We fly back very early in the morning with me not wanting to spend more time away from home than I already have. Emmé sleeps most of the trip back which is a plus for me because I need to get my mind in order, I see what she's trying to do and for a moment I may have swayed a bit but I quickly got back in line
She's attractive, I won't lie. And the way she kept flaunting herself for me, I let my guard down and almost fell for it but just one thought of Thandi was enough to get me to see that I was treading on thin ice. Right now all I want is to see my wife and sleep next to her, it's a saturday and we are very early so maybe she will still be in bed when I arrive, I can only hope
I tried calling her last night to hear her voice before sleeping but she didn't answer, which had me a bit worried, I know she's not okay so when she doesn't answer her phone it worries me. It's like I need to hear her voice to jusg calm my nerves and now as we head home I can't wait to see her
Dean is already waiting for us when we land and I get in the front with him as we drive home and when we get there thr first thing I do is run up the stairs to go find my wife
I'm met with disappointment when I enter, she's not there and the bed is already made, there's no way Thandi woke up this early on a Saturday morning. Maybe she slept at her house
I check in with the security at her house already grabbing my car keys so I can head there but I'm told she hasn't been there in days and thats when I go to find Given and Gwen, they must have an idea
I walk downstairs to the kitchen and I find both of them eating
"Welcome back" Gwen says
"Where's Thandi?" I ask impatiently
"Uhm sleeping maybe" Gwen shrugs
"She said she be at her house, she needed some time alone" Given says
"She's not there, her driver?"
"About that..." he starts and I narrow my eyes at him already knowing I won't like what he's about to say "She insisted on not being driven yesterday"
"And he just agreed to this?" I grow tense
"I told him it's okay"
"Are you out of your mind!" I try not to stay calm but can't believe Given would be this careless, I'd expect this from Gift. Not him, not when he knows how much security means to us all
"She was having an off morning, would you rather I had argued with her about security?"
"If it meant keeping her safe then yes-"
"Alright, alright. I'm sure I can find her" Gwen interrupts getting up from her chair and we both follow her up to the study where she turns on her gadgets and starts going off at the keyboard
"Look, I'm sorry. I just didn't want to add on to her frustration" Given says calmly this time
"I get it... I just wish she wouldn't abandon her driver when he serves as her guard too. A lot can happen to her"
"Her car is still parked at the hospital" Gwen says
"She never left?"
"Wait, I'm tracking her phone"
I stand there eagerly waiting for Gwen to tell me where to go, I can only hope she's not in danger. Maybe she's with Asanda, but they haven't spoken in a while... Maybe Melo
"I've got an address, it belongs to a Musa Sibanyoni" She turns the screen to me and it feels like somebody just released a grenade inside me
