THANDI
I spend my whole Sunday morning and afternoon anticipating what my evening will be like. Tonight I just want to get to know Gundo better, I'd like to try and erase the whole coffee shop drama and what happemlned after and get to know the man behind the danger and good looks. It's crazy how I'm now so curious but I was singing a different tune back at his house
I guess his words about being upfront about what we both want ignited something in me. He's a straightforward man and I want to be more confident like him. I don't want to pretend that I don't like him when I know very well I spend more time with him
I pick a purple sheath dress that's knee length, It's also has puffy offshoulder sleeves. I love the way it hugs my body and shows off my curves. I know I have a gorgeous body shape and I love showing it off so you'll hardly find me wearing loose fitting dresses
Gundo called and said he'd come get me at six in the evening so when the time neara I make sure my make up still looks good and that I'm completely ready for the date
At exactly six there's a knock "You're beautiful" Is the first thing he says when I open the door
He's wearing a suit again with no tie and he looks a lot better than the last time at the hospital "Thank you"I smile and turn to lock my door so we can leave
He takes us to this italian themed restaurant and we are shown to a corner, almost secluded table. He pulls the chair for me to sit then removes thr chair opposite me and brings it next to me so he can be closer and the waiter gets our drink orders first
"This is a beautiful place" I look around, the setting where our table is at allows me to get a full view of the restaurant
"It is, it's one of my favorite spots"
"You come here often?" I ask and he gives me a knowing smile
"I've met with business partners plus it belongs to an associate of mine"
"Oh, I see. So this is where you conclude your shady dealings"
"I do have legit businesses too"
"So you're not going to deny that you have shady dealings?" I feel a bit suprised that he's not even trying to deny it
"No, you're already aware of it so what's the point in denying it?"
"And you aren't scared that it'll turn me off"
"You would have turned me down the first time I asked you out but you're here"
The waiter brings out drinks and I relax on my chair sipping on the cocktail drink while he has a beer
"What exactly do you do Gundo?"
"I can't disclose too much yet but I can tell you that it's not all lawful"
"You're a mob boss" I say looking at him and the look in his eyes tells me that I'm right
"You could say that"
"And it's a family thing"
"Yes, it is" I ask remembering the time I had breakfast with his siblings and he nods
We talk more about his life and family and I learn that he has his mother and grandmother in Venda. He never had a relationship with his father, he's not even sure if he's still alive and he clearly doesn't care. He was the first to move to Cape Town and when he started making good money he brought his twin brothers along, the initial plan was to keep Gwen out of it but she forced her way in, he says she started trouble and cleaned it up on her own in attempts to get his attention and show him that she's not a fragile little girl, eventually she became a part of the business and they run it as a family. I listen to him attentively and the way he talks about his family is so passionate, he has evidently taken the role of the leader and protector of the family. Can he get any better
