Chapter 77

Jungkook got out of his car which he had just parked under Taehyung's apartment building, which he went to meet at this late hour of the night to get an explanation.

He and Yoongi were the only ones who knew about the pills so one of them should have told Seon and if it wasn't either of them then someone else would have known and they had kept it from him. Be that as it may, he was determined to find out and make whoever it was, pay for meddling in his affairs.

He ran up the stairs to the third floor quickly and slammed his fist on the door, making Taehyung and Ari who were sitting on the couch watching a series, get startled at the loud banging.

"What the heck?" Ari wondered as she stood up and Taehyung did the same.

"Taehyung open up!" Jungkook's voice followed, erasing her confusion and bringing worry as Ari knew that Seon had gone to meet him.

She, unfortunately, couldn't sit around and wait for her to come back, as Dae and you agreed that it would be best not to arouse suspicions to the guys.

Taehyung ran and opened the door and a clearly irritated Jungkook walked in, completely oblivious to Ari's existence as he entered the living room.

"Tell me it wasn't you." Jungkook confronted Taehyung as he inwardly wanted to believe that none of his friends would do such a thing to him as they were well aware of his love for Seon.

"I don't understand what you're talking about," Taehyung answered him as he then looked towards Ari in an attempt to make her presence noticeable to Jungkook.

Jungkook followed his gaze and then sighed, calming his nerves a bit. He grabbed Taehyung by the arm and dragged him to the kitchen door so they could talk without being overheard and then he briefly explained what had happened with Seon.

"So tell me. Were you the one who told her or not?" Jungkook looked him in the eyes and Taehyung had remained silent, wondering who had done it, but even if he knew, telling that to Jungkook now - seeing how angry he looked- didn't seem like a good idea.

" Are you serious now? Yoongi Hyung and I have both been through so much trying to get you out of this you know. Do you even know what legal consequences could follow if she decides to sue you? What if the police were to find those pills on you? We would never get you involved in potential danger and you know it!" Taehyung replied telling him the absolute truth as after he and Yoongi had found out they had only hidden it in an attempt to protect him.

The truth was, that's why they wanted the pills away from him to begin with, just in case. If Seon was to denounce him, she would be called a liar. Yoongi tried to use you for this purpose but it seemed that Jungkook had hidden those pills well and everything went south before they could even do anything.

"Fine, Fine, don't be offended I believe you. Since it wasn't either of you. Then tell me who it is." Jungkook's question made Taehyung visibly nervous and Jungkook could tell that his friend knew the answer to his question.

"Tell me!" He insisted and Taehyung sighed.

"I can't. Trust me you don't need to know. What's done is done now. You should just think about how to fix things from here on out." He answered him and his words made Jungkook's eyes widen.

He gave him a stern look as he hadn't come here to get lessons on what to do from anyone. He himself had plunged into pain that none of them could ever understand. There was nothing for him to fix because the only thing he cared about was Seon and he lost her for good, by his own doing.

He always knew what he was doing to her was wrong but he was obsessed with her. His love reached the point of madness and sickness and he knew it well but he could not escape. He couldn't help but love her the same, want her the same.

"If you don't tell me in two minutes, know that there will be trouble for you." Jungkook's words shocked Taehyung as his friend was clearly threatening him and that was something Jungkook would never do to his friends. At least the Jungkook he knew would never act like that.

To Taehyung's surprise though, the Jungkook he knew was not the person standing in front of him at that particular moment and as Taehyung didn't answer, Jungkook turned around and approached Ari.

"Your boyfriend here has made a bet to see if you would cheat on him along with Yoongi Hyung. They agreed to make a move on each other's girlfriend and whoever of you girls was to admit first that you had fallen would win. He intended to sleep with Dae to win." The words that left Jungkook's mouth without any emotion left Ari speechless as well as Taehyung who couldn't believe his ears.

"Good night." Jungkook turned to face Taehyung as he walked away, giving him an annoyed look while leaving poor Taehyung alone to deal with a heck of a mess he hadn't thought he would find himself in so suddenly.

You were sitting in a corner at the airport, waiting for the plane that Jimin was supposed to be on.

You two had talked on the phone as he finally called you and as he was telling you of his condition, you had grabbed the chance and convinced him to return home and be with you under the reassurance that you wouldn't tell anyone that he had returned.

So he told you that he was going to take the first plane back and you had run to get him after leaving Dae with Seon, who had come home a mess and with a lot of questions about herself and her life.

It was obvious that she was lost, that this truth had shaken her psychological world and made her question what reality was anymore. Seon was in such a bad state, that Dae had to calm her down and together with you, had taken her to her bed and given her some sedatives in order for her to rest.

It was obvious that this situation was not going to go smoothly and you were very upset about it all because seeing your friend like that was not easy for you. It was like you were seeing yourself, after that incident with Luke and just like back then, now as well you found yourself in a situation where you didn't know what to do to make the situation better.

Dae had stayed with Seon as you had found an excuse to leave, intending to spend the morning before going to work at Seon's and then the afternoon and all night, as Dae had work tomorrow and couldn't stay.

With a mind full of thoughts you were sitting and looking at the flights coming and going waiting for the Tokyo flight to arrive, and to your delight, you heard over the loudspeakers the announcement of the landing of the flight, that had come right after the announcement of another arrival from London.

You got up and headed for the checkout, hoping to meet him a bit earlier, but as you reached the moving stars and got on them, your gaze which had so far been nowhere, in particular, stopped at a man, who took your breath away.

There, just on the other side, on the stairs that were going down, your worst nightmare had just passed you by.
