Today was just a regular old day, you got up for school as you had no choice and did what you usually did, got dressed before brushing your hair. And because it was summer it was also hot, so you wore skirts that went down to your knees with fishnets or no fishnets on your legs.
You wore a black and pink skirt, no fishnets, and a white t-shirt tucked into the elastic of the skirt at the top. You giggled to yourself as you brushed your hair in the mirror making it twirl as you knew this would make some of the boys look at you, which you liked as you loved getting attention.
(I've heard your cries, don't worry. And this is the only time I'll be updating a oneshot as I like to keep everything in once published)
You left your room after putting on your perfume and-
"Y/n! Your breakfast is getting cold!" that was what you heard from downstairs as your mother called up to you. You ignored it like always and walked downstairs after grabbing your school stuff. When you got downstairs you sat at the table to eat your choked breakfast, which was scrambled eggs on toast with black pepper ground into it.
"Oh Y/n, you always do like to make the boys go crazy don't you?" Your mom said as she shook her head with her hands on her hips making you giggle while eating your breakfast. Once you finished your breakfast you brushed your teeth and hugged your mom goodbye.
You started to walk to school while holding onto the straps of your backpack, and just a minute later you felt like someone was watching you from a distance making you stop. You turned your head to see a pair of red eyes coming from behind a tree, and you just stared at them as they stared back.
But the body that belonged to the eyes came out from behind the tree seconds later, and once you saw who it was you just breathed a sigh of relief.
Y/n: Jeez Kris, you really know how to freak me out huh.
It was Kris, your childhood friend. They walked up to you and once you set your eyes upon theirs again you blushed a bit, but when you did look closer it looked like they had been crying.
Y/n: Y-You ok? You look like you've been crying.
They nodded and you just shook your head before putting your hands on their shoulders.
Y/n: Kris please, i'm your friend, I care about you, you can tell me anything that's bothering you. But if it hurts you to talk about it then I won't pressure you, ok?
They looked down and nodded again, you removed your hands and gave them a smile when they looked back up.
Y/n: C'mon, we'll be late if we stay here for much longer.
You started to walk but before you could get any further Kris grabbed your left hand and held onto it making you blush as you walked. Kris then started to rub their left thumb against the back of your hand making you blush more and heart beat faster. (If you hadn't guessed it by now, you kinda had a crush on Kris, and it seemed they had one on you as well.)
But this wasn't the first time they had done this, or held your hand.
One week ago:
It all started a week ago when you were stuck with an assignment Ms. Alphys had given you, and as you were about to rip it up a hand was placed on the paper. You looked up to see Kris standing at your desk in front of you with the same dead straight face they always had on.
You didn't have feelings for them at the time so you just smiled at them, to which they returned by handing you a note they had written in class.
The note read "Noticed you were struggling with this assignment, so Alphys swapped our partners around for no particular reason, this now means we're working together. Meet me at the library".
