"The last time you spoke to him, you ended up on Asgard." Tony wanted you nowhere near Loki, not after the way you disappeared last time. You stood with your hands on your hips, you'd told everyone the plan for getting Loki back. Tony seemed to be the only one with a problem, at least he was the only one bitching about it anyway. Bucky wasn't happy about it but he understood your need to get Loki back.
"While I appreciate you looking out for me Tony. I wasn't asking for permission." Sometimes he seemed to forget you weren't a tiny kid that needed his protection anymore.
"Sorry Y/N, but it's not happening."
You clenched your fists at your side, not even bothering to reply to him. You turned to Bucky and gave him a soft kiss before heading to the door. You looked back at Tony before you left. "Like I said. I wasn't asking."
You could hear Tony and Bucky arguing as you walked down the hallway. You couldn't help but smile when you heard Bucky shout. "No I'm not okay with it, but it's her decision Tony so back off!"
Knowing Bucky supported you, he didn't agree with you but he supported you, that was all you needed to get through this next bit.As the doors opened on the cell, a shiver ran down your spine, you remembered what happened last time you were here. You were pulled from your memories by Loki's voice. "Back from your little adventure already?"
You hoped he knew about that because of his talk with Bucky and not because he was watching you.You straightened your spine as you walked up to the cell door. "Last chance to leave his mind, before I make you."
You watched Loki saunter towards you, a smirk across his lips. "Oh my mind is my own darling. He left a while ago."
The idea that this was really Loki looking back at you had your stomach churning. You refused to believe him, it couldn't be Loki, he'd never be this cold towards you, he couldn't. "I don't believe you." You were thankful that your voice came out as strong as it did. You didn't want him to sense how scared you were."Is this not who caught your attention all them years ago?" He gestured to himself. "The villain."
You smiled. This wasn't Loki, you knew that for certain. Walking up to the cell you crossed your arms and a smirk that mirrored his own appeared on your face. "You see Thanos." You spit the name at him. "That was your first mistake. Loki has never thought of himself as a villain. Even before you found him, he was never a villain and he never will be." You stood your ground feeling your confidence growing. A plan of how to get him out of Loki forming in your mind.
He smiled but it wasn't a mocking smile, it was one of almost pride. "Impressive."
"Oh you have no idea how impressive I can be." You took a step closer. "But you will."
His face faltered for just a second, enough for you to see that he was worried. He sat down and looked over at you, an expression you couldn't read crossed his face. "I know only too well. Why do you think I chose him?"
You swallowed down the guilt, for now. The idea that this had happened to Loki because of his connection to you had you feeling sick, but you had one thing to focus on right now and that was getting back the man you loved. Refusing to acknowledge what he was telling you, your hand hovered over the control panel for his cell door. "Last chance to let him go.""Come and get him my little witch. Let's see how far you get." He taunted you, hoping to lure you into a mistake. He nearly succeeded until you heard Bucky over your earpiece. "Doll. Remember why you're there. Bring him home." You nodded your head at the camera knowing he was watching you. You pressed the button and the door opened. Stepping inside he sat still, watching you with that smile that turned your stomach.
