I have had a lot of platonic male friends in my life but I have never had a boyfriend and I'm 21 years old. I have known this guy called Choi Byeongseop since high school. We went to the same high school. Hanlim Multi Arts School. Lots of other Kpop stars have gradated from there. I knew a lot of them while I was there. Byeongseop and I lost touch recently due to his busy schedule in the group TEMPEST. My best friend is Joowon aka JooE from MOMOLAND. We have been best friends since graduating Hanlim. I wish I was a beautiful and as talented as she is. She is always there for me no matter what. No guys haven't ever liked me in that way. Only as a friend. I have wanted guys to like me before but I've never had the confidence or beauty of girls like Joowon. I just want to be prettier and more confident. Guys have only ever liked me as a friend as I'm friendly and outgoing as they say. Maybe I need more confidence in myself. I'm meeting Joowon today at the park. She has been in the dance studio with the girls but she is done now for the day. I walk to the park to meet her as it's not too far from where I live myself. She has to catch a ride to get there. I sit and wait in the park for Joowon. She is on her way but said she was running a few minutes late. I sit on the bench and wait. I look up and a guy sits next to me. I notice the guy was Byeongseop. "Hi, Y/ N. What's up?" he said. "Hi, Byeongseop. You know just waiting for Joowon to show up" I reply. "Cool. You meeting her" he said. "Yes I am. She's my best friend" I laugh. "Yes that's right" he said. Byeongseop and I sit on the bench and talk while I wait for Joowon. I keep on checking my phone for updates from her but nothing yet. She is running late but it was okay as I was talking to Byeongseop who I bumped into

Joowon arrives about 15 minutes later at the park. She couldn't find me at first when she arrived but she found me in the end when she walked around. "Hey, girl. Hey, Byeongseop" Joowon said. "Hey, bestie" I say. "Hi, Joowon. Long time no see" Byeongseop said. "I know right" she replies. Joowon sits on the bench in between us. Maybe she thinks there is something between us or that I asked Byeongseop to come here the same time as us. He didn't stay that long but he stayed a while to talk to us then he left. "So right, girls. I'll see you round" he said. "Bye. See ya" Joowon said. "Bye" I smile and Byeongseop smiles at me too. "So tell me about you and Byeongseop? I know there is something going on between you" Joowon said. "No there is nothing to tell you because there is nothing going on between us. You got it wrong, bestie" I reply. "Y/ N, I know when two people like each other and you do too" she said. "Nah. He's just a mate, Joowon like every other guy I have ever met. Nothing between us and there never will be" I say. "We'll see about that, Y/ N" Joowon smirks. She doesn't stop teasing me about this but I tell her there is nothing between us. Joowon doesn't stop teasing me about it but I guess that's just her and her way of messing and teasing me as my best friend. Joowon and I walk through the park for a while. She eventually stops teasing me and we enjoy sometime together. It was kind of a weird coincidence that I bumped into Byeongseop in the park before Joowon arrived. I secretly hope to see him again soon

Byeongseop and I have bumped into each other a couple of times since bumping into each other at the park. I have told Joowon that I might have a crush on him but I don't know yet. She is still teasing me about it but that's just her. It's the way she messes with me as her best friend. That's why she is my best friend. Joowon said she'll try and help me with Byeongseop. I don't want to try too hard with him that I will put him off. I think I like him but I'm not sure. Byeongseop wants to meet me tonight. He says he wants to take me somewhere tonight so he's coming to pick me up in a couple of hours. I've just arrived to see Joowon before I see Byeongseop. I don't know him very well and I'm already going out with him but I wouldn't quite say it's a date just yet. Just hanging out as friends most likely. Joowon said she's taking me somewhere before I go out with Byeongseop. "So where are you taking me? Why won't you tell me?" I say. "Because we will be there soon. We won't have to wait much longer" Joowon said. We arrived outside a salon. "I'm going to give you a makeover for when you go out with Byeongseop tonight. Not myself but my amazing team will give you a makeover" Joowon said. "Okay" I smile. We go into the salon and I get my nails done first, then my hair and makeup. I don't know how I feel about looking different and being made over but I just let Joowon do it. I can see her smirking as she's talking to the stylists. I think Joowon is almost setting me up on a date with Byeongseop. After nearly two hours, I was all done. "Wow! Y/ N you look stunning. I don't even recognise you right now, girl" Joowon said. "Well I do look different. I don't even recognise me myself" I reply. "Well Byeongseop is waiting for you, love" Joowon said. "Joowon, just admit that you are setting us up" I say. She smirks. I know when she's acting like this, she's up to something. Joowon pushes me outside and there Byeongseop was waiting outside for me. "Wow, Y/ N. You look incredible" he said. "Hi, Byeongseop. Thank you" I reply. "Do you want to go out with me?" he said. "Of course I do" I reply. He smiles and hugs me and we get in a cab. We made eye contact in the car. My heart skipped a beat a little. Maybe I am falling for Byeongseop but I don't know it yet

Byeongseop and I arrive at a burger restaurant. It's like a diner place and looks really nice. We go in and get a table for two and sit down. Byeongseop pulls my chair out for me because he is really kind and sweet like that. We smile at each from across the table as we picked up the menus and look to see what we want to eat. We have drinks come to the table and then we ordered food and talk between us a we wait. Byeongseop tells me that Joowon did kinda set us up today but he wanted to go out with me too. "I knew Joowon was up to something. I know her too well" I say. "Yeah you do. She's funny she makes me laugh and you do you too, Y/ N" Byeongseop smiles. I laugh too. Soon our food comes and we tuck in soon and eat and enjoy it. Can't wait to have dessert after. I really like American food like burgers and fries and it was very delicious indeed. "I'm stuffed but I still want dessert" Byeongseop said. "Yes me too but we can share" I reply. "Sure" me smiles. For dessert we had a delicious hot chocolate cake with vanilla ice cream. After we go outside and wait for a cab. "So, Y/ N. I really enjoyed tonight. I had a great time hanging out with you and a delicious meal too" Byeongseop said. "Me too. Delicious. And thank you" I said. Byeongseop looks at me and he hesitates for a moment. "Y/ N, you didn't have to change for me because I liked you the way you were before you had this make over. I know that Joowon was only trying to help you but Y/ N I think you are beautiful just the way you were. You are beautiful on the inside and the outside" Byeongseop said. "Thank you. Maybe I should have more confidence in myself because I think I am falling for you, Byeongseop" I smile. He smiles and pulls me in and kisses me. "I think we should start dating. We have known each other for a while and like each other" Byeongseop said. I smile. Yes I think I have finally fallen for Byeongseop and Joowon helped me be more confident about myself and to get a guy to like me for the first time in my life
