulders at you. Making it obvious that Loki and Bucky were more than aware of where you currently were. Your attention became glued back to the screen as Bucky carried on talking. "But we figured crying on TV wouldn't be the best end to your amazing performance." You quickly wiped away the tear that fell.

"And by 'we' he means he decided." Loki nudged Bucky, both of them letting out a small laugh.

Bucky seemed to shift uncomfortably for a moment before he looked at the camera, a slight blush grazing his cheeks. You knew it was to do with the fact that Loki's hand was on his thigh. No one would notice but you knew their body language all too well. "Thanks for that. We just wanted to tell you how proud we are of you." Bucky struggled to find his voice.
