Lin sashayed into the diner. She always walked as if she owned the world. It was her style. "Ten hours of sleep; check, long bubble bath; check", she started, "amazing outfit; double check. I'm so glad that part is done". "It's about time they placed you on the wanted list for being overdramatic". Jo chuckled. "I'll toast to that any day". Angie supported.

"How's your Mom?" Mitchell asked Jo. Jo gave a small smile and said, "she's healing. I did my best and your Mom has been a great company". "That's good to hear". Mitchell nodded. "We're just glad that we'll all alive". Lin said sipping out of her coffee. "Yeah. We're all alive". Angie said sadly. Mitchell placed a hand on Angie's and whispered, "we'll find her and we'll stop her".

"How? She could be anywhere in Bresten". Angie sighed.

"And that's a good thing. We can always find her". Jo added.

"Jo's right. We can try tracking her things". Lin suggested.

"Thanks guys but I'm mostly worried about deaths. She has a thing for leaving a dead body everyday". Angie sneered. "Speaking of dead bodies", Lin twisted her fingers, "I called Maggie Pitters. She should be here anytime soon". "What the hell?! Why would you invite that witch over here?" Jo shouted. "I told her to do so", Angie confessed, "from the former pattern, we know she was going after the people that she knew. Celine was in the picture. We can't be sure if they were friends or foe".

Jo wasn't happy with it but she understood why it had to be done. "I'm coming back". Lin said as she stood up. "Why aren't you coming in?" She challenged Maggie immediately she saw her. "Look here... I don't know why you called me to come to this dump but it had better be quick". Maggie crossed her hands. "You had better drop that fake attitude at the door", Lin warned, "we have all been through hell in the past week and our patience is very thin". Maggie was shocked but she rolled her eyes and replied, "whatever". "We clear?" Lin asked sternly. "Okay! Fine! I heard you". Lin smiled and led her in.

Jo greeted her with a glare. Maggie hugged her purse. Surprisingly, Jo looked very intimidating. "Maggie". "Angie". They said to the other before Maggie sat beside Lin. "Before anything, I'm sorry about Felicity". Maggie said avoiding eye contact. "Thanks. That's actually why we called you here", Angie started, "did you hear about the other people who died?" "Of course. Yalis, the nerd guy, Mr. Grough, Dorathy, that saleswoman and some others I can't remember. Why are you asking?"

"Do you really think that it was an animal attack?"

"I don't get your point".

"Maggie, those deaths including Felicity's was planned. There's a list". Maggie's stomach started twisting in knots. Mitchell noticed the sweat on her head and the shivering. "You know something, don't you?" Mitchell directed at her. Lin, Jo and Angie followed Mitchell's gaze and noticed it too.

Maggie gulped. "I-I don't know what you're talking about". She stuttered. "Maggie, you can tell us what happened", Jo softened her tone, "we can protect you". "I never came here and I never said anything". She bolted out of the door before any of them could react. "She definitely knows something", Angie stroked her chin, "and we have to find out what".

Lin's phone vibrated. It was a text from Maggie. "I don't know who is watching, let's talk in private". Lin read it out loud. "Okay. She definitely definitely knows something". Jo said. "We have to make her trust us and we need to keep an eye on her", Angie stated, "if only one of us lived closer to her". "I can always do the checking. She trusts me and her mom wouldn't be suspicious of why I came". Lin quipped.

Angie suddenly remembered the meeting they all had at Felicity's house. "I wouldn't be so sure if I were you", Angie said, "your mom did something to them when they were younger. I don't even think they've settled it". "That can't stop me. I can always say I didn't know about the beef. It's not like my Mom tells me anything anyways". Lin blurted. Mitchell as usual took a hint of her tone.

They talked for a while and it was time to go. "I'm gonna check on Daniel. I'll find out if he has seen anything". Angie said. "You're getting real close to him". Jo pointed out. "He is my uncle after all and I think the magic is forming a kind of bond between us". Angie shrugged. "A bond that it didn't form with your own mother? I think there's another reason behind it". Angie brushed of the statement. There obviously wasn't any other reason why she felt drawn to Daniel.

Mitchell and Lin walked together. "That was the first time you showed a little emotion". Mitchell said out of the blue. "What? I always say how I'm feeling". Lin denied. "You don't. To be honest, you generally avoid it. Then try to cover up with drama". Lin stopped walking. "Please Mitchell, don't try to decode me", she said harshly, "I have never asked for help". "That doesn't mean you don't need it!" Mitchell called after her as she walked away.

Mitchell shook her head and went home. She heard giggling from the inside. Who could momma be laughing with at this time? And shouldn't she be in the hospital? She thought. She opened the door and got the biggest surprise of her life. "Oh Avery. Welcome". Tatiana quickly stood up from the couch. They looked like they were sharing a cup of coffee. "Mr Donners?"

"I'm home!" Lin said as she closed the front door. She was welcomed with silence. "Mom?" She called out. She eyed the painting that hung on the wall of the kitchen. Its replicas where hung everywhere around the house. She used her hand to trace the symbols. The symbols that will ruin her life forever.

"Mom!" She yelled again. Kimberly came into the room with the usual grim look on her face. "Don't you have school?" Her mother asked. "Shouldn't you ask if I have eaten first?" Lin sassed back. "Insolent child! I wonder why you would choose to come here in the day". Kimberly scolded.

"I'm not staying long. I have to go meet a friend".

"You had better".

"But first of all do you know Celine Pitters? She was formerly Celine Yaman". All the blood drained from Kimberly's face. She cleared her throat and said, "she's the wife of the mayor. Why?" Lin shook her head, "I thought for the first time you would actually tell me something", she said, "oh well...it doesn't matter. I'm going over to theirs right now".

Kimberly grabbed her daughter's hand, "please don't go", she pleaded, "we have a past. That's all. Don't associate with her". "Look at who is talking about association", Lin frowned and pointed at the scar her hair covered, "this is one of the many results of your connection".

She yanked her hand and walked out. She stood on the front porch for minutes trying to gather herself before heading to meet Maggie.
