Chapter 105

You had gone through a chaotic night that had left you unable to sleep till late because Jimin had returned home smiling from ear to ear, looking the happiest you had ever seen him and he had kept you occupied telling you about how things had gone on with Seon. 

The news sure were pleasant to you and you had ended up joking a lot about how strange that was considering the past but at the same time, it felt so much better the fact that despite everything, no one had ended up hating anyone.

Sure there had been heartaches and hurt feelings, hurt egos and even moments of spit but it was a relief, that by the end of it all, Jimin was still someone that cared for you and he was someone you care for. And Seon was still your friend, even if the blind trust for each other was no longer present. 

I guess that's just how life moves. Or that was what you had concluded especially when this morning while Jimin dropped you at work, you met Seon by the elevators and she informed you that she had come to speak with Jungkook about their divorce. Such a grand word that once would shake her world, now she spoke of it with such happiness that had left you still thinking about the delight on her face, while you were seated at your desk, staring at your screen.

I hope Jungkook will be looking as delighted...

You thought to yourself just before you snapped out of your trail of thought and started typing again on the article you were working on, trying your best to ignore that little whisper in your head, that added a bit to your worry.

...maybe there will be a part of him, that still will mourn the death of their relationship

There was nothing strange about that statement, for anyone could feel regret for the way some things have gone down and considering the way Jungkook had loved Seon, feeling an emptiness after his marriage comes to a closure, would be only natural, however, you couldn't help but feel slightly bad for him at that moment.

Who knows how it really feels, failing to keep a marriage better than the ones involved in it? This experience sure must have had a bitter taste that you weren't in a position to understand but you just hoped that both he and Seon from now on, will truly be happy besides the people they loved.

There's no need to worry, he will make it. He went through worse news.

You reassured yourself just as the door slid open and Jungkook with his secretary entered the office space, making everyone stand up as this was his first visit around for this day.

You didn't bother but gave a small bow of the head from where you were, before returning your eyes to the screen and going on with your work, assuming he had no business with you but Jungkook kept staring at you while the others returned on their seats then he walked over, aware that everyone's eyes were on him.

He halted right behind your chair and without hesitation, he brought his hand around your neck and lifted your head up, so you could meet his eyes.

"Ignoring me I see." He commented while you had momentarily been caught off guard, and grew way too aware of his fingers softly resting against your skin.

"I-I am working." You managed to reply, while your eyes tried to avoid him but because of the head placement, you could only be looking at the ceiling if not at him.

"What kind of work is more important than you looking at me?" He questioned and you just slapped his hand away in order to lower your head, because your neck started hurting.

"Don't you have anything better to do than bother me first thing in the morning?" You stood up to meet him eye to eye as you glared at him, already imagining how much his behaviour was going to be commented on once he leaves.
