Chapter 10

Wolves and Sheeps

"Does it hurt too much?" You asked as you hurriedly got off him and offered your hand to help Jungkook, to stand up from the floor.

"My head." He complained as he brought one hand to the back of his head which had come in contact with the hard floor abruptly due to the unexpected weight that fell on him and pushed him which was none else but your body.

"Oh my, Seriously? Come on, let's get some ice on you then." You grabbed him by the arm and helped him retain his equilibrium, ignoring the eyes of many who had turned to view the unexpected spectacle, some among them shocked that someone had done such a thing to their CEO and he hadn't taken their head off yet.

Jungkook's secretary hurried to press the elevator button so it would return, and help you take Jungkook back to his office.

"Don't die because Seon won't stop complaining to me until my ears fall off. She will nag me to death." Jungkook gave you an annoyed look as he didn't have time for jokes, nor he was taking this lightly as you seemed to be, for he had really hit his head hard and it was hurting, making him slightly dizzy and that was the reason why he had not yet started yelling at you.

As soon as the elevator arrived, Jungkook's secretary also grabbed him by his other arm to support him, making Jungkook angrily push both hands away from him as he got frustrated, finding their behaviour embarrassing to his persona because he didn't want to come off as weak.

You all entered the elevator after him and he kept his composure until he reached his office, ordering ice to be brought to him before taking a seat at his chair with you at the side that had followed him somewhat anxiously.

"You seriously got hurt that much?" You questioned him as you left your things in a chair and went to him to examine his head up close.

"Stay away from me! Miss Moving disaster!" Jungkook looked at you angrily as soon as you got close enough to him,  causing you to slap him on the neck lightly and getting him unprepared for that action of yours as his eyes grew wide instantly and his voice rose to a yell while he shot you a death stare."Yah! What are you doing? Where are you hitting? I'm in pain!!"

"Just sit still so I can have a look and don't talk!" You abruptly grabbed his head and held it steady, parting his hair to see the skin.

"How is it? Am I bleeding?" Jungkook's voice was heard in a whisper, terrified that he had cracked his head or something because he did not have time to go to the hospital as he had a lot of work on his hands today.

"Ahhh, I think Seon should start looking for another husband. We're losing you." You joked and started laughing while taking some steps away from him.

I really said I shouldn't involve personal issues with work but I already think I am regretting hiring her.

The door that opened caught the attention of Jungkook who was about to respond appropriately to the anaesthesia of this woman who takes everything as a joke and his secretary came in with a tray that had the ice pack in it.

Jungkook grabbed it immediately and put it on his head before signalling with his hand to the secretary to leave, which he did immediately without a second thought, realizing his boss was in a bad mood.

"Should I invite Seon to come and pamper you or do you think you will make it through this Odyssey by yourself?" Your dripping sarcasm made you crack up a bit but you tried your best to collect yourself and appear serious, his stern gaze, however, made your tries fail as your wave of laughter couldn't help but escape.

"I will call her by myself and she will remind me why I can not kill you and then I will call my brother to give him my condolences for the girlfriend he has who can not even walk normally yet, without getting a civilian population injured in the way" Jungkook stared you down while holding the ice pack, his words only making you laugh even more.

"You have a little humour. Congratulations." You admitted before you approached and grabbed your things with a smile and then went closer to him, now with a different facial expression.

"All jokes aside. Thank you for the opportunity you are giving me and sincerely sorry for the mess. I will try not to disappoint you." Your serious and sincere words, and the way you looked at him firmly in the eyes while uttering them, made Jungkook feel slightly reassured and he gave you a nod before he avoided your eyes and you simply touched his shoulder and smiled at him before turning and leaving, closing the door of his office behind you.

Taehyung looked for the umpteenth time in front of him at Ari with whom he was having dinner and she would also stay at his house tonight.

Ari still lives with Dae as in the beginning all four girls lived together but after Seon and You met Jimin and Jungkook who were quite well off and after you got into relationships with them, you parted ways. Jungkook had bought a house for Seon as he did not want his girlfriend to waste money on rent and Jimin had asked you to live with him, and to everyone's surprise, you had agreed even though you had not been in a relationship together for more than five months, back then.

"You like the food?" He asked, drawing Ari's attention from her plate to give him a brief affirmative answer by shaking her head.

Taehyung glared again as he travelled his tongue into his mouth in indignation as had been trying for a while to get the conversation where he wanted without having her realize that he already knew something.

Yoongi had informed him that he would make his first move today and also informed him how their lunch break went to the restaurant that he took her.

And what bothered Taehyung was not that she seemed to have fun in their time together for it made sense and it was human to laugh and be comfortable with someone you already know but the fact that she still had to tell him that such a thing had occurred, had aroused strange thoughts in his mind.

After all, if it wasn't something strange, why not tell him. So he thought that she would probably have forgotten it all as a detail since it most likely wasn't important enough to be mentioned and that was the reason why he was trying to bring the topic around things that could remind her in some way so she could tell him and his thoughts would finally calm down.

"How did you spend today at work you did not tell me? You must have been drowning at work again I imagine." Ari wiped her lips with the paper towel before giving him an answer.

"Nothing much but yeah we had a lot of work for sure" She spoke nothing but the truth casually making Taehyung give her a thin smile, slightly giving up inside.

"Ah! I forgot to tell you. Yoongi passed by the store today and we ate together at the break. He said Dae was busy and could not eat with him and he doesn't like to eat alone." Ari started laughing thinking about how childish this fact seemed when it comes to someone like Yoongi.

Taehyung's face lit up immediately as soon as she spilt what he was waiting for, the trust he had in her busting immediately and making him happy.

"Oh seriously ?! What to say then, Dae shouldn't leave him alone. I immediately felt sorry for him. He loves her madly, I tell you, she is the only one for him." Taehyung exaggerated a bit in his words with the aim of paving the way for the future and making Ari have no thoughts about Yoongi separately from Dae, not even subconsciously.

It was a psychological method that he intended to apply along with many other good and bad methods. After all, this little game was not an easy task because in addition to having to take care of his own property aka Ari from the wolf's teeth he had to become a capable wolf on his own and grab the other's property before he does it first and this part the truth was that he had not thought about how to accomplish it yet but since the game had started, he also had to start making moves.

"Baby? You alright?" Ari's voice took him out of his thoughts and he quickly smiled at her before leaning closer to her and pecking her lips, making his smile even bigger after the kiss.

"Everything is perfect, baby. Everything."
