today i found out my name was first popularized by shakespeare in his play twelfth night
also it's really hard to spell twelfth
like the lfth part
that's a lot of consonants in a row
also i learned that i am not very good at poetry
i also learned people suck and they will go out of their way just to hurt you
my creative writing teacher learned what "bae" means and that it can be a noun and an adjective
also i learned i am an idiot who tries too hard when really theres no point in trying
like should i study for 2 hours on a test? no, because i'll fail anyways
should i try to get an above 90 average so i'm in honors next year? no, because god will fuck me in the ass and give me an 89. just watch.
honestly i just realized how weird america's grading system is
like getting below a 65 is failing.
honestly i think it should be below 50
it'll just make everything easier!!!
1-50 failing 50-100 passing just let it be!!!!!!!!
also state tests are weird
like i just learned schools only do them if they want funding from the state??? is this true???
then again, most of you probably dont live in new york
so let me explain: grades 3-8 take a math and english test every year given by the state of ny and if they fail they go to summer school
how fucking rank is that
teachers have to waste their time preparing us for this fucking test instead of teaching us cool things
like i wanna learn how to do my taxes in math class!!! but no we have to learn systems and shit bc of the test
i wanna learn how decipher old english!!! but no we have to learn tone and mood and shit
also can i just say i'm a really bad reader
like the reason why i get lower scores on tests than i should is because i am suckish at reading
i got a 77 on the reading part for my entrance exam for high school lmao
but at least i got a 95 on the grammar (: (: (: (: (:
also i got an 88 in math and those stupid logic questions with the patterns and shit yup got that down
and in total i got an 88 on my exam
