Kris x Non-English!Fem!Reader

You and your father were from France living in the small hometown during the summer. Your father was great at English, so he could easily switch between the two languages, you on the other hand, were crap at learning new languages. But English you half figured out with your father teaching you.

He only teached you the important words, like adjectives, verbs, all of that stuff. But you weren't confident to use your English, so your dad would always have to translate it for people. Your dad also tried many times to get you to speak in English to people, but you'd always freeze up under the pressure.

Your head felt like it was going to explode, as it was your first day at the school AND you had to use english. Your dad tried his best to ease you into it by meeting the head teacher and making you talk to her in English, and that helped a lot, more than you thought, but it still worried you.

You were preparing yourself while walking to school by yourself, as your dad wanted you to get used to it, and you sometimes liked to walk by yourself places, you were 17 for Christ's sake, you can't be with your dad all the time.

You got to the school and saw a deer in a green and red checkered school girl uniform leaning her back against a tree, and she looked quite worried, so you decided to start a conversation with her.

Y/n: Bonjour!

Noelle: O-Oh, bonjour to you too! You're the new kid from France right?

Y/n: Qui.

Noelle: Ah, well don't worry, everyone here is very nice! Well... except for Susie, the big purple lizard, she's the bully around here.

Y/n: Oh.

Noelle: But don't worry! She's actually nice if you get to know her! It's just those first interactions that are scary. Say, you're human aren't you? Have you met the other human?

Y/n: Non.

Noelle: Oh, well I think you should get to know them, sure they're a bit weird, and the silent type, but you should still get to know them! Just like everyone else! I'm Noelle, what's your name?

Y/n: Y-Y/n.

Noelle: What a great name from a beautiful country, i've always wanted to go to France. You worried about your first day?

Y/n: Qui.

Noelle: Well don't worry, wouldn't want you fainting on your first day, haha. If Susie or anyone else causes you any trouble then come running to me or something, i'll help you if you get in trouble, not that I think you will! You look like a very well behaved girl (WHY'D I SAY THAT!?)

(Damn, Noelle is down bad two times now)

Y/n: Hehe, thank you.

Noelle: You speak English as well?

Y/n: Only the important stuff, and if I have to, I much prefer to speak in French.

Noelle: Oh, well don't worry! Maybe we can all learn French! Haha.

Y/n: Hm, maybe. But you looked worried, what's wrong?

Noelle: O-Oh, u-um, n-nothing, don't worry about it, you shouldn't worry yourself over other people's quarles.

Y/n: Isn't that how you make friends? By helping them?

Noelle: Y-Yes! B-but...

Y/n: So you don't want to be friends?

Noelle: I-I do! I just don't want you to worry yourself over my problems, even if it is to help.

Y/n: Oh... well i'm sure it'll be fine, whatever you're going through.
