She knew it was a dream or a trance. She was back in that white room. "Good to see you again". It was Mr Dhawnren. She floated forward and hugged him. "Well, I didn't not get that kind of greeting last time". Maggie joined them. "Good to see you too". Angie chuckled."Angie Skewer". The wind hissed. Angie just smiled. Her smile quickly turned to a frown. "When I was here, it wasn't like this", she said, "am I dead?" "Hovering. Unconscious. Fainted". John replied. "That's a relief", she sighed, "my soul brought me here for a reason".
"Angie, you have dangled in time for far too long". Maggie informed. Angie didn't understand it so she asked, "there is another imbalance?" "That is not what she meant", John quipped, "your purpose, Angela. What is it?" Angie felt her heart pound. She debated the question in her mind.
The white walls around her suddenly started crumbling. "Answer!" The wind demanded. Angie was falling as she screamed, "I don't know".
"Wakey wakey". She heard before she forced her eyes open. She groaned from the head wound. "Finally! Are you such a deep sleeper?" The girl laughed. Angie wanted to wipe that smile off her face but her hands were tied behind her back. "You're only making me angry". Angie spat angrily. She recalled that a werewolf was in danger and she never got a chance to help.
"Oh please!" The girl rolled her eyes, "you're not getting out soon and when I tell you what my deal is with you, you wouldn't even want to leave that chair". Angie cursed under her breath and glared daggers at the girl. The staring contest was broken by the honk of a car. "Great! She's here!" The girl cheered, "the real fun can begin".
Veronica, Lin and Levi were able to bring Grayson to the house. "Kids!" Candice had greeted them. They were surprised to see Ellen there but the question could wait. Candice put Grayson in bed. She partially understood the paleness of his skin and that scared her. Something or someone was messing with their mate bond.
Veronica stayed by Grayson's bedside till morning. While every other kid in town was ecstatic for the first day of school, Veronica was half awake. "Go to bed honey", Candice brought a tray of food, "I already called the principal. Please, have some rest. I can take care of him". Veronica only obeyed because she was too tired to argue.
Candice kissed her son's head. "I wish you were here, Rex". She whispered as she wiped her tears. It was true that she knew the risk of marrying Rex but this was a lot. She had already lost the love of her life. She couldn't lose her son too. So for the first time, Candice let herself feel fear and cry over it.
Mike wasn't surprised when Angie didn't show up. He didn't blame her though. His reaction wasn't the best one but he was justified. The information was too much to process. "Morning Dad". Mike greeted as he climbed a chair to reach the cupboards. Connor said no word to him but walked out. "That's the least shocking thing I've seen so..." He shrugged to himself.
Connor knocked on the door. "What are you doing here?" Tatiana asked as she locked the door behind her. She had just put Lashana to bed and Celine and Irene were talking with Mitchell who had been crying all night. Her emotions were making her magic break stuff in the house.
"I always knew something was fishy about what happened between you and Nolan but I never knew how serious it was", Connor said angrily, "and before you try to deny it, I heard Angie talking with Mike. I haven't wrapped my head around her being the daughter of Nolan's twin brother that I can't recall. Apparently, it's all tied together".
Tatiana looked at both sides. Her neighbors could be nosy at times. "This is not a discussion for the public". She lowered her voice. "I am not stepping inside that house". Connor said firmly. Tatiana sighed, "you're making a scene", she said, "I'm tryna explain everything and you're not giving me a chance". "I gave you a chance! But you looked dead in the eyes and lied!"
"I was trying to protect you! She could have killed you. I didn't want that".
"And you think staying in a marriage against my will was better?"
"Yes, Connor! It was. You lived, had kids, got a good job..." "And you lost everything", he cut her short, "we were supposed to have the perfect love story but you let someone take that away from us". Tatiana stayed silent. "Just tell me one thing", Connor softened his tone, "did you fight for us?" "Of course, I did", Tatiana replied sharply, "I loved you. I still do".
That was more than enough for Connor. He pulled Tatiana closer to him and joined their lips. It was a mixture of emotions and timelines. Connor pulled away first and said, "as from now on, no secrets". "No secrets". She confirmed and hugged him.
Angie hated the clank of the heels. "If it isn't the infamous Angie Donners", the woman said, "Lyon says hi by the way". The woman was of average height. Her hair was a silverly blonde. She was dressed in a black dress coupled with a white fur coat and stilettos. Angie rolled her eyes. The woman looked like she came out of a cliché movie.
The woman removed the huge dtak shades from her eyes. Angie instantly picked up something. The sharp brown eyes were similar to the girl's. The woman's cocky smile dropped as she view Angie's face clearly. The woman was shocked. The way those hazel eyes stared into hers was nerve racking. She could identify those eyes anywhere.
"Mom?" The girl nudged her the woman. Angie was irritated. She had no clue what this mother daughter duo wanted with her or the magic. "You have your father's eyes". The woman finally spoke up. Angie got angrier at that statement. "You don't know me". Angie spat.
The woman's next words shocked even Angie. "Untie her". She ordered the girl. The girl gave her Mom a face. "Untie her, Ashley!" Ashley furrowed her eyebrows and stretched her hands towards the chains. Angie jumped out of the chair. "Where is he?" The woman asked, "I know what I read in the papers but I know it's a lie. Where is Daniel?"
Angie was pissed. Who did this woman think she was? She sent her psycho daughter to kidnap her and now she was asking about her dad? Angie crossed her arms, "look, I don't know what your game is", she started slowly, "and I don't care. I have important things to get back to".
The woman knelt down in front of Angie. "She came to the hospital that day", the woman spurted, "she killed you in front of my eyes. I couldn't bare it. I had to leave". "Mom, what are you doing?" Ashley was confused, "this is about our revenge on Nolan". Angie chuckled and said, "if it's Nolan you want, you're a month and weeks late. She's dead".
Angie was about to walk out when the woman held her arm. "I am so sorry, Angie", she was crying now, "if I had know Nolan didn't kill you, I would have stayed. I didn't abandon you". Angie frowned. The words were starting to align. She took a deep breath and asked a question, "are you Denise Harper?" "Don't you dare call my mom's name like that!" Ashley shouted.
Angie had gotten her answer. She snatched her hand back and stormed off. Ashley ran after her. "Hey! Get back here! I am not finished with the you!" The girl screamed. Angie was fed up. She turned around and the red sparks sent Ashley flying into the wall. "That's for hitting me, you little bitch". She snarled and left.
Ashley forced herself to stand up. "What was that about, Mom?!" She yelled at Denise. Denise clenched her fists, "that was her, Ashley", she muttered, "that's your sister".
