I have liked this guy called Baekgyeul for a while. We have known each other a couple of years and have always got on well. He keeps on asking me out and to be his girlfriend but I keep on saying no. I have never had a boyfriend so I'm a bit scared of love and trusting guys. I've had crushes on guys before and they haven't liked me back. Baekgyeul is the first guy to like me a lot and ask me out so maybe I am nervous and holding back from him. Friends of mine have had their hearts broken by guys before. Some of them told me not to trust guys. I'm also afraid that I won't be a good girlfriend to Baekgyeul or any other guy. Baekgyeul told me there is nothing to worry about and that I should trust him and learn to love. I am a girl who's never had a boyfriend before so I'm kinda terrified of love in a way. I have never been in love before so it's kinda daunting. Sometimes Baekgyeul won't leave me alone. I tell him that I don't want to be his girlfriend so he should respect that. I am in my bedroom watching a show on Netflix when messages keep on popping up on my phone from Baekgyeul. He keeps on trying to flatter me and I keep on blushing. I can't reply with anything. Maybe I should give him a chance and I'll fall for him. I'm still undecided. Baekgyeul is a very sweet guy though. I don't know yet. I carry on looking at the messages and blushing and thinking of something to reply with. I eventually reply later and we have a cute and flirty conversation

A few days later and Baekgyeul and I are hanging out today. We are going to a street food festival in town which we are looking forward to going to as we are both foodies and love food so it's just our thing. We booked tickets to get in as it might be busy. I am on my way to meet him there now. The food festival has already started but you can go in at anytime. Baekgyeul is on his way and we are meeting at an arranged meeting spot. I arrive on time and Baekgyeul arrives a few minutes later. "Hey, Y/ N" he said. "Hi, Baek" I say. We hug and go and look around the street food festival. The aroma of food was drifting up my nostrils and making my tummy rumble. Baekgyeul could hear my tummy rumbling. "I can tell you're hungry" he said. "Can you. You shouldn't be listening" I laugh. "It's hard not to" he laughs. "Shut up" I laugh hitting him gently. "Yooooooo chill" Baekgyeul said. I laugh at him. He's kinda silly sometimes. Anyway we walk around the street food festival and we get something to eat. The food looked so good. Hard to resist. Definitely hard to resist. We both got something to eat and found somewhere to sit and eat it. Baekgyeul looks over me as I'm eating. I don't like people looking at me while I'm eating. It puts me off and makes me nervous. He giggles at me and I blush. "Sorry am I distracting you" Baekgyeul said. "A bit but it's okay" I reply. "Sorry I'll stop and concentrate on myself" he said. He looks the other way for a few minutes. We finished eating shortly aster. "Well that was good" I say. "Yes it was very nice" he replies. "Have we got much more left to see" I say. "I don't know" Baekgyeul said. There then was an awkward silence between us for a second. "Y/ N, you are looking very pretty today" he said. "Am I?" I reply. "Yes as always you are. Am I making you blush?" he said. "Yeah a bit" I smile. "Y/ N, you know my feelings for you. It breaks my heart that you keep on turning me down because we could be really great for each other" Baekgyeul said. "I know but you understand what I said. Baekgyeul, I like you but I'm not ready for one yet. Please respect that" I say. "I do" he said. "But I always feel like you bring it up when we are together. Sometimes people just need space. Okay" I say. "Yes I know. We all need our space but I can't let my feelings go for you, Y/ N. They are too deep" he said. "I don't want to argue in public, Baek. I think we should go to our own homes" I say. "Okay whatever you want" Baekgyeul said. We leave our own separate ways. He knows that I'm not ready for a relationship yet and he should back off sometimes and give me space and time. I know he doesn't mean any harm

Baekgyeul and I haven't spoke much in the last few weeks since the street food festival. Maybe he's thinking about things or maybe he's seeing someone else instead. Maybe I've been thinking about him a bit. I don't know if I'm ready for love yet. Maybe Baekgyeul is the guy for me. It did kinda annoy me when he kept on asking me to be his girlfriend. I keep on saying no and that I'm not ready yet. I am sat the mall this afternoon looking for an outfit for a function i am going to at the weekend. I only have three days to find an outfit so hopefully I'll get one today. I have been in two shops at the moment and not found anything.  I'm pretty particular with what I like. I look in another store and see a couple of outfits I like. I try them on first before making a decision. I liked both outfits so I struggled to make a decision. I exit the fitting room. I see Baekgyeul walk in the store with another guy. I try to hide. "Y/ N, hi" he said. "Oh hi, Baekgyeul. I didn't see you there" I say. "Buying some clothes I see" he said. "Just an outfit for something I'm going to. Can't decide which one though" I say. "I'm sure both of them look great on you. Oh this is my friend Romin. My good friend" Baekgyeul said. "Hey" I say. "Hi" Romin smiles. "You can help me choose an outfit" I say. "Sure" Baekgyeul smiles. He likes both and can't choose like me. He says the second one in the end so I go with that one. "Finally sorted now. I was worried I wasn't going to get fixed up" I say. "Well
you have now" Baekgyeul smiles. We walk around the mall together. Romin was with us but he goes to the bathroom. "Y/ N, listen. I think we should have a new start with each other and forget about things. I'm sorry I know you're not ready to be my girlfriend yet and I do understand that" Baekgyeul said. "Okay but I'm not mad at you anymore. Not like I was. It was actually good bumping into you today" I smile. "Yes it was good bumping into you too and helping you choose an outfit for this thing you are going to" he said. "Yeah it was fun" I reply. "Oh and Y/ N let me know when you're ready. Take your time. I realise that I was wrong by nagging you" Baekgyeul said. I smile at him as I walk away. I will let Baekgyeul know when I'm ready to be his girlfriend

Sometime later and Baekgyeul and I are closer than ever but still not boyfriend and girlfriend yet. Maybe soon as I'm catching feelings for him more and I think he could be the one for me and I could be the one for him. He is over at my place today and we are having a barbecue and party with my family to celebrate my sisters graduation from university. My family recently got to know Baekgyeul so they wanted to have him over for the event. Barbecues are a family tradition of mine when something like a graduation or achievement happens. We are sat outside on the patio and my dad and uncle are barbecuing as we speak. My cousins think Baekgyeul is my boyfriend and keep on teasing me about it. They really think he is.     Anyway we eat soon when everything was on the barbecue. Barbecued Korean ribs are my favourite. It's all I wanna eat is that because it's so good, tasty and delicious. Love barbecued ribs. My dad puts spring onions on which makes them extra nice. "Do you like it?" I say to Baekgyeul as he takes a bite of his. "Yeah it's so good. I love it" he replies. "Thank my dad" I giggle. He smiles at me. We enjoy a bit more food and drinks at my sisters graduation party. Baekgyeul stayed for all of it till the party had finished for the evening. I walk outside with him to his car. "Well that was fun, Y/ N. Thanks for having me" Baekgyeul said. "No problem, you don't have to thank me" I say. "Best bit was the ribs of course" he said. "Yeah of course" I reply. Then I hesitate what to say. "Baekgyeul, I've been thinking a lot lately. I should be your girlfriend and you should be my boyfriend. You have met my family now and they think we should be together. I do now. Sorry for being too blind and stupid before" I say. "Y/ N, are you sure about this. Are you ready for us to become a couple? Baekgyeul's face drops. "Yes I am. Let's do this" I say. He smiles and says "The one I've been waiting for, Y/ N" before pulling me in for a kiss. So that means that Baekgyeul and I are now together
