Gundo

'Dr Thandiwe Netshia: Pediatrician'

I silently read the words written on my wife's office door and they bring they bring this pride from deep within. It's only been weeks since we tied the knot and made it official in the courthouse and sometimes I still can't believe I have this amazing, beautiful, intelligent and kind hearted woman as my wife, she's mine, all mine

I walk in and find her assistant packing up, it's almost time to go home and she looks ready to be out of here

"Good afternoon" I say to get her attention

"Oh hi, Mr. Netshia, how are you?" she asks enthusiastically

"I'm good, you're here for the missus?"

"Yes, she's still busy?"

"No, she's packing up too, you can go through" she looks at the door to her consultation room and I walk towards it. She's laughing loudly with a male voice laughing alongside her and the door is slightly open so I don't just push it open instead of knocking. She's with her colleague, I think she said his name is Musa and they both turn to look at me when I step in

"Hey, you're early" Thandi says with a smile and I walk to her side

"I didn't want us to be late"

"Oh yes" she says remembering we've got plans "I'm almost done. You remember my friend, Musa"

Friend, last I heard he was a colleague

"I do, you good?" I look at Musa and he nods

"All great, you?"

"I'm good" I say and it goes quiet

"I'll be off, see you Monday" He says to Thandi and she says goodbye to him, I don't know if it's just jealousy but he's eyes linger on her a little longer than I'd like, but Thandi doesn't seem to notice this as she soon grabs her own bag and we head out

She walks slightly infront of me. She's wearing a long sleeve white shirt thats tucked in her pencil skirt. It's hugging her body so perfectly and I move my eyes to the sway of her hips, it's almost hypnotic and I could look at her all day. She greets a few people as we walk by and although I'd like to ask more about Musa I decide not to, Thandi is a beautiful woman, she's sure to catch a lot of admiring eyes but I trust her and right now I choose to focus on my trust in her than what Musa's intentions might be

I drive us to the shooting range, shortly after we got married and she moved in with me and the rest of the family I gave her a gun. As much as I'd like to believe that I'm more than capable of taking care of my woman, I also know things will be a lot better if she also knows how to defend herself

When we get there I lead her in and we bump into the owner "Gundo, it's good to see you" he says when he stops infront of us

"Marco, Thank you for squeezing us in even though it was short notice"

"It's not a problem" He looks at Thandi

"This is my wife, Thandi. Baby, this is Marco, the owner of this range"

"It's nice to meet you" she says

"Same here, I've arranged for someone to assist you. Have fun" He says then rushes off

"He's also in the Mafia, isn't he?" Thandi asks when he's far from us

"Why do you say so?"

"I've come to understand that ninety percent of the people you're associated with, if not more are in the mafia"

"Marco is Dante's younger brother, we are all in the same business" I explain without saying a lot and luckily she doesn't push the conversation

A lady approaches us and tells us that she will be the one assisting Thandi with lessons then she goes to set up
