Chapter 26

Jimin smiled at the sound of the music playing on his radio and at the reaction your reaction as you were seated in the passenger seat.

"Woa~my favorite song !!" You left your enthusiasm to show as the song changed and you turning up the volume while beginning to play in the air the sound of the drums that the song had.

Your movements made Jimin laugh but as soon as he noticed the bandages around your arm, the smile faded from his lips as last night came to his mind again.

Regrets had eaten him all night because he honestly had no intention of hurting you but he did and you didn't even seem angry with him, which had made him feel worse.

He could never really understand you. Your behaviour has been a mystery to him many times. Yet you had never failed to express yourself in a straightforward way when it comes to showing care and treating him well. Of course with exception the times felt distant due to your issues with physical contact.

Even a simple hug was sometimes a whole burden because he couldn't predict your reaction and for someone like him who lived for physical contact it was extremely difficult to be with someone like you. But he stayed. He chose you.

And now what does he go and do? Because even though he knows that you certainly don't deserve such a betrayal, he still couldn't stop.

He hated it. The fact that nothing had changed after so long. That he returned to the same place he was in the beginning when he started this relationship with the hope of saving himself. He still loved the same woman. And she was not the girl standing next to him right now.

"Ah! We have arrived ~." He heard your voice, waking him from his thoughts as proceeded to park his car in front of the company building.

He had offered to take you to work himself today and although you had refused, he had insisted. For some reason he didn't want to leave you alone. And he probably didn't want to be left alone either, since today he had a day off.

After the harsh words he exchanged with Seon, he needed some time to himself and had thought of going to Japan and staying there for three days to think. And it would have been good for him to stay away from Seon but after what happened with you, he couldn't bring himself to leave, for his absence would leave things a mess like this between you two and he was truly sorry.  He wanted to make amends.

"Wait for me." He told you as soon as you tried to open the door of the car to get out.

He rushed out instead and went to your door and opened it for you like he was some kind of butler, winning a giggle from you.

"Jimin, my goodness...I am not that incapable, it's just a scratch." You told him while still laughing and Jimin just stretched out his hand and took your bag so as not to let anything weigh on you and inconvenience you.

"I don't care. Today I will stay with you all the time." He announced to you, making you roll your eyes finding him dramatic.

"But-" You tried to object but Jimin who put his hand on your shoulder and started pushing you lightly towards the entrance, interrupted your try.

"It's my company too, you know. The boss won't tell you anything, don't worry." He told you jokingly, now that he had entered the building,his presence with you winning the attention of many that certainly were about to comment on this news.

Well, if they didn't say before that I took this position because I had connections they will definitely say worse now.

You thought to yourself, knowing full well that the gossip that was falling on this company was about to be heavy now that everyone was to know whose girlfriend you are.
