Walking into the compound the next morning, you found Tony pacing round his lab.
"Okay, what is so important that it couldn't wait?" You knew him well enough to know he'd only pester you like this over something important. What you didn't expect was for him to pull you into a hug. It took you a moment to actually hug him back. Shock basically freezing you in place. As you wrapped your arms around him you let out a small laugh. "We hug now?"
His arms gripped you tighter. "Yeah we do."
You'd missed him, more than you cared to admit. He was your big brother, as much as he was a pain in your ass, you couldn't help but love him. "I missed you too douchebag." You felt him laugh as he pulled away.

He cleared his throat, scratching at the back of his neck. "So. We need to talk."
Your mouth went dry as you watched him become all serious. "What's going on in that big brain of yours Tony?"
Walking over to his computer he tapped on the screen twice. The footage of Bucky killing your parents played across the screen.
"H-How did you find out?" You turned from both him and the screen, unable to look at it.

"He told me." Of all the responses you expected, that wasn't one of them. Leaning against the workbench you turned to him. "It wasn't his fault." You defending Bucky seemed to cause something to snap in Tony, his whole demeanour changed. "Do you even remember them? Because I do." He snapped at you, causing you to flinch slightly. He noticed and softened his voice. "I remember how they sang to you every single night. How devastated our father was when you were taken. And all you can say is 'it wasn't him'."

Hearing him talking about your parents in that way was breaking your heart. He had no idea how painful it was to know you had people that loved you and remember very little about them. Then to blame the one that put you back together. It was too much. "Stop!" You snapped back, your hands gripping on to the bench underneath you painfully tight. "You have no idea what it's like to have your choices taken away from you! To be a fucking pawn in someone else's game!" You didn't even try to hold back the tears that fell. "Don't sit there and judge him for something that isn't his fault." You couldn't let him blame Bucky for the lives he'd taken, because if Bucky was to blame, then so were you. Your hands were hardly clean and the only way you were able to cope with it was with the knowledge it wasn't your fault.

Tony at least had the decency to look to the floor as he watched you fall apart. There was only one way this conversation was ending and it wasn't how you wanted it to. "Every time I think we're close to being the brother and sister I want us to be, you go and pull shit like this." First it was the sceptre, then Vision and now this. It was a never ending cycle of him failing to take into account how his actions and words affected others. Pushing off the bench you wiped the tears from your eyes. "I love you Tony, I really do but I can't do this anymore."

When he didn't fight for you or try to apologise you could feel your magic begging to come out. With a scream you let out a green blast of energy from both hands. Storming out of the lab you headed for the elevator, tears blurring your vision as you ran. So much so that you ran straight into Thor. His arms steadying you, making sure you didn't fall. He noticed the tears straight away.

"Matchstick? What's wrong?" His voice laced with concern.

"My brother is a fucking idiot and I'm done Thunder. I'm leaving and I don't think I'm coming back."

The anger poured off him in waves. "Where is he?"

"I left him in the lab, but wait." You grabbed his arm before he could storm off. He immediately stopped. "Can you take me home? I need to get out of here."

"Of course I can." He placed a kiss to your head before taking you back to Bucky and Loki, who were waiting with open arms for you.
